Meeting Erwin

(A/N: Long awaited chapter. Hope you enjoy it. I have some free time (Finally), so I will try to write some more in the time that I have.)

The trio of teens was soon taken into custody, Eren having already fainted from the excessive actions he had done today. His titan form was slowly disintegrating, steam rising from the blackening skin.

At the side of said corpse, Shinobu was taking notes in excitement, lifting limbs, dissecting the muscles and taking samples of the blood. The latter being a little futile as it too was starting to evaporate.

The one unknown person that had arrived, another youth that was tainted in the titan blood. Steam rose from the blood as his clothing was soon spotless once more.

"Explain what happened here. To the letter."

He said as he stared at the group of unknown and strange people. The cat mix human being the most attention grabbing, with the fox eared girl the latter.

"Hey captain~ Do I need to answer this shorty? He's affecting the taste of the beer."

Ban whined, taking a chug from the bottle in his hands. Akane twitched, getting annoyed by Ban's choice of words. If the brat in front of her was a shorty, then she was surely a midget in his mind.

Ignoring Ban entirely, Akane turned her attention to the man, boy, in front of her.

"Depends on who asks."

She simply replied, as she tore a piece of meat from the freshly made chicken wings. Maybe this was another problem, as they had started a campfire in the middle of a war.

"I'm the one asking the damn questions. Who are you and what is your purpose in being here."

Akane frowned at the coarse reply, but still decided to answer.

"We came to offer a bit of help during the time we are forced to stay in this miserable place. I am Eldertale D. Akane, if you so desperately wanted to know. The tall joking guy on the side is Ban, an immortal. The one looking like a panther is from the Mink tribe called Soren. The pale smiling guy is our ships navigator, Lafitte. Lastly the woman so engrossed into the corpses of those titans there is called Kocho Shinobu, our doctor. Now what is your name, rude guy."

Akane bluntly replied, making the man in front of her do the same.

"Levi Ackerman. Squad captain of the Survey Corps. Now explain what happens. And quickly."

Levi said, looking in the distance where other people were engaging Titans in squads of five.

"Ah right. Answers, sure. How long do you want it to be summarized. Like, we closed the hole and killed the titans? Or, we helped the teens over there to stop the titans while the unconscious boy turned into a titan and plugged up the hole in the wall."

"Both suffice. Return with me to the headquarters. You morons aren't in the clear yet."

Levi grumbled as he unsheathed his swords and took off, already arriving near a squad that was having problems taking down their titan.

"It seems we are seen as suspicious people, hehehe."

Lafitte commented as he downed the glass of wine in his hand. Throwing it to the side after emptying it, Lafitte brushed the dust from his pants.

The rest soon followed, with Soren putting out the fire and dragging Shinobu with him, as she was still taking notes of her findings.

"Should we follow him, captain?"

Soren asked, placing Shinobu over his shoulders, the latter not minding at all as she continued to scribble in her notebook. On the pages, an intricate form of the titan were drawn, both the muscle structures and bones were depicted as lifelike as possible.

"I suppose so. The log pose won't reset anytime soon, so we should make the most of the time we have."

Akane just shrugged, as she pushed off hard and began to follow her fellow midget. He was leaving obvious trails behind, as titan corpses were strewn about like broken domino pieces. Taking out more than a few titans herself, she and her crew made easy work following behind Levi, as they soon arrived in front of a military post.

Seeing no one there, Ban became a bit annoyed.

"There is no need to go here, Captain. Why should we listen to a pipsqueak. I say we find some place to rest for the day. They won't notice anyway with all the ruckus going on."

Looking at the annoyed Ban, Akane couldn't hold her mouth either.

"Ban. When you call him pipsqueak, what am I in your eyes, huh?! A midget?"

Looking down at the angry looking Akane, Ban just chuckled, not taking it serious at all.

"You are the little fox~ If there was a midget it would be the Levi guy. He is an combination of the words pipsqueak, midget and shorty. You can still grow bigger."

Ban jokingly patted her head, rubbing it hard. When he was satisfied, her head looked like a mice nest.

Looking away, Ban then took the notebook from Shinobu, who was finally out of her revery.

Not minding one bit, she let Ban and Lafitte look at it as her gentle eyes held a trace of malicious intention as well.

"Ne, Akane-chan. I remember hearing the word Moron. It wasn't meant for us, right~ I was hearing things, right~"

Opting not to answer, Akane let the group do their own thing as they waited. It wasn't for long though, as Levi came out again, at his side a tall blonde haired man. He wore the same uniform as Levi. Stopping in front of them, his eyes shortly lingered on the group, mostly on the inhuman looking ones.

"I am Erwin Smith, Commander of the Survey Corps. Come in. We have a lot to talk about."

Saying that, he turned around, not even looking if they were following him.

"He is being disrespectful. I really want to kill him."

Lafitte muttered, swinging his cane through the air as his other hand reached for a gun that was hidden beneath his jacket.

"Later, Lafitte. Let's see what they have in store for us."

Akane replied, halting Lafitte from doing something they would surely come to regret. Levi had been looking at them with cold eyes for a while now, his hands having gone to his blades as well.

Smiling at Levi, Akane followed the man called Erwin inside, the rest of her crew following behind her. Not minding the following eyes one bit, she looked curiously around the room. It was surprisingly dull, as there was no decoration at all to be found.

From what she remembered, the diplomatic buildings in the Goa kingdom were more lavishly decorated than this place.

Stopping in front of a door, she was led inside, where a group of old people had gathered. Sitting at the same table as Erwin was Pixis, the man she had met earlier today.

"Sit down. What you will share with us will surely be mindblowing."

Erwin said as he pointed at the empty chairs at the end of the table. Not standing on any manners, Ban sat down on one of the chairs, placing his legs on the table as he leaned down. Lafitte remained standing, as did Soren. Only Akane and Shinobu seriously took a seat, the smile of the latter unnerving the old man at the table a bit.

"Now then. We have already heard who you are from Levi. Introductions are therefore forgone, as you already know the ones in here that matter. The situation has been made clear as well, the only thing remaining a mystery being your origins. Explain to us where you come from. As well as the reason for your presence in this city."

Erwin stated, leaning his head down on his hands as he intently looked at the one he presumed to be the leader of the group, Akane. The other men in the room only had eye for Soren, as his appearance raised many questions in their minds.

"Where? We come from East Blue. A part of the sea laying near paradise. We've recently come to the New world, arriving here to let our log pose reset so we can move on to the next island."

A clamour was created as the men in the room didn't believe what they had heard. Many questions were asked, but Erwin quieted them all.

"Then... Are there humans on these islands you speak of? Are there titans there as well?"

Confused by the question, Akane couldn't help but ask one of her own.

"There are. Shouldn't there be? Though titans are something new, probably only existing here."

This time, Pixis spoke, keeping a firm grasp on the way the conversation was going, as well as refraining others from speaking.

"How did you come here? The area outside of the wall should be infested by titans."

Akane couldn't help but laugh at this.

"How? That is funny. We came here by ship and we ran all the way here. Don't treat us like a normal human. I have a literal immortal in my crew."

Chaos erupted again, which wasn't stopped this time as the ones leading the conversation had remained quiet, stuck in their own thoughts.

Levi was the one who spoke up first, his eyes being drawn to her crew all the time.

"What kind of race are you guys. I can't imagine you would be human, especially that beast over there."

Levi commented, looking at Soren.

"What race you say. I am a proper human, thank you very much. I just ate a devil fruit which made me a Tenko. Ban and Shinobu here aren't from our world, while Lafitte is very much human as well. Then Soren, he is a mink. A race that lives on a giant elephant that wanders the New world endlessly."

Satisfied with the reply, Levi nodded at Erwin, who did the same. Both Levi and Erwin stood up and left the room. Motioning for Akane and her crew to follow, he left the bustling room behind, noticing a few unpleasant looks as she left.

Pixis just smiled as he waved them off, his eyes staring down at those that continued to clamor even when Akane and her crew had left the room.
