76. Bet

Rei stood in front of the door and heard giggles from the other side inside the cooking club. It seemed like the new members were girls. He slightly knocked on the door making the giggles stop. He heard them shushing and footsteps.

The door slowly opened and a tanned girl came into his view. She was a few inches shorter than him and had twin brown ponytails. Her blue eyes completely stood out like the stars in an empty sky. He looked really cute and was very pretty except for the fact that she lacked the main assets.

She exhaled in relief seeing it was only Rei and not a teacher. She then scoffed arrogantly and noticing Rei looking at her and asked, "Who are you and what do you need.?"

"Oh! Sensei asked me to meet you guys in the club. I was a former member of the club."

"We don't need you here. You can go back now." and was about to close the door.

Rei was flabbergasted hearing her rudeness so bluntly and reacted on time stopping the door from closing.

The girl was surprised by his sudden actions and growled at him, "What is your problem?"

"I am gonna have a look inside." and Rei forced himself in, while the girl was still processing what he said.

He was astonished seeing the scene inside. His lovely cooking club was a complete mess. There were chocolate and chicks wrappers around the room on the floor. He saw 2 more girls sitting on the bench holding phones and a couple of mangas on the bench spread around.

One of the girls had a lollipop in her mouth and phone in her hand. She had blond hair with nature defying curves for her age. She had blond, long hair left open and brown eyes to match it. She wore a short skirt than normal showing her enticing thighs.

The other girl was chewing on bubblegum. She was rather small and had multiple earrings on her ears. She had black eyes matching her black small hair. She had visible a tattoo on her hand.

He looked at all this and understood these three never had the intention to cook and used the cooking club as their spot.

"YOU GUYS! GET OUT, OF THE CLUB IF YOU ARE USING IT LIKE THIS." not able to take the condition of the club anymore, Rei lost his cool.

All three of the girls were shocked hearing his roar but the girl with the blond hair did not back down and asked back, "WHO ARE YOU AND WHY ARE YOU IN OUR CLUB. WHAT WE DO HERE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS."

"GET OUT! YOU DON'T EVEN DESERVE TO STAY HERE."

"AS IF YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO TALK. YOU LEFT THE CLUB AND DIDN'T STAY HERE." this time it was the brown-haired one.

"YOU THREE ARE OT EVEN USING THE CLUB FOR ITS PURPOSE WHICH IS FOOD."

"Oh! Stop it even this is food, take it and get out." said the black-haired one in an extremely lazy tone as she waved the bar of chocolate near her.

"You guys do not know what is cooking."

"Oh Ok now stop this. Let us take a bet. As you were in this club for a year according to the advisor, you should be having some skills. Cook something and if it is tasty we will go." not able to take him anymore, the blond challenged Rei.

Rei nodded and went towards the fridge and opened it. He was surprised seeing the once completely filled fridge empty. He searched all the shelves and gathered the available food items he can.

He set them on the counter and noticed he had enough to make one of his favorite Italian snacks, Panino con Mortadella. He liked it was very easy to make and tastes very good.

He started making the dish. He opened the fresh Italian bread he found and kept 2 slices of cheese, ham, basil, and roasted peppers. He topped this off with another round of cheese before closing it with bread. He brushed some oil on the outer layer of the bread and kept it inside the waffle maker the club had. He stood their patiently till the dish gets ready.

The 3 girls closely paid attention to how Rei cooked and were mesmerized by his smooth actions. They saw him search up some ingredients and started cooking a dish with what he found. They saw the sandwich as he kept it inside the waffle maker and were not satisfied.

The waffle maker gave out a sound indicating the time was over. He opened it and saw the slightly golden bread and took it out. He carefully kept it on a plate as fragrance kept on bursting out from it. He saw the cheese melt from the side and slowly cut it open with the knife dividing it into 3 equal pieces. The crispy bread made a delightful sound as he cut it.

He then turned around and kept it on the counter before the anticipated gazes of the three girls. Drool slowly came out of their mouth as they continued to smell the fragrance. They were captivated by the smell as Rei took it out of the waffle maker.

"Go on, eat it." urged Rei seeing them staring at it.

The three subconsciously nodded and slowly reached out for a piece. They slowly brought towards their month and smelled it making their faces get covered by a tinge of red. They slowly took a bite from the sandwich and their body stopped.

They slowly chewed it with their eyes closed savoring the complete taste and gulped it down. Rei felt satisfied by their reaction and immediately knew he had won the bet. The three continued to eat in silence and only the sound of them chewing resonated in the club.

The eventually completed the sandwich and remained with their eyes closed.

"So did you three like it. Oh well even if you tell u didn't your faces told it all."

The three of them wanted to deny it at first but kept quiet as they heard the latter part. Their faces were red from being embarrassed. All three of them stood up and turned around towards the door and wanted to leave the club forever as they promised.

They stopped as they heard Rei, "Where are you guys going now."

It was the brown-haired girl who reacted to his statement, "We are going to leave the club as we promised."

Rei could only laugh as he heard her making all three of them confused. Feeling angry thinking he was humiliating them, gritting her teeth, the black-haired one asked, "Why are you laughing?"

"Oh don't misunderstand. You three don't need to go anywhere. Come and sit down." Rei explained himself waving his hand in denial.

All three of them were confused but still sat back in their previous places.

"I never wanted you three to leave. I just wanted to show you how important this place is for me. Even though I am not here anymore, I still have fond memories I shared with my senpais here. So don't feel bad about me getting angry previously."

All three of them were shocked once again as they heard him. They understood his feelings and felt guilty. The blond hair one was the first to react, she stood up and bowed apologizing to him followed by the other 2.

"It's alright."

The three sat down again hearing his words and exhaled in relief noticing he did not have any hard feelings about earlier.

"You guys don't need to go anywhere. You three can continue staying here but treat the club better. Even the senpais would feel extremely sad if they saw the club in such a state. You guys can even learn how to cook if you want. The advisor of the club is a very good cook too. You can learn from her."

The three were shocked hearing him and the black-haired one asked slowly, "We cook? But we don't know how to cook, in fact, all three of us are terrible at it."

Rei smiled and said, "It's ok, everyone is bad at it in the beginning. You just have to practice and you can even cook like me."

All three of them were happy to hear his encouragement.

"Anyway, My name is Toujou Rei and I am a second year."

"My name is Akamine Momoko, a first-year and this is Ban Miki and Ikeda Yuki all three of us are best friends." said the brown-haired one introducing the blond and black haired girls respectively.

Rei nodded and checked the time. He noticed there were only 20 minutes left and remembered he was yet to eat his lunch.

He stood up and said, "Ok I have to go back now. The break is already over and I should still eat lunch."

All three of them stood up and Miki, the blond girl asked, "Will you come by again Toujou-senpai." and the other 2 also looked at him waiting for his answer.

Rei nodded and went out. Rei did not know that because of him the 3 girls would now change their behavior for the better.
