Chapter 38: Evolution and the secret of Pantheons

5 few kilometres away from the village borders, Raizel's reconnaissance spells picked up a group of orcs migrating. Orcs were a special and diverse species which is also the true evolved form of goblins. The evolution ladder is a complex subject for Raizel as well. DNA or genome helix is not actually all there is to this gradual process. the process is mysteriously interconnected with the soul as well.

"The goblins would not have lost their orc evolution route if they had not desired quick power-up, instead of going through the natural process of evolution. But considering their origin history, it's quite normal that they failed to see this," mutters Raizel.

'If my thought line is correct, elves and orcs are evolved descendants of the ancient goblins, who rejected the Hob-goblin route, thereby, keeping the evolution process untainted. The evolution process had shown its miracle ages ago with War Orcs being innately talented aura users and Mag Elves the innately talented mana users. Both routes solved the goblin's innate cultivation cap and talent problems.'

'Both species have extremely long lifespans extending to 500 years even for ordinary members of the species. I guess this is why the lineage of these two species was re-corrupted and divided into sub-groups like wood elves, cave elves, boar orcs, rino orcs, etc.'

Evolution is a gradual process of overcoming a species limitations and adapting to its surroundings. If goblins had kept their linage pure without raping and breeding with numerous races, then their body would have naturally adapted to aura and mana as some of their ancestors had achieved. But if only the process was that simple. the process would have the ancestors tirelessly pursue mana and aura only to bear fruit in the descendants, and that too after an unknown serial of generations.

Evolution's reality was harsh but just as fruitful. Evolution was the only route to perfect adaptation and as the former holder of the <Adapter>, Raizel knew that. If his speculation was correct then Mag-Elf and War-Orc were perfect vessels for lifeforce. "If I could reawaken those genes and create balance then it would be possible to create an almost perfect pantheon," Raizel mutters again.

A singular being trodding the cosmic road would never be able to reach Rank 4 Paragon without support from a pantheon. Creating a Divine Realm with a five law limit is essentially impossible. The missing laws would become flaws and missing details in the Divine Realm which in turn, would make the realm vulnerable to other pantheons. These laws are after all, what sustain and regulate the Divine Realm. Without a proper combination, everything would fall apart. That is why many lores of the divine have multiple divines who represent different aspects of their divine reality.

'Indeed, Greek Gods, Norse Gods, Hindu Gods, Chinese Gods, Japanise Gods, are all real and existent, each in their own reality with a Rank 4 Paragon holding the realm,' Raizel recalled those memories. They were all universes he had visited. 'With the support of a divine realm, many Rank 3 Nirvana cultivators would be capable of ascending to Paragon-hood.'

'Even with the <Myriad Deity Tome>, I cannot reach Rank 4 in my cosmic road without a pantheon supporting me. That is a flaw Zena had missed and one that I could not fully remedy. I have to bestow Tao laws to my subordinates for that. But as long as I control the core laws of Spirit and Vigour, the pantheon would remain under my control,' thought Raizel. 'The next problem which is evading the Omniverse assimilation could be solved with my Daos.'

The Omni-verse is the reason why these gods, even with their own universes, are forced to invoke apocalypse onto themselves. The Omni-verse as the name suggests would either assimilate the new universe into itself or ruin it to the void. 'From my knowledge and analysis, I can only say one thing. These gods are like plagiarizers who copied and stole from the Omni-verse and are now evading retribution from it.'

These gods would lose the absoluteness of their authority to the Omniverse if they are ever to be assimilated into the Omniverse, meaning their immortality could be at serious risk.

"Ironic that even immortal beings like gods need to kill themselves to live," Raizel sighs. "Anyway, let's not get distracted anymore. I need to examine our neighbors. Their genomes might have data on the original War Orc genomes."

'Food is a constant problem in my village. I should capture these orcs and breed them. If they are anything like the pigs in my original world, Earth, I would have good livestock feeding my army.' Not even for an instant did Raizel think about the 'cannibalistic' aspect in feasting upon orc meat which is essentially the next stage in their evolution spectrum. Rather he only planned to use the 'piggy' orcs to awaken a part of the War Orc genome in the goblins.

it's time to stretch my arms a bit.'

Raizel walked out of his hut headed towards the 'pigsty cave'(the cave Pig-Orcs occupied). Slowly yet steadily he picked up speed and soon his figure became a vague shadow zooming forward leaping and running across the sea of trees and greenery. However, on a closer look, one would find that Raizel's feet were not touching the ground at all. It was as if the wind consolidated for him to step on.

'I knew I could copy this. The principles behind <Wind Walk> are too simple. One simply has to use their Aura to coat their feet and use it to compress the air. Compress air gathered on the feet would be released on every step, allowing the user to hover on the air and achieve a huge speed boost. Now, add a bit of gravity to this trick' thought Raizel. His biotic field unfolded interfering with the gravitational pull of the planetary core.

'Woh!' Raizel's body lost its balance as it floated upwards.

*Bam*

Disturbing his speeding linear balance and he horizontally clashed right onto a tree. He might be a reincarnator but he is in no way the genius that he thought himself to be. Mastery over skills and spells are not that easily achieved. Otherwise, the martial and magical sages would have been in hordes on the 5th and 10th universes.
