Traveling the Multiverse for Fun

Just like the first author of this story, I plan to just relax and upload as I please with this. I will put thought and time still into it, and making sure I at least have things right, but I won't be making sure that I have things 120% accurate, this is purely for fun. Jack, a pretty normal guy until he learned the term 'Jack of All Trades.' When he heard that term, he decided you know what? I'm going to live up to that name, and he did. He became pretty good at a lot of things but never mastering it, that doesn't say he still didn't enjoy reading, watching shows, or Anime, just enjoying life. He made a living off his ability to be good at a little bit of everything and he lived a pretty good life. That was until he got nerfed by God himself and got cancer. He knew God was afraid of his power of course it was all a good joke to make his family and friends more light-hearted to the situation, and after a time, he fought pretty well, but he was the jack of all trades, so after a while, he passed away, happy with how he had lived his life. Picked at random by a group of gods and told some bullshit about how everything is infinite, so he could feel free to go kill a few gods, they'd be fine anyway. As long as he just enjoyed his life, and tried to make the gods laugh while he did so.

Long Live the Queen!

As Jack studied and studied, practicing with his magic in a far stronger time dilation then he most likely should in the dungeon he continued to learn spells, from the first year, all the way to the last year. Many more beyond, his memory making it very easy to memorize everything then read over it in more depth later.

It was then that he got to occlumency. He learned that training into it at a higher level allowed better control of emotions and the mind, which in turn allowed to have better memory.

"I wasted a wish on this? Yo what the fuck? Actually... Maybe not wasted? This makes me able to control my emotions on the outside, there might also be some things that my wish doesn't cover. I'll just need to train into it."

Which, wasn't exactly, hard, but it was by no means easy. It relied heavily on self control, and meditation. There was also the more brutal way, by having someone attack the mind with Legilimency, forcing you to create barriers.

He already had protection against his past life, so he asked his Grandfather to help him with it. He more then easily agreed. 'Every wizard should be able to protect their secrets.'

Unlike Snape however, he wasn't so aggressive with it, he was far better with it, smooth small ones, starting from just surface thoughts, then as he got better, deeper thoughts, until he had a sturdy control over everything.

Instead of it being showed in some fanfics as a mind palace, it was more about the control and sensing someone attempting, able to control your thoughts, make them see the things they don't want to see, make them hear and feel what is just a lie or trick.

When he asked his Grandfather he laughed, such a thing as a mind palace did exist, but it was old and ancient ritual magic, strong as well. Something that not even he himself had access to. He admitted in his old age as he is now, his mind is already starting to slowly slip, missing smaller details.

When Jack asked if it would still be possible to use, there was a long moment of silence between them, not a bad silence. Albus always did this when he was thinking deeply.

After a few minutes he finally spoke. ''It wouldn't be impossible, no. In fact for me at my strength as it is, I should have the energy to be able to cast it, but ritual's became against the law, but we both know how I feel about that." There was a soft chuckle from the old man before he continued speaking. ''No, what worries me is that in my age, my hands are starting to shake as my memory slips. I feel that if I were to use the ritual, I might mess it up.''

Jack gave a slight nod. ''The only ritual that we have already engraved in the house is the age ritual, right? I know you plan to use it in the next few years."

''Indeed my boy, it just takes quite a while to build up the energy to cast it, however it should be ready in the next year or more, once it is I shall appear younger. A shame that I had to wait until now to be able to use it though.''

Jack gave a shrug. ''What can you do? Most wizards even if they wait this long never get even near the required magic to be able to cast such a ritual. You grew your reserves as far as you could, the only thing that was left was your spiritual strength to catch up with your physical and magical. At least now, if nothing goes wrong you should be able to. remain a live for as long as you wish... Though, is my research goes through, you may not need to worry about your old injuries so much, I might even be able to return you back to your younger self."

The old man chuckled softly. ''Still in pursuit of your wish for a Panacea Jack?"

"Of course, think of all the lives I could save, it might even be able to make squibs a think of the past!"

A dark look, for only a moment crossed over Albus' face when he heard that before he spoke. ''Actually Jack, it is about time you learn something...'' He raised a hand, waving it around. The privacy seals of the headmasters office began to be put up, the gargoyle's at the door also being instructed to not let anyone in without making him aware.

Some of the paintings of the head masters and mistresses seemed to take interest in this. Was the old man finally going to tell Jack?

''Squibs, are by no means natural Actually, it is because the ministry has made rituals illegal."

Jack raised a brow but he leaned back in his comfortable seat, ready to listen to this.

''Actually, there is a ritual, most simply call it 'Magical Cleanse.' A ritual that gathers the magic of the family, and the surrounding area's and purifies it, removing impurities and many other things. The longer the ritual is casted through the generations, the stronger the off springs of that generation are. It is because that ritual is no longer being widely used that squibs have begun to appear.''

Albus heaved a deep sigh. ''In fact, everyone has the ability to cast magic, with time and effort. But only those with certain talents are able to readily cast it as easy as those within the school do. It is why even muggles can see magic, and why we try so hard to keep everything hidden behind the strict code of silence. In fact, some of the higherups of the world, such as the Queen of England knows of magic, she herself can cast some minor magic. They help us in keeping magic strictly regulated.''

'So that explains why the Queen's so old, tis not virgin blood nor infant flesh, but magic!'
