Chapter One: A New Beginning

Kenji Nagasaki had always considered himself an average guy. He lived a normal life, worked a regular job, and had simple pleasures. His greatest joy was indulging in anime, especially "My Hero Academia." Little did he know, his ordinary existence was about to take an extraordinary turn.

One fateful evening, as Kenji walked home, he noticed a small cat stranded in the middle of the road. Without hesitation, he dashed forward, scooping up the terrified feline just as the glaring headlights of an oncoming truck bore down on him. Time seemed to slow, and in that instant, he understood what was coming.

The next moment, Kenji found himself standing in a vast, ethereal expanse, a serene figure before him. The figure exuded an aura of calm and power, a presence Kenji instinctively knew was divine.

"Welcome, Kenji Nagasaki," the figure spoke, his voice gentle yet commanding. "You have shown great selflessness and courage. For that, I offer you a chance at a new life, with three wishes of your choosing."

Kenji blinked, struggling to process the surreal situation. "I… I get three wishes?" he stammered. "And I can ask for anything?"

The divine figure nodded. "Within reason, yes."

Kenji's mind raced. This was like something out of his favorite isekai anime. "I wish to be reborn in the world of My Hero Academia, at the same time as the original cast, with all my memories intact!"

The figure smiled. "Granted. However, you must never disclose your origin as a reincarnated being from another universe."

Kenji nodded eagerly. "Understood! For my second wish, I want a system to help me grow and get stronger!"

The figure's smile faded slightly. "I'm afraid I cannot grant you a system. It disrupts the balance of the world. However, I can offer you a status window. It will allow you to see your own skills and quirks, as well as those of others."

Kenji felt a pang of disappointment but quickly brushed it aside. "A status window it is. For my third wish…" He paused, thinking carefully. "I wish for a quirk that allows me to copy any animal's special abilities or skills."

The figure sighed deeply. "Very well, but with conditions. Your quirk will not manifest until the canonical events of the show begin. You can copy abilities from only one animal per month, and you must wait 30 days before copying again. Copying from the same animal requires a three-month interval. However, I will allow you to copy abilities from three different animals each time your ability activates."

Kenji's eyes lit up with excitement. "That's perfect! Thank you!"

The figure extended a hand. "Good luck, Kenji Nagasaki. Your new life begins now."

Kenji awoke with a start, the blaring sound of an alarm clock pulling him from a deep sleep. As he groggily rubbed his eyes, he realized he was in a small, unfamiliar room. He glanced around, noticing the various posters of heroes plastered on the walls. His heart skipped a beat as he recognized All Might, Endeavor, and other familiar faces from his favorite anime.

"I'm really here," he whispered, a grin spreading across his face.

His memories were intact, just as he wished. Kenji Nagasaki was now a part of the world he had always dreamed of, a world of heroes and quirks. But this was no mere fantasy. It was his new reality, with all the challenges and dangers that came with it.

He quickly got ready for his first day at Aldera Junior High School, eager to meet Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and the other characters he admired. As he walked to school, he couldn't help but marvel at the bustling city around him, filled with people using their quirks in everyday life.

During class, Kenji kept a low profile, observing his classmates and the familiar dynamics from the show. He knew he had to wait for the canonical events to begin before he could use his quirk, but that didn't dampen his excitement. He had a status window to explore, and the anticipation of his future abilities filled him with determination.

Later that day, as he lay in bed, Kenji focused on his status window, eager to see what it entailed. A transparent screen appeared before his eyes, displaying his name, age, and a blank space where his quirk would eventually be listed.

"This is just the beginning," he thought, clenching his fist. "I'll become a hero, just like them."
