Earth Quake? Home?

Everyone paused from the slight rumblings below our feet on our way down the street. Everyone looked around in case we were under attack, only to find that the quakes were getting intense.

"CJ, check if you feel anything going on under the ground."

"Yes, boss"

"Boss, it feels like the earth below us is expanding and contracting."

Noticing that the building was beginning to sway back and forth, I quickly yelled for everyone to run as fast as possible. We took off in the direction of the forest ahead to avoid the falling buildings in the city. I summon Crystal, Draka, and the Flame Tiger with my hand.

"Everyone hop on Draka's back; Michelle, get onto Crystal's back, and Joe, you know what to do."

As we mount our magic beasts to escape, the buildings start to crumble under the constant shifting of the earth. The once renowned city of Atlanta was falling apart. We can hear the screams of the other survivors around us, panicking and begging for help. Some people are even jumping out of the building as it falls to survive this catastrophe.

"Everyone, if you can hear my voice follow me in this direction if you want to survive!"

"Bro, are you sure about this? Once they come with us, more mouths to feed and ungrateful people to take care of."

"I know what you mean, but we should try to save as many as possible even if they don't want to follow us. You don't have to worry about if survivors will get over on us as you know what kind of person I am already."

I can tell that they are afraid to follow us, especially after seeing all the magic beasts we are riding. Most people avoid us and observe from a distance because we are clearing away the city as we go. A few brave people came closer to us as they knew they could only survive this if they were near the strong. I was even able to spot a few people who I can tell from the look in their eyes have made up their minds to become stronger to protect themselves and their loved ones.

A mother was holding her daughter on her back as she ran, and no matter how many times she tripped or fell over, she always managed to get back up and try her best to stay close to our beasts. Such drive to protect her child shows me that there are still people who care for their families. Some loners stay away from everyone around them but are still close enough to be protected by the powerful magic beast. Because all around her, others are pushing and knocking each other over to get ahead.

Not to mention that a few individuals are using magic to protect themselves and others around them. I mean, I didn't think we were the only ones making use of this newfound power, but all through our trip, I have not run into anyone else. So it was a breath of fresh air to see not everyone is living in denial and are trying to move toward a better future.

"Sam, come out and carry that woman and her child."

"Yes, master," Sam says telepathically.

When she saw the giant ape appear out of nowhere and come towards her, it gave her a big fright. She got into a defensive mode, ready to do anything to protect her child.

"Mam, please don't worry; he won't hurt you; he's just here to give you a ride," I say in the most honest and pleasing voice I can. She looks at me, unsure if I'm telling the truth. Until Sam kneels in front of her and waits for her to climb onto his hand. The five-year-old girl on her back was very excited to see Sam so close and was eager to ride on his back instead.

Others around started to voice their complaints about me not giving them rides too, but Joe took care of that for me.

"ALL OF YOU CAN GO F*** YOURSELVES!!" Joe yells loudly at the crowding riling up.

"We help her because we want to and if we don't want to give you one of our magic beasts to ride you want to get all full of yourselves. We are already doing more than enough by protecting you and leading you out of the city. If for some strange reason you're sick in the head and believe we have to do anything you say I will kill you right now. My brother out of the goodness of his heart decides to give everyone a way out of the city and if he decides to give this mother and child a ride who are you to say the wise. Don't get full of yourselves because we are not saints sent here to save you."

"Be easy Bro; you know the ramblings of the incompetent don't bother me. Besides if anyone gets any slick ideas and fails to understand their position here I'm happy to remind them."

Looking around I see some people are not content with what I'm saying but are too afraid to say otherwise. While there are others that look like they may be plotting something in their mind but I don't really care because I'm strong enough to protect my friends and family. All the same, there are also others who look towards us reverently for our show of power and control.

We ran as we kept getting more and more people following us out of the city to the nearby forest that grew overnight. There were a few people who were pushing and knocking people over after I said not to so I got rid of them. doing that got everyone in order as they saw that we weren't playing. About 30 minutes later we made it to the entrance of the forest and watch as the city we once knew fall into ruins.

There was a crowd of about 300 people that made it out with us but there are sure to be others who also made it out too. But that wasn't the craziest thing as we watch the city move farther and farther away from us. The forest too seemed like it was running away from us and looking up in the sky it looks like the sun was getting closer to us.

I quickly ask my system what was going on.

"Host, because of the large amount of mana that your galaxy was infused with, all the planets and stars are adapting to it. Your world is about five times as large as it once was and this includes the landmass and oceans. All the planets in your solar system including your sun have grown in size and power. There may even be new life forms growing on these planets soon."

I was shocked to find out that this was the reason why all the earth quakes are happening. Most if not all cities in the world have probably collapsed and human civilization will have to effectively start over. Seeing my face Michelle and Joe want to know what was going on with me.

"Guys listen up; all the earthquakes are from the earth expanding to about five times its current size and the reason why the sun looks like it's getting closer is because like our planet it is also getting bigger. I'm pretty sure all other cities are the same if not worse than our city so it looks like the route I am planning to take was the right one after all."

"Dwayne, are you sure about this because this is crazy."

"Yea Bro; the world is really expanding as we speak?"

"Yes I'm afraid so; but we'll talk more about it later."

There were some people around us who heard what we are talking about, most kept quiet keeping their comments and disbelief to themselves. While there were others that felt the need to voice their opinions stating that I don't know what I'm talking about and I'm making it all up. They believed that I was doing it just to get the crowd riled up and on my side to follow me.

"What I have just stated is the actual fact and if you choose not to believe me that's your concern but watch your mouth because I have little patience for stupidity. I do not need the crowd to follow along with me because for the most point I don't want or need you, people, to follow me. I don't like moochers so after these earthquakes pass we will go our separate ways. If anyone chooses to follow me they have to follow all my commands to the tee. You might think of me as a dictator or some wannabe king; I don't care because if you can't follow my rules I will abandon you and if you prove to be troublesome kill you. I have places to be and I will not tolerate anyone getting in the way of that. I'll give you until these earthquakes stop to make your decisions."
