ALEXANDER

"We shouldn't always be thinking about profit, take a look at the quality of the product first." Alex stated, playing with the fountain pen he's been holding throughout the meeting with his board members.

"Yes, sir. We shall do that too." Mr. Tom, one of the main board members bowed a little to show just how apologetic he is for what he's done. They always think about profit ahead of quality and that is very very wrong especially in the Santos Empire. Things like that are the least of their concerns, they focus mainly about the best and perfect out there in their company.

"You should. I don't think profit has anything to do with what we are trying to put out for the world. Our equipments should be the best especially when it comes to pharmaceuticals. We are going to either save or wreck lives with one wrong move. Make sure the department isn't working with corrupt head of staff, we can't afford that." Alex nodded his head, thinking through all the things he wants to change in the empire.

"The head of staff there is none other than your friend, Mr. Adam and he is really good with the department so I do not think there is any problem in that aspect." Mr. Tom again answered timidly, being the one that's made the mistake of profit over quality.

"Good. But because he is my friend, I'm not saying you should overlook any fault of his. When it comes to work, I don't trust even myself." He raised a brow, looking so much like the challenging big bad CEO.

There were murmurs amongst the board members at his statement with some asking why the guy is underestimating himself when they all look up to him as their role model. How could they not? His father really is a divine man but that doesn't mean his son is no less than a God. He's doubled the worth of the company when he stepped in in just few months so who if not the God himself?

"Yes, sir." They all chorused.

A message popped up in his phone from his best friend, something he's been looking forward to. "I've got an idea. I'm in your office."

"The meeting is over." He stood up and buttoned his suit then left with his phone in hand while forcing himself to keep his footsteps normal and not hurried.

"What do you have?" He asked the minute he stepped inside the office where his friend is calmly sitting on the couch sipping tentatively at his soda.

Peter gave a charming smile filled with knowledge that is slowly starting to annoy Alex. He shouldn't smile like that when he is there kept in suspense. His father called him again few days ago to tell him just how proud of him he's been because there is no scandal again written in his name but success. The deals he's pulled the past few days, the new ideas he is using to bring up the empire and so on.

"Nothing much." He clicked his tongue, liking the way he is getting under his friend's skin 'cause it's been a while since that happened.

"Peter, if you don't talk it out right this second, I'll punch you so hard that you won't be able to talk for weeks." He threatened in a serious tone as though he would do what he's just said. From his expression, he can do it right now so Peter resigned.

Peter then sat down well, bringing down the relaxed arm that was resting on the chair. "I heard my employees talking about some app or more like I eavesdrop." He winced because he got caught by his personal assistant who wouldn't stop teasing him about it since then.

Alex's brows cleared at that because whatever Peter is going to talk about now, it's going to be interesting. "Okay, do go on."

"So the app is named Galaxy and it's used to bring people from all over the world. It's more like a dating site for people who've been single for forever and are ready to jump into a relationship with someone they don't know. But in your case, we are going to set you up with a normal girl your father and the media will freak out on. She should be beautiful but not a gold digger. She should also be outgoing but not too bold like those models you are always with." Peter explained, removed his phone from his pocket to show him something.

"Wow, you planned all these didn't ya?" Alex sat down beside him, really excited to listen to what his friend is going to further say.

"I did. What are friend for?" Taking Alex's phone from his hand, he downloaded the app for him. "Now we can set out a fake profile for you because if we write your name broadly as Alexander Santos, you're going to attract so much attention from the female population there even if you are not the Alex. So let's get you some cute name."

"Use Xander without any other last name. Only you, my parents and Ivan call me that so they won't notice a thing."

"Roger that!" And then the account is opened for him to use any time he wants but there are some ground rules too.

"Don't forget, she shouldn't be in our circle. Make sure she is pretty so the media won't think you are faking it because it's a known fact that you go after pretty cute girls only. And don't talk to her instantly about what you want to offer for that, trade on the good side and see how she really is before you do that. Many people are desperate these days that you'd be shocked what they'll do." Peter advised like an older brother, hitting Alex's shoulder affectionately.

"I'll do as you say but do you think there are pretty girls here? I mean, why would they join this app if they are pretty?"

"You never know, bruh. It depends on the way her circle is. The ones in our circle would never join something like this, you know it."
