The Sun Shines on Suraj

It's all about the world of Suraj. His love. His dreams. His emotions. AND- his super abilities. Because many things are there what he can't do. But what he can, well, only he can perform. A Superman in slumber. I am dividing the work into sections for fun-reading. The sections are really not necessary. The story is supposed to be continuous in character.

Section 4 "Where is the over-boundary?"

He quietly fielded. After some time some more arrived and the general decision was to start afresh. Lots were drawn. How? In fingers. One stood with back towards another, and the latter raised one or more fingers marking a number, while the former shouted a name. Batsmen were drawn out in that order.

Suraj noticed only a few persons are bowling. Normally the order of bowlers is just opposite to that of the batsmen. After some time his turn came, as nobody lasted for long.

A big field, about three-fourth of Eden Gardens, ending on one side near the foot of a hill, small twin ponds on the other side, banks  of which  are bordered by the walls of a temple place, overseen by the eight-storied set of apartments where they currently dwelt, also marked a continuous expansion further until it ended at a row of trees, beyond which sounds of vehicles could be heard, generating the impression that a road ran parallel to it, though unseen.

There was no boundary to the openness, except one. Twin coconut trees stood almost right behind the place marked with bricks as bowler's end. They had a gap between them. Suraj had already heard Avinash saying that if a ball passed through the gap, it would be regarded as six. Otherwise, if the ball crossed the small marked area without a bounce, the batsman will be out. Probably they thought not to extend themselves!

With the bat in hand, standing before the wicket, Suraj asked, "Is there any provision for six?"

Why?
