I stood in the middle of the hotel room in nothing but a sheer robe I had gotten earlier all because of this evening.

My stomach was a pit of nerves as I waited for the guest or more specifically my buyer to arrive. It's been over an hour but he was running late. I hope he didn't decide I wasn't worth the hassle.

I was so scared of what I was about to do and have felt the need to get dressed and run out of this room at least ten times since I arrived but the image of mom on her hospital bed unconscious had me retracting my steps.

"You can do this Evelyn, it's just sex. Mom needs you more than ever" Except it wasn't just sex. I was going to have sex with a stranger for money. I was selling myself.

If mom wasn't so sick, I wouldn't have resulted in selling my body to a stranger to get the money to pay for her hospital bills but there wasn't any other option that would get me the money the doctor had requested in less than a week.

I shook my head and ran my hands through my hair to clear my thoughts before I started pacing the room again. I couldn't afford to start thinking about what I've done now. It's already late to go back now and going back wasn't even an option.

Just as I sat down on the bed, the door opened and the last person I ever expected to be here walked through the door. If he was surprised, Liam didn't show it.

"Liam? What are you doing here?" I asked in shock as I stood from the bed, finding it hard to believe that my best friend's boyfriend was about to sleep with me for money

"I assume you're petals then?" My username falling from his lips was enough to confirm that he was indeed the person I was expecting

Nora was my best friend and Liam was supposed to be her boyfriend and they've been dating for a long time now. Why would he pay to have sex with someone else when he had a girlfriend.

The realization of the situation I was in had me stumbling to the bathroom and shutting the door behind me.

Luckily, my phone was with me so I quickly scrolled through my contact list to find Nora's number so I could give her a call. I couldn't betray my best friend like this. I had to let her know before Liam told her.

The phone rang for a bit before she picked up. I was suddenly sweating and the bathroom became hotter as I thought of what I was about to tell her

"Hello, is everything okay with you? I'm a little bit busy at the moment" Nora answered as soon as she picked up the call. I could tell she was really busy by the loud noises in the background

"Can you move somewhere quiet? There's something I really need to tell you" I pleaded.

"Are you sure everything is okay? You don't sound okay" I heard her move to somewhere quieter because the noise suddenly faded after I heard a door locked

"I'm so sorry Nora. You know I would never betray you right? I didn't mean for this to happen I swear" I was almost on the verge of tears

"Woah, calm down and tell me what's wrong. I don't even know what you're talking about"

"Remember the plan to sell my body for money? Someone I wasn't expecting came to the hotel instead" I cried out.

"Who?"

"Liam. I swear I haven't done anything. I swear I'm in the bathroom right now. I didn't know he would be the one else I wouldn't have come, you have to believe me"

"My Liam?" My heart rate picked up because I didn't even know how she would react to this and I won't blame her if she didn't believe me.

I was expecting her to yell at me or even threaten to come down to where we were but instead she began laughing

"Nora? Why are you laughing? It's not a joke" This reaction scared me more. Who else would laugh when told their partner is about to cheat on them with their best friend

"I know"

"You know it's not a joke? So why are you laughing then?"

"Not that silly, I know Liam is the one you were going to be sleeping with after all it was my plan from the beginning" my eyes almost fell out of their socket in shock

"What are you saying?" I whispered still unable to process what she just said

"I planned everything myself. You needed money and I needed someone to keep Jace company since I wouldn't have been able to make it. I'm so busy at work and it's better you're the one than some strange girl" There was glee in her voice as she spoke as if she was truly satisfied and happy with her plan

"But he's your boyfriend? Why would you arrange such a thing? You shouldn't do that to someone Nora" It was like Nora was someone else. The person I knew wasn't capable of hurting someone like this

"You don't have to worry about anything. Jace and I have been dating for over five years now so we understand each other very well. People tell us we act like a married couple because of how tuned we are to each other. I've been neglecting him for a long time now because of work and I want him to be happy if I'm not around"

"No buts, he'll give you the money you want and I'll get what I want or don't you need the money for your mom anymore? I've told you I'm happy and don't mind so go on."
