Making Varsity
Connor Mom stops at a red light
She continues to turn her head looking around in a panic
Connor Mom: What do I do
The light turns green as she dials Dominic number
Dominic: Hey Ms. Bell, Can I help you?
Connor Mom: LISTEN TO ME VERY CAREFULLY
Dominic: Ok… What's wrong
Connor Mom: Something is wrong with Connor and I need your help
Dominic: Whats wr-
Connor Mom: Just listen… I'm heading back towards the house I need you to be at my door
Dominic: Ok
She heads back home searching for Connor
As she pulls up to a stop sign she sees a body laying in the street
Connor Mom: CONNOR?!
She gets out the car and runs to his body
Connor Mom: Are you ok?
His vision to begin getting blurry and he becomes unconscious
He wakes up and the sun is just rising
He looks at his clock which says 6:45
He gets out the bed and heads to his mom's room
She is sleeping
Connor slowly tries to close her door but the noise wakes her up
Connor Mom: Con-
Connor Mom jumps up out the bed
Connor Mom: You shouldn't be up
Connor: I'm fine….
Connor Mom: Can we-
Connor: It's getting late and I think imma head to school
Connor: Tryouts are today….
Connor Mom: You can't tryout for the team
Connor: Why? This is the year when I might get a starting spot on Varsity
Connor Mom: We dont know whats going on with you and a football field is the last place you need to be
Connor Mom: Promise me you wont go….
Connor: Mom-
Connor Mom: Promise me….
Connor: I promise….
Connor: I got to go
The bell rings
Cassidy: So she said you can't play football this year?
Cassidy: Like at all?
Connor: Yeah and this was my year for me to make varsity
Cassidy: Well you always have junior year
Dominic isn't talking and he looks like he is worried
Dominic: Connor can I talk with you for a minute
Connor: Sure….
Cassidy: Imma head to class anyways so imma see you guys in there
Cassidy walks off
Dominic: Last night…
Connor: What about it?
Dominic: Your mom called me and she sounded like she was scared
Connor: Oh yeah she told me
Dominic: What happened?....
Connor: I had fell down the stairs and she had to rush me to the hospital
Connor: I was really lightheaded and you know she is very caring
Dominic: Are you lying to me?
Connor: No… I would never
Connor: We should get to class
They head off to class
Later that day….
The bell ring and Cassidy and Connor head to the football field to watch tryouts
The players come out and they see Dominic with his helmet in his hand
He looks in the crowd and smiles
A guy that has blonde hair and green eyes
He jogs out and bumps into Dominic
Guy: Watch out
He says while walking away
Coach: Okay! Listen UP
Coach: You all are here for one reason and that's to make the team
Coach: I Am Coach Johnson
Coach Johnson: So if you haven't played for the team last year then LEAVE!
Multiple people drop their helmets and walks off the field
Coach Johnson: Alright now listen if you didn't leave and you haven't played for the team then you got heart
Coach Johnson: Caleb! Get your tail over here
Coach Johnson: This is Caleb, He is the co captain of the team and he plays Wide Receiver
Coach Johnson: Aaron….
Aaron walks up smiling
Coach Johnson: This is your Captain Aaron and he is your QB1
Coach Johnson: For today we will runs some drills then play a scrimmage game
Dominic walks to the stands
Dominic: Heys guys
Cassidy: Hey
Connor: Who is that?
He looks at Caleb
Cassidy: That is Caleb West
Cassidy: He is the second best player on the team and he also hot- I mean pretty cool
Cassidy: He is Aaron best friend and his parents are really rich
Dominic: Got it… so he's perfect
He puts his helmet on
Dominic: No pressure
He runs back on the field
Connor looks at Cassidy
Cassidy: What?
Summer walks to the field with a group of girls
Connor looks at her and they lock eyes
Cassidy: You should go talk to her
Connor: What- No I can't
Connor: She tried to be friends with us and then date someone we hate
Cassidy: Maybe she doesn't see him as a bad guy yet
Cassidy: When I decided to date Aaron you had learned to live with it and moved on from it
Connor: But you were my best friend
Cassidy: So…. And she is the girl you like so go talk to her or I will for you
Connor: I can't….
On the field
Coach blows his whistle
Coach Johnson: ALRIGHT LISTEN UP
Coach Johnson: We will scrimmage
Coach Johnson: There will be white and red jerseys
Coach Johnson: Aaron and Caleb will be on the red jersey team
Coach Johnson: Lavelle!
Lavelle: Yes coach
Coach Johnson: Grab a white jersey
He picks up the jersey
Caleb: Im going to murder that Dominic kid
Aaron laughs
They line up and Lavelle is playing defense
Aaron: DOWN….. READY….. SET….
Aaron looks at Caleb
Aaron: HIKE!
Caleb runs right then left and Dominic ends up getting lost and Caleb gets open and Aaron throws a deep ball giving Caleb the touchdown
Dominic couldn't catch him and he tried to dive tackle
Caleb: This too easy Lavelle
He runs off laughing
Coach Johnson: LAVELLE!
Dominic runs to the sideline
Coach Johnson: What happened?
Dominic: Well coach I don't play defense so….
Coach Johnson: Your going to play what I tell you to play
Dominic: Yes coach
He says with a angry look on his face
Coach Johnson: Get on offense
Dominic runs back on the field and lines up
Connor: This not looking to good
Cassidy: Dont give up on him…. I Have hope
Summer and her friends walks over and sit at the bottom of the stands
Cassidy: Here's your chance
Connor: I said I was fine….
Cassidy: She obviously came over here for you to talk to her
Connor turns around and continues to watch the game
QB2: HIKE!
Dominic runs towards the middle of the field and catches the ball
Coach Johnson: NICE LAVELLE!
He gets up after being tackled
Aaron turns around and sees Summer sitting near Connor
He walks up to Caleb
Aaron: KILL HIM
Caleb smiles and walks back to guard Dominic
QB2: SET….. HIKE!
Dominic runs straight then stop and catches the ball but Caleb comes out of nowhere hitting him so hard that he becomes unconscious
Connor: DOMINIC!
Aaron looks at summer
And she gets mad and gets up and leaves
Connor runs on the field and go next to Dominic
Coach also runs to his body
Dominic slowly opens his eyes
Connor: Thank god…
He turns around and sees Aaron and Caleb giving each other a high five
He carries Dominic to the bench and sits him there
Coach Johnson: You're gonna be a good Lavelle?
Dominic: Yes coach
Cassidy puts a bag of ice on Dominic head
Connor face turns mad
Connor: Hey coach
Coach Johnson: What do you need Bell
Connor: Let me tryout
He sees a red jersey
Coach Johnson: I thought you didn't want to play this year
Connor: I change my mind
Coach Johnson: Fine…. Only jersey left is Quarterback
Connor: I never played Quarterback
Coach Johnson: Well THAT'S THE ONLY AVAILABLE SPOT
Coach Johnson: Do you want to play or not?
Connor: Yes coach
He picks up the jersey and put a helmet on
Cassidy: I thought you couldn't-
Connor: Change of plans
Aaron looks at Connor and his face turns serious
Aaron: One down another punk to go
Connor runs on the field and gets in the backfield
Connor looks at Aaron and his eyes glows yellow
Connor: HIKE!
He drops back and looks around
Multiple lineman try to take him but he side dodge one and spins around another
He sees a receiver running towards the end zone and he throws it as he hits the ground
The ball fly high in the air and comes down perfectly and the receiver catches it as the defender falls and they score a touchdown
Coach Johnson: BELL! GET OVER HERE!
He says with a angry look on his face
Coach Johnson: I thought you said you never played QB…
Connor: I mean in my back- back yar-
Coach Johnson: NICE PASS
He says as he smiles
Aaron looks over with a salty and angry look on his face
Later on he gets back on offense
Connor: HIKE!
He drops back and throws a short pass in the middle perfectly and the wide receiver scores a touchdown
Aaron: KILL HIM
Caleb: Was waiting for you to say that
Connor gets on offense again
Connor: HIKE!
He runs to the right and starts to run the ball and he jukes multiple defenders as he runs in the endzone for a touchdown
Cassidy Jumps up and down on the sideline
Dominic: When did he get so good….
Cassidy: Talk less and rest more
Coach Johnson: NICE BELL!
A few minutes pass…
Coach Johnson: Last Play
Connor stand there scouting out the field
Connor: HIKE!
He steps back and looks for a open receiver but Caleb come out of nowhere and hits Connor so hard that his helmet pops off and his right hand breaks the other way
Caleb: AWW! The punk can't take a little hit
He says while walking away
Connor becomes angry and his eyes turns yellow and his teeth grows into fangs
He gets up and starts to walk to Caleb
Coach Johnson: YOUR HAND BELL!
He looks at his hand and he notices it is broken and hides it as he snaps it back in place
Connor: It's FINE COACH
He smiles and runs off the field
He goes into the locker room and start to lose control and turns again
He punches the locker leaving a huge dent in it
Connor: What am I…
He says while becoming angry
Cassidy: Connor?
She says in the hallway
She walks towards the locker room
Connor hears her and tries to hide in the locker room
He turns the water on so it becomes really steamy in the room
Cassidy: Connor?! You in here
As she enters the locker room
She sees it really steamy and head over to turn the water off
When she turns it off she stand there seeing a shadow in the steam
Cassidy: Connor?
The steam disappears and Connor is standing there naked, wet and with a towel around his waist…. Normal
Cassidy covers her eyes
Cassidy: I'M SO SORRY
Connor: What are you doing here!
He says as he tries to hide his body
Cassidy: I came to check on you but imma leave
She runs out the room with her eyes covered as he sighs in relief
The next day at school comes and a paper on the wall shows who made the team and who is starting
Connor sees Dominic and Cassidy standing at the paper with many other students
He walks up
Dominic: I MADE THE TEAM!
Dominic: I'M WIDE RECEIVER 2!
He looks as he reads the paper and it says the 2011 Craydon Falls Varsity Football team and he looks down at QB2 and next to it, it says Connor Bell
Connor: I'm the second string quarterback…. YES!
He says with excitement
Aaron looks at him with anger and walks off
Later that night….
He in his room on his computer researching werewolves and listening to music loudly
He receives a text message on his phone
He walks to his phone on the bed and picks it up
He reads a message that says
"Tomorrow is A Full Moon and your going to need my help"
His face becomes worrisome and he drops his phone
