I don't have the best control over the English language and am not an amazing writer so please bear with the sub par writing. Current schedule: 1-2chp/week (Focusing on my studies as of now) I do not own the illustration, if the artist has any issues regarding it, I will take it down.

THE CONCUBINE WARRIOR

Venus was living comfortably in her new world as the daughter of the noble chieftain. Her world was turned upside down when the King of Wolves announced his intention to abdicate and retire in favor of his heir and only child, the Crown Prince. During the coronation, the king desired to give his son, the new king, women from various noble houses as concubines. Their Chief Scout had received the letter, which her father was now reading. She didn't want to be a concubine to the king. But she was aware that her father was the king's liege, and that he would obey the king's command. Hundreds of beautiful women paraded in front of the new king to be chosen as the high rank concubines. She tried her hardest to appear mediocre and kept her appearance simple yet modest. But, to her dismay, the decision had already been made based on family influence rather than their abilities, intelligence, or even beauty. Her father was the most powerful chieftain of the north, and she was chosen as one of the king's five high ranking concubines. Venus was uninterested in carrying out her responsibilities as one of the king's wives. She will go to any length to avoid the king. She intended to return to her world, the future, but how would she do so? The link between her current world and her original world had already been severed. In her world, she was a pure blood wolf and the best wolf huntress, but here, she's a second rate wolfless among the the wolves. The new king discovers her and realizes she is his mate, but the king has already made the evil witch from the East his queen. She set her up and was exiled to the Northern gate, where the undead wolves attacked the border. The border situation deteriorated, and the king paid a visit to his troops. He came across his exiled wife fighting the enemies and was applauded by all of his warriors. But when the king rejected and exiled her, the love she felt for him turned into hatred and the mate's bond vanished. Venus despised the king for the injustice she had experienced. What will become of them. What if her secret was discovered? That she was altered, with the witch and wolf's genes engineered and interlaced with the brain computer and implanted in her brain. The agency that created her became terrified of the most advanced weapon they had created throughout wolf and human history, which they had embedded in her. They decided to get rid of her. She escaped and entered this wolf's primitive parallel world full of magic.

Since having no reviews can be a turnoff for new readers I felt like I needed to give my honest opinion even if there are barely 9 chapters. Quick summary of the most major issue for lazy readers: "If this novel was a game then we would be just seeing a 10 second clip of when the MC achieves and new save point while missing the journey in between" This novel is "ok" its not exceptional, but it definitely stands above the trash heaps that are 90% of webnovels in writing. Saying that, there are some MAJOR issues that need overcome for this to be considered "great": The Pros: -An intelligent MC (thank God) -MC has ambition and is and anti-hero (no heroic trash, just world domination) -Good writing, though a but janky coming in first person POV -World building has potential, just needs a more detailed power system (e.g. How do people gather mana? What is the difference between demon magic and normal? Is there an element systems? How does mana power manifest in warriors?) Negatives (Will be a big turnoff for many): -Very shallow world background (lack of knowledge of the political and geographical system [This point is a bit moot since the story is still in development, but the plot has progressed enough that it should definitely be there]) -The update speed is miserable, rivaling fanfictions in its frequency -Extreme overuse of Time-skips, the MC has been skipping three or more years per chapter, almost feels like we are receiving tri-annual updates instead of a story -EXTREME Golden spoon of fate; The MC could take a walk in the woods and conveniently stumble upon a heavenly talent who needs saving, who will then swear to be an eternal servant (This has literally happened twice in just 9 chapters💀 [Even if I saved 10 million people I guarantee not a single one would do this]) -Seems to be heavily inspired by "The Eminence in Shadow" just more intentional than Cid (Not necessarily a negative, just needed mentioned) -Complete and utter lack of any obstacles, from the current pace I wouldn't be shocked if the MC completed taking over the world in the next 5~6 chapters and the story ended. -No growth (Extreme OP), from the age of like 10 the MC was just a couple of steps from transcendence, the characters of the world are backwards and undeveloped compared to him, I worry for the Author who will have to somehow a**pull threats in the future for the MC to face. Conclusion: The story has potential, but there isn't enough story in it. This is in no way an attack on the Author, but I believe if you implemented more story and character interactions it would be a lot more enjoyable. Stories like "The Eminence in Shadow" are enjoyable and have a lot of conflict even if the MC is obscenely OP, there should be more focus on "story telling" instead of just development checkpoints. There is so much to write about that could have been told instead of skipping from being at home directly to mid school year at an academy. If this novel was a game then we would be just seeing a 10 second clip of when the MC achieves and new save point while missing the journey in between. I think the Author still has plenty of time to rectify these issues (or rewrite), so I hope they will take this review with a grain of salt instead of being offended.
