Chapter One

Anyways, as I was saying at the end of the prologue, I am a vampire. Was born one, will die one. But my parents don't know that I am one. Now, some of you, as you read this, might be asking, how can her parents not know shes a vampire? And here's the simple answer, I kept the secret. Zane told me to keep the secret so I have. It's that simple. They never asked the right questions and I never told them the right answers. Now, some of you may be wondering by now who Zane is. Another simple answer, the love of my life and the guy who turned me into a vampire. We met each other a year ago and fell in love. If you want to hear the story, here you go. I'll send you into my brain for a little and I'll tell you it from my perspective.

It all started one fall day, October 15 to be exact. I was walking into school and going to meet up with my friend Maria before school started. I was just walking along, minding my own business when I walked into a tall and lanky body. Now the lankiness was not abnormal, seeing as we live in Autumnport. But everyone here is like 5'5" at the tallest and I'm about in the middle at 5'3". So the moment I saw how tall this dude was, I assumed he was new and decided to take it easy on him.

"Hi, I'm Georgia." I put on the brightest smile and put my hand out in between us. Now, we also live in a small town, Horndean, Autumnport, and everyone knows everyone.

"Hi I'm Zane." The stranger says, taking my hand in his giant one and shaking it.

"Are you new here? I'm very sorry for running into you." I put on my most dazzling smile now and he finally smiles back.

"Oh its fine, I was standing in the middle of traffic. I am new, why?"

"No reason, just I have lived here my entire 17 years of my life. And I have never seen you before."

"I just moved here with my mom, dad and sister."

"Okay cool. Do you need help finding the front office?"

"Yeah, I'm just a bit lost. It's such a big school." He did a little shrug, like he's ashamed to say this.
