The carriage stopped at last, and Ian helped me out of the carriage gentlemanly. The road was lined with thick woods, and in front of me stood a white, domed building. I saw the temple on the top of the hill, its candles burning.
So that was the temple of the Moon Goddess? But when I had asked Ian about the temple that night, he had avoided answering me. Why did Ian bring me here today?
He was a fickle and unpredictable man!
"Let's go!" Ian put an arm around my waist and led me toward the white-domed building. The carriage stopped behind us, and the armored guards split into two groups and stood on either side of the road.
The door of the house was opened, and we walked in. There were four huge circular pillars around the house, and each pillar was engraved with images of werewolves and the moon. The candlestick was placed in the middle, and there were countless burning candles on it.
"You brought her here?" A low female voice came from behind us.
