Warning! This is not a harem, smut and adult story. You won't like it! This is just a trashy story with an imperfect protagonist. I guarantee the others won't like it either. If you're looking for the perfect main character, read another novel. Don't push yourself, the author has warned you. --- What happens when legendary adventurers from the past come to the future? Rafe Lostfield, the greatest Assassin class adventurer of the Acedia era, suddenly wakes up in a strange place. The atmosphere around him was very strange. He also felt something strange in his body. He thought that his friends had taken him to a faraway place while he was fast asleep, not knowing that something greater had happened to him. "Do I need to show you the real perfect magic?" -Rafe Lostfield
"I happen to be bored," Rafe said as he stretched out his arms.
"Turns out he's not only a pervert, but he has no brains," Elena muttered in surprise after hearing Rafe accept Mace's challenge.
"All right. Now take your party and come with me to the open practice field," Mace said, looking very annoyed at Rafe's words.
"Party? No kidding, I've fought enough of you myself," Rafe said confidently.
Mace looked even angrier, his friend even reminding him that they shouldn't break the rules. Mace immediately left the room without responding to Rafe's words, and Mace's friend immediately followed. Rafe also left the room, whistling casually.
"It seems like he's the one who gets the stage the most after the academy," Hayato grumbled as he followed Rafe from behind.
"Let's see them fight, I want to see a kid named Rafe get beaten to death," a Rank F student said enthusiastically.
"I'm also curious to see his arrogance," said another.
"That noble boy will definitely not show him mercy, you idiot! Accepting their challenge is the same as choosing death," Elena said as she stood up.
The first year Rank F students now came out of their classrooms to watch Rafe and Mace fight, Elena, who was the last to leave, immediately stopped her steps when she saw that a blue-haired girl was still in the classroom.
"Don't you want to see them fight?" asked Elena.
"I'm not interested," the blue-haired girl replied as she looked down at the book she was reading.
"Well," Elena said with a confused look on her face.
"She seems very quiet," Elena muttered as she left the classroom.
Mace's party seemed to attract the attention of the other students, who became even more interested when they saw all of the first year Rank F students following them from behind. Some of the second years began to cheer Mace's name.
"What's going on downstairs?" asked Miyura, who had just come out of the third-year Rank B classroom.
"I heard that the second year Mace is going to fight with all the first year Rank F students," Van Ugo replied.
"Huh? Even though they just did the test today, is he crazy," Miyura said as she walked towards the stairs.
"Where are you going Miyura?" asked Fia.
"Of course I'm going to see their fight, it must be exciting to see those Rank F kids get beat up," Miyura replied with a smile.
"She's like that," Zoa grumbled as she followed Miyura. Fia, Cindy and Van Ugo, who were in the same group as them, also came down to watch Mace fight.
They immediately went to the open training area behind the main hall of the Elexia Academy. There was a large field in front of them, on each side of the field was a wall that was used as a seat, the further back, the higher the wall.
The atmosphere there was like a Colosseum arena. The area of the field seemed to be limited by a thick and high wall, and there were only four ways to get to the field in the form of stairs.
"What am I feeling? Why is there such a thick stream of mana flowing within the walls of this field?" Rafe muttered softly as he descended the stairs to reach the large field.
Mace and six of his friends were already standing on the field, waiting for Rafe to enter. As the Rank F students and other classes began to take their seats along the wall, Mace's second-year Rank B friends seemed to begin cheering.
"Bring our weapons over here!" Mace ordered as he looked at his cheering friends in the bleachers.
It wasn't long before several of Mace's classmates began throwing weapons that belonged to Mace and his party mates. Mace quickly grabbed his sword and sheathed it around his waist.
"Decide quickly which of your friends will help you fight us! If necessary, all first year Rank F students will come to the field to fight us!" said Mace as he looked at Rafe, who had just entered the field.
"Hehehe... did I not tell you that I am enough on my own?" said Rafe as he stood up to look at Mace.
"Hahaha... so you want a one-on-one duel with me, huh?" asked Mace.
"Why don't you all come out? Are you afraid of losing?" said Rafe as he furrowed his brow.
"Tch. I've had enough of your arrogant attitude! I wanted to show you the attitude of a good noble!" grumbled Mace as he drew his sword.
"Give him the weapons from the school storeroom! Let him choose which one he wants to use!" Mace ordered.
Soon a few second year students left and returned to the training area, bringing different types of weapons and throwing them onto the field. Spears, wands, knives, swords, shields, and others lay at the sides of the field. But Rafe didn't give them a second glance.
"Why didn't you pick them up right away? I've been itching to chop your head off!" Mace asked.
"I don't need a gun just to hit you," Rafe replied.
"You have exhausted my patience!" shouted Mace.
A huge burst of mana began to emanate from where Mace was, the dust and gravel around Mace's body seemed to scatter in different directions. Waves of wind began to hit Rafe's body and everyone sitting around the training ground.
"He's going to die," Elena said quietly.
"No, he won't. Don't think of him as weak," Hayato argued, sitting next to Elena.
"I'm not talking to you," Elena grumbled.
"No problem, this is a good start for our interaction," Hayato said while wiping his fringe.
"This battle is quite good for me, this way I can observe to what extent Rafe's plot armor has an effect in battle," Hayato thought while looking at Rafe who was on the field.
"Do you feel it? The difference in strength between us!" asked Mace with a satisfied look on his face.
"You think venting your mana is enough to scare me?" asked Rafe casually.
"Tch, you still have a big head. Feel the real desperation! Thunderbolt!" shouted Mace as he swung his sword forward.
A bolt of lightning shot horizontally in the shape of a sword slash towards Rafe, but Rafe didn't move from where he stood. He just clenched his right hand, a bolt of lightning slowly began to envelop Rafe's right hand, forming a knife, a small bolt of lightning seemed to flash from the lightning knife in Rafe's right hand.
Rafe immediately cut off the lightning bolt that formed a sword slash when it was in front of him, Mace's attack was cut in half and hit the wall behind Rafe, the sound of the explosion was clearly heard along with the wind waves coming from the two explosion points.
The ground beneath the blast point began to scatter under the impact, but the wall that bordered the field didn't seem to be damaged in the slightest, instead the blast marks from Mace's attack on the wall seemed to regenerate and recover without a trace.
"Looks like this field is interesting," Rafe said as he felt the movement of mana on the wall that had been hit earlier.
"That attack didn't destroy the wall? Even though the ground beneath it was scattered like that," Hayato thought, also noticing something unique in the walls throughout the training field.
"It's impossible for a Rank F student to cut off Mace's attack?" several second-year students said with shocked looks on their faces.
"What's going on? How could he cut off my attack? Besides, he also has the element of lightning," Mace muttered with a shocked look on his face.
"Why are you so surprised? Isn't there a big power difference between us?" asked Rafe with a grin.
"Don't get excited yet! I was just making an opening attack for you!" shouted Mace as he drew his sword on Rafe again.
"The real duel is about to begin!" shouted Mace as he lunged at Rafe, sword swinging from above.
"Thunderbolt!" shouted Mace as he slashed his sword through the air.
A much larger bolt of lightning now shot down at Rafe from above, this time Rafe stomped his feet to avoid Mace's attack. A loud bang was heard as Mace's attack hit the ground where Rafe had been standing, and dust from the shattered chunks of earth began to scatter into the air.
"Class assassin, apparently," Mace said as he planted his feet on the ground.
