Walking out of the detritus my attack wrought, I fixed my hazy vision on a tall bloodied figure standing in my way.
"Snap out of it Elias! Don't succumb to the voices!"
The silhouette waved around its hands and sprayed my face with its disgusting blood. Strange sounds of jittering static came out of its mouth adding to the corrupting voices in my mind.
My head was throbbing with pain. I could feel the veins on my face pushing painfully against the skin and the repeated gibberish of the figure would rattle my brain even further.
'Kill'
'Slaughter'
"No, NO stop!"
'RAGE!'
"AAARRGHHH"
The whispers of madness drove me to insanity. I could feel the patterns on my body burn my skin with more ferocity, and the whispers turned to wails of a psychotic banshee.
My body hurt, my skin burned, my head throbbed with indescribable pain. The only thing that felt right to me was to cave in to the desires of my wrath.
I wanted to attack that mysterious silhouette. I wanted to disembowel it, take off its head, rip our out its eyeballs. I wanted to sink my teeth into its flesh and drink the blood out its skull.
But I held back, barely. I let go of both weapons and gritted my teeth as strong as I could.
My hands clawed at the burning patterns etching themselves beneath my eyes. My arms climbed up further and frantically dug themselves into my scalp looking to pull out the screaming monsters occupying me head.
It was futile, no amount of clawing would get them out and no amount of screaming would get the burning to stop.
Even though my body felt full of energy, overflowing even, I felt a strange sense of exhaustion. I kneeled on the ground and struck my head against it, hoping the pain in my head would distract me from the voices occupying it.
'Enough of this, I have no choice but to take him out before he hurts himself anymore.'
Isaac put back his axe into the dimensional storage he had on him and carefully approached his son wary not to trigger any feral reaction.
However, thanks to the enhanced senses he got from the bond with Eset, and his empowered state, Isaac's efforts proved useless.
"GET AWAY FROM ME!"
Snapping his head forward toward his father, Elias screamed and extended his hand forward and formed a green magic circle filled with runes, launching vines that pierced through the earth and struck his father's broad hairy chest.
With a grunt, Isaac snatched the vines shallowly digging into his torso and crushed them under his mighty grip
'Damn talented kid
Alright nighty night'
With a quick zap to the back of his head Elias flopped down limp and the glow on his body vanished into a burst of greenish golden steam.
Looking down at his son's unconscious figure, Isaac sighed before sitting down next to him and caressing his thick wavy brown hair. His rough fingers coursed through the fragile strands of brown discovering some salted hairs in between. Isaac planted a kiss on Elias's forehead before roaming his eyes over the cabin.
'The whole place is a mess'
The wood cracked in many places just from the pressure of Elias's Aeter mixed with malevolent bloodlust. The furniture was thrown about, the doors unhinged, and the ceiling caved in, letting sunlight escape its confines and shine down on the two unfortunate souls toyed with by the ever fickle strings of fate.
'Oh Gods and masters of fate, give this boy some respite I beg of you. He has already gone through too much.'
The little owl was that was hiding behind the cough in fright, came closer and nudged the boy with her wings. Her big black eyes shedding tears at her companions anguish.
[W-will he be okay?]
"Oh don't worry about him, he'll be fine, just a bit tired is all."
Seeing the downcast expression remain on the worried little owl, Isaac decided to cheer her up.
"Why don't you help me fixing a few things? I heard from Elias that you're space magic was mighty strong"
[Of course it is! With my help you'll have this wooden nest good as new.]
"BAHAHAHAHHA Atta girl. Alright you can start, I'll be putting the boy in his room, the gods know he can use some rest."

Familiar ceiling, tired body and missing memory. Just your average day in a fantasy life?
'No not really, but it seems I've made a habit of it'
I wanted to get up but it seems it's not an option. So I just laid there, taking in the fragmented memories as they came rushing to my head.
It was similar to piecing together a jigsaw puzzle, except the final picture did not give me any feelings of happiness or accomplishment, just…emptiness.
'Still weak. Of body and mind…'
That big of an effect huh? Who would have guessed that only five years would have me that attached to someone?
It's, it's traumatizing.
I can't think of her even for a second without the hole in my heart widening further. One minute we were together and the next we were not, just like that.
'But to think I am that much of a mess'
I let my emotions get to me. Even though I meditate every day, it proved too overwhelming to control.
[ELIAS! You're awake, I'll call dad don't move]
Breaking me out of my depressive thoughts, Eset suddenly flew in through the window.
'Dad? since when was he "Dad" to her?'
I watched the little bird flutter away not even a moment after she entered my room through the window. She seemed pretty anxious.
'I gave her a fright didn't I.'
Trying to keep my thoughts positive, I stopped worrying and tilted my head towards the starry night watching as the balls of energy competed with each other to see who has the strongest light and greatest beauty.
I gazed at the night sky enamored with the fantastical light show for a while before my view was blocked.
*sigh*
Interrupting my star gazing, a rough face with a majestic beard and long brown hair shaved from the sides came into view.
My father cracked a toothy grin and splattered saliva into my face as he spoke loudly.
"What'cha staring at boy?"
"Before you stuck your face into mine or after?"
Father raised an eye brow at my quip before he zapped my nose.
"Ouch! Dammit"
On reflex, my body jolted out of the bed as I stood as far away as possible from this child abuser.
"Good, you can walk. Put on some clothes and follow me. Time for another lesson from your DADDY!"
Clutching my nose with teary eyes, I walked over to the window and closed it in his face, pretty sure I hit his nose in the process.
"ARGHH" an aggrieved yell sounded from behind the closed window, verifying my hypothesis.
'Ah, music to my ears.'
I tried to act frustrated, opening my closet and donning on my gear with fake anger. I wanted to convince my self to just lie down and brood, and that my father was the villain for making me go do whatever that brain of his wanted me to do, but a smile still crept on my face and a little joy returned, closing the gap in my heart ever so slightly.
'Heh, thanks dad'
