Chapter 1Prologue Meeting Korra

A portal opened and spat me out beside the statue of a giant bald man holding a staff. The massive statue had an arrow on its head, and it stood in a heroic pose. Below there was a deserted building boarded up and almost forgotten like the tomb of some long-dead king. But then, just off the city's coast, a massive, industrialized city was booming with life. My neutrality ended when I saw a dark-skinned beauty staring back at me with luscious blue eyes across the ocean on a bridge.

This was my vacation; there weren't any system challenges. They would be pointless; nothing here would stand a chance against me if I got serious and needed to train some new spells. A pink book plopped out of a hotkey from my inventory and opened to one of the first spells.

A tier 1 spell called Lust Touch opened on the first page. It was tier 1 because it only branches from the spell seed into three branches. The faucet for my mana turned on and let out a trickle just enough for the seed. The girl continued to stare at me as I approached the edge. Finally, I think she yelled something, and her giant white dog bear thing jumped into the water.

The thing swam at an impressive speed. So, I jumped down. The girl threw herself off her bear and waved her hands, and the water leaped up to push her towards the small island with the statue. The girl threw herself onto the island but was too late. I hit the ground, and my knees relaxed a little to balance out my fall. Cracks appeared across the ground, but the rock island was no worse for wear.

I approached the girl while I slowly put my spell together. Magic was hard, and no one could tell me otherwise. Wizards casting spell after spell at each other on the fly was kind of bullshit, in my opinion. Sure, I had the power to do something like that but not the skill, and spells were all about skill. There was no powering through learning how to properly form spells. Tier 1 technically had 2 to 10 steps, and tier 2 had up 3 to 82 and spells only became more complicated as the tiers increased. Lust Touch was a comparatively easy spell. I could put it together in a minute without ever practicing it, thanks to step-by-step instructions from the book.

The girl was breathing heavily while her white dog bear thing made its way over. "Are you an earth or air bender? I really wished I had known that before I rushed over here." the girl asked.

I let her words sink in, and foggy memories of the Avatar series and the later disastrous Korra series came to mind. "I'm neither I just have strong legs. My name is Red; what's yours." I held my spell out in front of me and fed power slowly to stabilize it.

"Korra, I'm the avatar; nice to meet you; do you live in Republic City."

"No, this is my first time coming here; thanks for trying to save me. It wasn't necessary, but it's the thought that counts. Do you want to go explore it together?" I asked and launched my lust spell at her to see what happened.
