MOVIE NIGHT
CHAPTER THIRTY TWO
"So what is the next date going to be?" asked Ralph.
"A movie night"
"A movie night?" asked Ralph.
"Yes, it means that for the whole night, we do nothing but watch movies. Anyone who sleeps before the other would do anything the other asks" narrated Karen.
"Fine by me! Anything special we need to get?" asked Ralph.
"Not really, I'll just select the perfect movie for the movie and all you need to do is get some already prepared ginger bread cookies, the biggest blanket this mansion can offer and I think that is pretty much all we need"
"Alright!" said Ralph before going downstairs to do as Her Royal Fabulousness had ordered.
He was seen marching up the stairs to his bedroom some seconds later with a box of ginger bread cookies at hand.
Immediately he entered his room, Karen screamed. There was a bug on the floor and she was balled up at one corner of the bed.
Ralph walked in and squashed the bug before dropping the box of cookies on the table and heading towards Karen who had her hand over her head.
"Karen!" he called as he reached out to her but she shrieked and pushed him away. When she realized who it was, she threw herself at him and Ralph encompassed her in a soul crushing hug.
"You are safe now my love! You are totally safe!" said Ralph as he patted her head and tried to calm her visibly shaking body.
Someone was going to earn some firing today!
When Karen calmed down, Ralph asked her if she was still up for a movie.
"I sure am, I was just…I just got scared that's all. Forgive my poor manners Ralph!" said Karen
"Your manners are not poor in the least my love, the blame is on whoever cleaned this room this morning. The person was not thorough!" said Ralph.
"But, how long am I going to be like this Ralph?" asked Karen.
"How freaking long am I going to keep getting scared over little things like this? What about when you are not by my side?" yelled Karen at no one in particular.
"That's never going to happen pequeño. I swear on my life that I am never going to let you out of my sight!" said Ralph and Karen buried her head in his chest and hugged him tighter.
She was the one that needed to make that promise to herself but she knew she could not. She would have to leave him when the fourteen dates are over. This is the right thing to do, for her pack and for her father, her true Alpha. But how could she, when she was already in love with this man who has shown her nothing but pure love, the man who had protected her even from himself.
Any day she tried to over look her father's death and focus on the present - what she had with Ralph, that night, she was bound to have a terrific night mare.
The other day, she had dreamt of her father dying all over again and this time around he didn't call the Supreme Alpha when he was about to die, he said, "the Supreme Luna, for she has made a wicked alliance!".
After reciting her plans in her mind, she cleaned her face and told Ralph she was ready for the movie.
Ralph was worried about his mate but he did not know he should be more worried about himself because his mate was about to leave him - at the peak of their love, at the zenith of their desires, she would vanish like she never was present.
"So what movie do you have in mind for our tenth date?" asked Ralph as he sat by her side on the bed as they rested their backs on the head rest.
"A Common Place!" announced Karen.
The movie is about a messenger who gets married before going on an important assignment. The night of his wedding, he spends a very amazing night with his wife whom he loves so much and then before the first crowing of the cock, he was riding to deliver an important message for the king. He spends a year and four months on this journey and when he comes back, the king has taken his wife as one of his concubines. He tries to get her back but he is faced with numerous obstacles from the king and his army but the major and last obstacle he faces is from his wife. She holds a deep grudge against him and marries him to kill him but after fights and revelation of truths, his wife finds out that she has been wrong all along. The movie ends with the both of them forgiving each other and holding a proper wedding.
"Do you think if this was reality, the man would have been able to forgive the woman?" asked Karen.
"It depends on the kind of man involved in such a situation. Many men won't forgive but some would"
"If it was you, would you be part of the many or the few?" asked Karen.
"Let's see, as much as I love some one who is very open and might be hurt if it is someone I love, I think I would be part of the few. If you were the woman, would you have accepted the offer of the king and would you not have told your husband the grudge you hold against him?" asked Ralph.
"I don't know! Guess we would never know because such a thing would never happen!" said Karen.
"A diplomatic answer but I guess that is the truth because what king would you go to? There are no kings in our realm!" said Ralph with mirth in his voice and Karen laughed.
"What's the next movie going to be?" asked Ralph.
"Last moment!" replied Karen.
"I have a request to make!" said Karen as she changed the movie.
"What is it?" asked Ralph.
"The next date tomorrow, can it be a sight viewing?" asked Karen
"Definitely! If that is your wish"
"Thanks Ralph"
