Lucien never expected that Carly's baptism and transformation would take so long.
Sitting on a large rock at the edge of the floating island, Lucien gazed at the sea of clouds in the distance and the slowly rising golden speck above the clouds.
Beside him, a bottle of fruit wine was also placed.
"As expected of the ancient mystery known as Cloud Country. Although it's not my first time watching this sunrise above the sea of clouds, each viewing makes me feel as if my spirit has been baptized anew," Lucien said leisurely while enjoying the fruit wine and the magnificent view of the sunrise over the sea of clouds, in an exceptionally pleasant mood.
This was already the fourth month that Lucien and his companions had been on the floating island, yet there was still no sign of Carly awakening.
Even the scroll space where Carly had received her baptism had completely closed off by now.
