"Prince Lucas asked us to give a fifteen percent penalty," James said quietly, bowing his head as he reported to Duke Henry. He was afraid that the duke would be angry because the negotiations had failed completely.
"So, he refused to settle our debt unless we pay the interest?" Duke Henry clenched his fists.
"As expected from someone like Prince Lucas, he lent us money not for social purposes but to make a big profit the easy way," the duke said, grumbling in frustration. He knew it wasn't Prince Lucas's fault. It was all Liana's fault for trivializing the matter.
Duke Henry's attention turned to Helena. He looked at his granddaughter, who was frozen, hoping for a solution she would propose.
Prince Lucas had always been someone Helena avoided dealing with. If there was a greedy person who liked to exploit loopholes in business contracts, it was Prince Lucas. No wonder that he was incredibly rich at such a young age.
