Yet Sarutobi Hiruzen had ordered them to the battlefield under Hokage's orders, which turned the task into more of an obligation than a mission. For Uchiha Qiye, this meant he despised being taken advantage of, so he made a mental note to settle accounts with Hiruzen later.

At the gates of Konoha Village, the two gatekeepers hadn't yet taken their posts. However, Qiye recognized the two Chūnin stationed there. They were familiar faces from his last mission, and it made sense; Genin were too weak to guard the gates effectively, while Jōnin would be overqualified for such a duty. Thus, Chūnin were the ideal choice.

"Hey, you brat! You're actually here," a familiar voice called out.

Qiye looked up to see the source and found himself facing none other than Tsunade.

"Why are you here, you violent woman?" he asked, surprised.

"What do you mean why? You're the one causing trouble," she shot back, glaring at him with her beautiful eyes.

"You're overconfident. I could take both of you down in minutes with my strength," Qiye retorted, returning her glare.

When enemies met, it was often a recipe for tension, and this sentiment rang especially true between the Senju and Uchiha clans.

Years ago, when Uchiha Madara returned and fought Senju Hashirama, he met his end at Hashirama's hands, leading to a significant loss for the Uchiha clan. The resulting resentment toward the Senju lingered long after.

Following Hashirama's death, the Senju clan felt wronged, believing that Madara's earlier battle had led to Hashirama's premature demise. Thus, they exchanged blame, causing the bitterness between the two clans to flare once more.

Boom!

"Little brat, let's settle this in the training ground and see if I can knock you down!" Tsunade exclaimed, unleashing an astonishing wave of chakra, her face grim.

The sudden display startled those around them. The weaker shinobi felt an immense pressure under her chakra.

"Who are you trying to scare? Your chakra is Kage-level!" Qiye straightened up, his own chakra surging in response as he clashed with Tsunade's.

The ground beneath them cracked under the force of their competing energies, the sound echoing ominously.

"These two..." Jiraiya muttered, speechless.

He knew all too well that when the Senju and Uchiha clans crossed paths, trouble was inevitable. They were already on the verge of fighting before even leaving the village.

"Enough!" Jiraiya suddenly shouted.

"We're on a mission! The brothers fighting against Sunagakure are waiting for our support. Are you two going to continue this bickering while they need us?"

At his command, both Uchiha Qiye and Tsunade retracted their chakra, albeit reluctantly.

"Little brat, I'll let you off this time because Jiraiya's here. But next time I'm back in Konoha, it'll be one-on-one," Tsunade warned, crossing her arms.

"Cut it out; who are you trying to intimidate?" Qiye replied dismissively. "One-on-one? I'm Uchiha Qiye, invincible! Next time we duel, you'd better bring Orochimaru and Jiraiya along. Otherwise, I'm not interested."

He looked at Tsunade with a mix of contempt and amusement. His reluctance to engage in a fight wasn't just because of Jiraiya's intervention; he was more concerned about being late and wanted to keep his image intact.

After all, everything was about maintaining appearances, and that was the priority.
