One day an unprecedented chain of events started happening around the world. Abrupt occurrences or catastrophes known as judgements were so severe it led to the downfall to the world order. From large scale combustion to floods and meteors, the people live in constant fear for their lives resorting in outlets such as the newly founded religion Empathy and by creating massive super bunkers known Castles. However in these hopeless moments a single boy fought back. Often times the courageous boy would go out and explore these judgements and their ruins, though always netting few results. He kept trying and trying until he miraculously found two major clues at a site, a strange girl who seemed to be doing the same thing as him and a strange star-like symbol inscribed on to an old piece a paper.
