82: The consequence of using soul arts

After she was done with soldiers Rimuru used her universal sense to find out where the last guy teleported. And in less than a second she found him running in the woods.

Earlier when she was massacring those soldiers she took a peek at some of their memories to find out the ins and outs of this situation. And that's when she found out that that guy who ran away was the person who harmed Veldanava and Lucia the most. Her aura almost went berserk when she saw him holding a dagger at Milim's neck.

So she decided to take special care of him. And from what she found out that guy seemed a bit like Claymen . That is why when she sensed him using a teleportation artefact she didn't stop him. She wanted to make him suffer. So what good way is there other than terrifying him every second and just when he was about to get to safety she would crush him, making him on the brink of despair.

Thinking so, Rimuru walked towards where Ravan was. While walking she thought of trying something new. She readied her weapon and swung it in an arc. And a flying sword slash was launched towards the location Ravan was.

After that she continues to launch sword slashes every 5 minutes. While attacking Rimuru made sure to avoid injuring Ravan. She wanted him to have a false hope of surviving this.

On Ravan's side was a complete mess. Although he knew that escaping from that nightmare wasn't easy, but he never thought that he would have to dodge flying sword attacks every five minutes. These attacks come at random directions that it is impossible to predict them beforehand.

And so Ravan tried his best to evade them. Thankfully he was able to barely avoid all of them despite gaining some injuries. But unfortunately his whole body was covered in numerous sword wounds. His armour was long destroyed and his clothes were shred to pieces in some places. Had it not been the blood that is covering his whole body he would be considered a beggar had he entered the capital looking like that.

Just as he was about to sigh in relief for surviving. He began to hear footsteps. They were not very loud but due to the ominously calm woods Ravan could hear them clearly.

Turning around he saw the nightmare he wished so much to evade walking towards his direction. On her hand was the familiar sword that is still dripping blood from its earlier victims.

Ravan felt his strength leave his legs as he fell down on his butt. His eyes filled with terror as he desperately tried to crawl away from the abominations.

" STOP STOP PLEASE I BEG OF YOU , PLEASE SPARE MY LIFE OH MIGHTY STORM DRAGON " Ravan said with desperation.

Hearing his words Rimuru paused for a moment. She was puzzled as to why this guy confused her with Veldora. Normally she would find out the reason but now she didn't care too much. She just wanted to get this over with.

So she just raised her sword and said indifferently, " I am not the storm dragon . My title is the Void Empress. And now get ready to pay for your crimes oh the greatest talent in the empire"

With a swift movement she decapitated his head from his body. And while swinging her sword Rimuru used <Thought Acceleration> on him while also applying a bit of turn null energy to destroy his body in the most painful way.

Ravan couldn't even scream as the pain overloaded his mind. The only reason he didn't faint from the pain is because his body was covered in turn null energy and it kept destroying it. And in less than 3 seconds Ravan was gone from this world.

Rimuru heaved a huge sigh as she completed her hunt. Although her mind at that time was filled with revenge she still felt bad for what she did to them. But even if she felt bad for them she wouldn't bring them back to life.

Leaving another sigh she turned back and started walking back towards where her brother and his family are currently being healed. The only reason she went away to take ger revenge is because Ciel is there. If it was something even Ciel could't heal then not even she could do it.

Arriving at the place she saw that a crowd had gathered there. Veldora, Velgrynd , Velzard and even Ivaragé were there. They too must have felt the connection they had with Veldanava almost break. And apart from them the people who were with her in the restaurant are also here. They must have come when she was in on her massacre.

Velgrynd and Velzard, seeing her presence, ran towards her and hugged her while crying. Especially Velgrynd, she was nearest to them but she was still late. Had Rimuru been more late they wouldn't even be able to see their brother again.

After comforting her sisters Rimuru went inside the small barrier. Inside Ciel was there with a serious expression. She was continuously supplying energy to both Lucia and Veldanava who are unconscious. Rimuru frowned at this. Ciel shouldn't take this much healing them.

Getting a bad feeling she rushed and examined them herself. And the results made her face ugly. Their souls were barely there. Especially Veldanava's soul. They have been so weakened that had it not for Ciel's continuous healing they would die immediately.

Rimuru clicked her tongue as she realised what they had done. They must have overused the soul techniques without any restraint. Since soul arts utilise the soul you must have precise control over your soul or else you would overuse the soul and weaken it in the process.

" You damn couple, how reckless can you two get? " Rimuru shouted in anger. She then turned to Ciel and asked, " Ciel do you have any solutions for this, "

Ciel looked at her master and hesitantly said, " master the wisest option would be to let them recover their soul energy by sacrificing souls. But due to both of them being higher life forms the number of souls needed to restore them is over 100 billion which is 90% total population. "

Rimuru shook her head hearing that " That wouldn't work. Even if I harden my heart to do it big brother would stop me. He would never let his creations be destroyed because of him.

Ciel can't I replace the necessary energy needed with my magicules. I'm sure my Turn Null energy capacity is enough "

Ciel shook her head , "Negative Master Turn Null would only do harm towards Veldanava and Lucia at this point. The only solution I recommend is letting them rest in the imaginary space where they will gradually heal themselves. "

" But for how long will they even have to wait? Soul recovery would take hundreds if not thousands of years. Isn't this the same as going into a coma? " Rimuru said, clearly distressed.

" Forgive me Master, I'm unable to give a way better solution for you, " Ciel said regretfully. She hated when she couldn't fulfil her master's wishes.

Rimuru seeing Ciel like this had to forcibly calm down her mind. Heaving a sigh she said to Ciel , " Don't worry Ciel I don't blame you for this. You are clearly trying your best. Hey look on the bright side at least we know we can keep them alive "

Ciel just nodded her words. Although Rimuru's comforting words managed to lift her mood a bit she still felt herself being useless. She didn't want to be useless again. So used her analytical powers to the max to find a better solution.

Rimuru noticed Ciel's movements. Although she was puzzled as to why Ciel wanted to run another round of analysis she didn't stop her. A part of her even cheered for Ciel to find another solution.

After a few minutes Ciel said, "Master, although I am unable to completely heal them I found a way to temporarily let them regain consciousness. "

Hearing this Rimuru was instantly happy. Although this may not be much. Talking to her brother one last time is good results she is willing to take. And so Rimuru agreed to what Ciel wanted to do.

Ciel nodded and took a million souls from the imaginary space. She then began to dissolve them into soul energy. Then she began to pour this soul energy towards Lucia's and Veldanava's weakened souls to stimulate and heal them.

This process had to be done very carefully as Ciel had to match the exact soul energy's quality to that of Veldanava's and Luca's souls. Otherwise more problems would arise which might even kill them both.

Finally after a tiring half an hour the operation was over. Despite the million souls that were used in the process, Ciel only managed to heal at least 12 % of Lucia's soul and 1. 453% of Veldanava's soul. And that much result is after Ciel' s excellent control over soul energy with no losses.

From this one could imagine how serious it is to heal a soul. But Rimuru and Ciel didn't care about the percentage. They just watched eagerly as Veldanava and Lucia made signs of waking up.
