0.40: Art and Insanity

Miku stepped aside to search for Gaiyato, evading the chaos behind her.

"GAIYATO!" She called out, but there was no response besides her voice echoing back. "You don't disappear for this long, you know?!"

She sat down and caught her breath. "If it was for a surprise, then CLEARLY you are bad at timing…just please come back."

RUSTLE!

"!!!"

Footsteps alerted her as she stood up and scanned the area. "W-who's there?"

Multiple demoniacs surrounded her before she could shriek.

"STAND BACK! I HAVE A BLADE, AND I…don't know how to use it."

They stopped approaching her and glared with puzzlement. Miku pulled it out and swung it around to keep the distance. "GAIYATO, THIS MIGHT BE A GOOD TIME TO SHOW UP!!!"

ROAR!!!

They were angered by her act of hostility and charged towards her.

"GAIYATOOOOO!!!!!!"

~HAKURAA: OBEDIANCE!!

BWOOSH!!

The demoniacs were laid flat before her feet. Miku still held her breath until Gaiyato slowly descended from the sky. "Mmmm…Miku?"

She cried and hugged him but then realized why she was here in the first place. "YOU BASTARD, WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?! I WAS WORRIED SICK THAT YOU LEFT WITHOUT A WORD TO ME!"

"What are you talking about? I was dozing-"

"OH, SO YOU WERE CHEATING ON ME?!"

He held his head and went down to one knee. Miku stopped arguing and helped him regain his balance.

"…Gaiyato, you're shaking."

"I don't remember what happened here…why are the troupes here?" He asked while glancing around.

"The tenth apprehension has already begun, and it seems that Felicia Panthers is the one who engaged in the commotion."

"Felicia…the one part of-" He finally regained sight of what had occurred. "That's right…AZAHII!!!!"

The ground shook from his rage. He summoned a portal and instructed Miku to head back home. "Miku…go back home and activate the barriers."

"Wait, we never activate them…what are you planning Gaiyato?"

"Azahii…stole half of my spiritas; I think that is why my body feels so frail. I need to kill him to get it back; I'm just worried if I can't do it…without that."

Miku jumped out of the portal and held him by the shirt.

"You are NOT doing that again, not after the last time. You remember what the president said?!"

He said nothing and hugged her. "Miku, for nine years, the apprehension has been going on…and he has done nothing to change that. The war ends with me."

She closed her eyes and turned back to the portal. Before Giayato turned his back, she handed him her scarf.

"I made it while thinking about you in the office; please…come back."

Gaiyato smiled, and off he went to the battlefield. 

"Seto…you're dead."

BOOM!!

The Demoniacs destroyed another tank.

"DON'T LET THEM BREECH THE DEFENSE LINE!!"

"PROTECT THE PRESIDENT!!"

Sir Williams could not hold his frustration back about how many troupes were being killed by one ronin.

"Sir!" A soldier reported back.

"Please tell me you've found her weakness!"

"Unfortunately, she found ours, boss. Her claws are turning our men into demoniacs on impact; we can't get a single hit on her while her prowess is still active."

SLASH!!

BOOM!!

"Oh my word, you guys are such a boring bunch!" Felicia said while scratching twelve more soldiers. "Heed my decrees and BARK!!"

WSHH!

Their heads burst into her shard as they followed her orders and roared.

"At this point, she'll have everyone against me…" He fell into a point of panic against Felicia's strength. "We have no choice. Ten quarts captains, you're up!"

"YES, SIR!"

SWOOSH!!

~FIRE PROWESS: FLAMING ROUND!!

BWOOSH!!

Half of Felicia's army fell short of vigorous attack. She jumped above its radius to avoid contact.

~SWORD PROWESS: A THOUSAND DAGGER!!

SLASH!!

A demoniac jumped in her place and got diced to pieces. "TCH!"

CLASH!!

She blocked crystal bullets heading her way, then dived away from the blue fire attack. "Well…this is not looking good." She said.

Before she stood the new hope for the citizens, the 10 quarts captains of apprehension ten.

"Ryo Yakuza, captain of the Blue Moons!" He was dressed in a black armored tuxedo and carried a water sword as his weapon.

"Tamon Ryuji, captain of the Green Guardians!" He had a green-like outfit and orange eyes.

"Braito…Purple Hazel captain…" he was drowsy but kept a murderous glare towards Felicia.

"TANUKI!! RED RANGER CAPTAIN!!" He had white hair, an all-red dress code, and a giant blade on his back.

And the last two captains stood ahead of them all. They had the highest sense of spiritas, with the best rating in their category.

"Lanna Os-Blancos! Captain of the Pink Vipers." She had a spear in hand with crystals floating around her space. The last captain, however, did not intend to introduce himself; he just drew his blade out.

"Oh, I know you!" Felicia smiled. "You grow up so fast…Malcolm of the Blake family."
