The Senior Brother wants to run away

"Long Lei, Why are you doing this??" The woman shouted as blood seeped out of the massive wound in her chest thanks to the black sword piercing it.

I watched in stupefaction at what was happening in front of me, unable to move or do anything.

Not like I had any idea of what was happening anyway.

The man that had stabbed her looked at her with a sneer as he started to gloat.

"Xiuying, you should have just submitted that ring to me when I asked, now look at what you made me do"

He pulled his sword out and flickered it to the side, cleaning it off the blood as he turned around and started to fly away towards the exit of the ruins, all the while holding the golden ring with the patterns of dragons and phoenixes in his palm.

The woman collapsed by my side as she tried to reach my bloodied body.

"I am sorry, brother. I dragged you into this conflict and you had to die because of me"

She continued to apologize while tears flowed from her face and life slowly started to drain out of her.

...Really, just what the hell kind of situation is this?

It was only seconds ago that I was playing Dark Souls and then I woke up in this body and witnessed such a cliche scene, unable to move my body since this body was probably dead.

Suddenly, there were the sounds of movement from behind me which forced the woman 'Xiuying' to look over at something behind me, using all her might to just move.

Then, she chuckled bitterly as she started to lay down in a t-pose.

"So, we are not even allowed a quick death?"

At her words, I turned my head with great effort.

Soon, the source of the noise was revealed to be a beast that was part-crystal part-snake that started to slither towards us.

The very earth vibrated as the massive beast that was at least as big as a building moved, its crystal scales shone with a brilliant light as giant spikes made of multi-colored crystals ran across the length of its spine.

Suddenly, memories flooded in, informing me of what I was seeing.

A nine-colored Jewel serpent, and one that was in the last stages of the Dantian formation stage.

As time seemed to slow down around me, I started to get all kinds of memories, but the thing I focused on most was my current situation.

1. I am in a place known as the Forbidden Forest, located very near to a place called the Ancient Native Ruins.

2. I am the senior disciple of the Volcanic Flame sect, the father of my current body is the sect master.

3. The woman beside me is my little sister, Huoshan Xiuying. She was also the fiancé of that guy that just stabbed her.

4. The guy that probably killed the original me and fatally injured Xiuying was called Long Lei. The third prince of the Divine Thunder Empire.

5. I am now in a xianxia world and I am about to be swallowed by an overgrown snake.

6. Fuck my life.

Even at my peak, I would have no chance of defeating this beast, let alone now when my body refused to respond to me. Xiuying is also in the same situation, if not worse since she is weaker than me.

Fuck, where is my cheat? Did I crossover to this world only to die again? What kind of plot is this?

Just as the snake came close and was ready to end us both, another set of memories started to join in as I felt my body move on instinct.

I felt my body move as a ball of condensed fire formed in my hand and shot out, directly obliterating the top half of its face.

I ignored the surprised shout of the girl as I drowned in the new set of memories that I started to receive. overwhelmed by the sheer weight of the memories, I lost myself.

My body started to move on its own as the very earth under me moved.

Lightning crackled around my form before striking it in the exposed brain as the beast flailed around in pain but not showing any signs of dying yet despite missing half of its face, indicating the vitality of a being in the Dantian formation stage.

Once more, my body moved on its own as powerful explosions occurred all around the beast, destroying parts of its body while I subconsciously targeted its brain with the explosion, resulting in it finally dying.

Once the Beast was finally dead, I slowly came back to my senses before succumbing to the injuries and falling to the floor.

I don't know what happened after that but I couldn't care less about it since my mind was focused on something else.
