"What? You are still alive?" Brendan looked at me and laughed, "I see, you're the OTHER one right?" he pointed at me and smiled.

"Enough talking already you coward." I stepped slightly backwards and took out my dagger, "You have blonde golden hair, and jewelry azure eyes and your skin is light apricot." Brendan smiled

"Another royal blood huh?" he pulled his arms against his chest and prepared to lay a blow

<Royal blood?!>

He swung his sword down to the ground, I dodged and barely landed on the broken ground, "Come here!" he dashed towards me and swung his sword again, I casted the earth spell and his blow was stopped when the ground went upwards.

"You, took Adam's comrade!" I attacked his directly on his left eye with my dagger, Brendan immediately kneel down and held his eye

Blood spurt out from his eye and he clenched his fist along with his sword, "Know your place fool." I raised three of my fingers, starting from my thumb

Casting a powerful spell with my soul energy, the spell which is taught a long time ago

"F U R I O U S R E D . "

Pointing three of my fingers mid-air, a red-light object appears on top of it, releasing the spell towards Brendan, a huge amount of demolition destroyed the 3rd division area and most of the shoreline.

Water came splashing on the destroyed land, smoke was there everywhere, he fire that Adam set up earlier has been cooled off.

"See? Your only level to me is lower than a peasant, fool." I held my dagger and put it back on my pocket.

"Mission accomplished.....Adam..."

"Where am I???!!" I looked around and I instantly knew where I was, "I see, this is the soul society huh?" I sat down to nothing and think.

<We meet again, Adam.>

"Shadow!" I looked behind me as he stood there, and smiled, <I'm sorry Adam, I couldn't save Astro in time> he replied while approaching me

<It's time for you to go back, it's your body, I am just a substitute> he pointed two of his fingers on my forehead

The next thing I knew I was awake on my own body.

*drip*

"Ah!" I looked around and the whole place was massively destroyed, "What enormous power..." I looked in awe

I laughed as I looked in amazement, "This is what happens when you're strong enough?!" I smiled brightly then I saw, Astro's mask, it was flying through the air.

I ran after it, not being able to grasp it in my hands, it flew towards the ocean.

{"Hey, let's go and eat some tuna!"} I smiled as I recall Astro's favorite words.

"Thank you. You showed me happiness when all I knew was suffering, thank you for cheering me 'till the very end, goodbye Francis Hugo...." I smiled and closed my eyes to thank him.

I went back and took my way back on the dragon, suddenly I heard a loud voice.

"Shadow!!!"

I widened my eyes as I heard my name.

(That voice, there's no doubt about it.....Scarlet's in danger!!!!!)

I ran through the thick forest where I might have heard Scarlet's voice, "Damn it, I lost track of her voice!"

(I might use the telepathy card, that Astro gave to me, Scarlet might have it too! I need to try...)

I took the card from my pocket and held it in my mouth, "Scarlet, can you hear me?"

{"Shadow, come here for a second...."

"What?" I sat beside him and he was laughing, "Here." he handed me a piece of a card

"What do you want me to do with this?" I looked at him and frowned, he laughed.

"Idiot, it's no ordinary card, it has an alternative current flow of soul energy inside, when you touch the card, your soul energy will be connected along with the card, and you can use the energy as a telepath communications using the air element."}

"Can you hear me, Scarlet?!" I shouted as I held the card

"??!!!" I arrived at the location

I stood frozen from what I saw, the land was destroyed, and half of Neidelberg is destroyed!

I looked down below and Scarlet was there gripping the card and her sword, she was huffing loudly, (She's extremely exhausted…)

I ran all the way down and soon I realized that I shouldn't go near her.

As I ran down the hill, a fire bursts on the ground, I dodged backwards, "We meet again, 'shadow'" George was on the top of the hill raising his hands and smiled at me.

That bastard, he knew that we'd invade 3rd division of Gakuen and ambushed Scarlet like that.

"George." I looked up towards him and clenched my fist, I hopped above the fire and wear it off with water element, I dashed towards Scarlet and George's spells just keeps coming.

(If I am going to help Scarlet, I need to get rid of him somehow, but, I don't have much time, Scarlet's drained most of her soul energy on defensive.)

"You're not focusing on our battle, 'shadow'….." George hopped down and approached me, "I'll kill you." I looked at him with furious eyes and he just smiled

I swung my dagger up and he dodged, I tried to hit him on his left arm but he dodged, I casted a fire spell on his back and he smiled.

"Isn't this interesting?" he looked at me as I was about to fire the spell, "Now I am a full-fledged teacher." He took both of my arms and threw me up high in the sky, I looked down below as I was about to fall down

He kicked me on my right side and I ended up stumbling on the trees, (His kick is powerful, my back hurts.) I looked above and there he goes, he punched me from above and hit my head, my nose bled as my head was pressured because of the impact

The ground below me broke and I got stuck beneath, George crouched and clenched my hair, "So you see, this is how I teach people like you who still needs a lot more practice." He pulled me up and threw me to the open place

I raised my hands and the spell has been casted, "The roar of the phoenix!" at my command, a blaze of fire came drilling towards George and he smiled, "Idiot." He raised his hands and pointed his fingers, as the tip of his finger touched the fire, the fire dissipated

"Why?" I looked at him with shock written all over my face, "I can counter the fire element with water, remember?" he approached me and smiled

(Damn it, I panicked…)

I stood up, and tried to run but the pain of my body keeps me from going, "That's good, 'shadow' you can try and break your limits yourself!" he looked at me and raised his thumb

(Is he seriously joking?! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!)

I clenched my fist and stood up while swaying like a tree, I dashed towards him and swung my dagger, despite everything I have put off, and he keeps dodging all of them.

(I need to find a way!) I ran around the forest to make some time to think

"Playing tag again?" George followed me from behind and smiled

(First of all I need to lure him out and use my soul energy to defeat him, but that doesn't seem very realistic to me, I need to be more realistic!)

I grabbed my dagger and looked behind my back; I swung it with soul energy hurling on my hand and as result, the ground shakes and destroyed the trees. I smiled in relief that my plan worked, George took a step back to avoid the demolition

"I don't think normally, George…" I smiled at him and he chuckled

I ran towards Scarlet and she was there full of bruises and cuts

(Who is she fighting against?)

I looked up towards the hill and he was there sitting casually like a king would, "Hollow?" I trembled in fear as he sat there silently.

The sun was behind him and his shadow was intimidating

I dashed towards Scarlet and she sat in exhausting way, "Scarlet, get a grip!" I pat her from behind and she sighed

"I didn't do much but, it's up to you, Shadow" she help my hands and became unconscious

I put my head closer to her mouth, she was still breathing, despite those damaged body of hers, her mask was clean as the sky

(Is it really that precious to her that she doesn't want it to be dirty?)

I held her tight and carried her on my shoulder, "Hang in there, Scarlet!" I dashed towards the forest to escape but the ground shattered and a wall appeared

"No more running away, Adam." George and Hollow hopped down the hill and brushed the dirt off their clothes

(Damn it!)

*Drip*

"!!!" I looked around and I wasn't at the forest fighting George and Hollow

<You look pitiful if you keep helping others even though you do not possess the power that could defeat one of them>

"Lend me your hand!" I raised my hand to form a deal

<What will you do?"

"Help me like last time!"

Shade sat there in silence

<I refuse.>

"What?!" I trembled as I heard his words

<You may not be able to take care of yourself if keep tugging on to me. Do it yourself…..Adam!>

*drip*

"I can't!!!!" I shouted in pain, "I've always been like this ever since I met [Adam]" I held my head up high and tears came falling down

"End me." I looked at George and he smiled

(It's better this way, I want to see my family once again, and Astro…..)

"Like I would, brat!" George punched me on the face and the impact grew more powerful than before, my jaw was damaged

I stumbled on the trees and sighed, "Just kill me." I looked at him and he didn't react

I stood up, stunned by his blow, I swayed there underneath the tree, and he threw another kick on me, I went flying over the trees and stopped when George held my hands and threw me down.

I couldn't see clearly, my face is all roughed up, "Adam, I don't want to do this but, this is a lecture for your own good." He pulled me up on the sky and dragged me down towards the ground

The pressure in my jaw, is too tight, he is holding my neck too tight!

I gripped his hand and he chuckled, he threw me towards the rock, my head got hit too many times, I think I won't be able to make it.

I coughed blood, as four of my ribs broke; one is stabbing my right lung.

George approached me and held my left hand, "Did you know what the left hand is for if you're a right-handed man?" he slowly gripped my left hand and broke two of my fingers

"aaaaaaaaaaaaghhhh!!!!!!!!!!" I shouted in pain and he just laughed

"Geez, keep quiet, it was only two fingers." He released my hand and casted the lightning spell

I looked at him and I smiled

(That's right you should end it here...I am sorry, Scarlet but, I want to end my suffering, I want to be with my family.)

"Adam?!" A voice, I heard my mom's voice

(Ah. I am hallucinating, I am really going to die.)

"Adam, I guess you're still a kid for me." He raised his hand up high and spoke, "Falling cumulonimbus." By his command, a lightning struck above me and this was the end.
