"Nom... um... gul," Aru produced a sound as he quickly devoured the food in front of him. The gargling noise he was making when he drank the water was extremely striking.
Later that night, Aru finally got his wish. He was eagerly chomping on meat and gulping down water, having been hungry all day. Now, with food filling his stomach, he could finally relax.
"Ahhhh... I will miss this when I return home," he remarked as he continued to eat.
The food in Ice Phoenix City was delicious. Once he went back home, the poverty of his tribe would force him to eat bland meals. This thought weighed heavily on Aru, who was quite the glutton.
"You can come here anytime you want. The Ice Phoenix Clan won't treat one of their saviours badly," Deva said, sitting across from him.
Like the matriarch, Deva understood the crucial role Aru played in the battle against the demons, so he was always welcome in the clan.
