Synopsis

"Join me on my journey through the multiverse, from the nightmares of Raccoon City in Resident Evil to confronting the mutated mitochondria in Parasite Eve, avoiding becoming dinosaur food in Dino Crisis, and navigating the dark corridors of Silent Hill. As you explore a world that is a fusion of horrors, you will need to solve puzzles, confront monstrous creatures, and make decisions that will challenge your moral values. To clarify, I received some assistance from ChatGPT to create this story. It will serve as a means to practice my English, which is at a very basic level, and to improve my grammar. Please bear with me as I continue to learn."

Chapter 1Dino crisis: Chapter 1 (Rewrite)

–City Town, American Continent, Hidden Dreams Hotel–

In the dark hotel room, a soft flickering light—like the wandering glow of a firefly—cast the shadow of a young man. The only visible feature on his face was a chiseled jawline, shaped by the discipline of someone who trained without rest.

"So, why are you calling me at this hour?" the figure asked in a sleepy voice.

"A new request has come in," responded a mechanical voice. A solitary island in the middle of the ocean appeared on the screen.

"On Ibis Island, it's believed that Dr. Kirk, who was thought to be dead, has continued his research on Third Energy."

The projection shifted, revealing an image of a blond man in a lab coat. His calm expression barely masked a flicker of restrained madness.

"The client has requested that this data be recovered," the voice continued. "I've created a scientist identity for you. It's up to you when to sneak in."

With those words, the projected light abruptly shut off, signaling that the other party had disconnected.

"Ibis Island?" the figure repeated quietly, tasting the name as if trying to recall where he had heard it.

"Isn't that the island where the events of Dino Crisis take place?" he murmured tiredly.

"I've been reincarnated into a seriously dangerous world… Well, I'll think about it in the morning. I need to rest."

Ending the internal conversation, he threw himself onto the cotton bed, so soft that anyone would surrender to the pleasure of a nap.

–S.O.R.T–

A federal organization, independent from TRAT (a military division), operates with a clear objective: to handle matters the military cannot address directly. Its usual missions include espionage, sabotage, and so-called "irregular" activities within various government agencies. It's also responsible for silencing anyone attempting to leak classified information about TRAT.

In a facility completely isolated from civilization, a message suddenly appeared on the computer of the director of the Special Espionage and Data Recovery division.

"Tom?" the captain whispered upon seeing the sender's name. He frowned, intrigued; it hadn't been long since his undercover agent had sent the first report.

"Something must have happened…" he muttered as he opened the file.

Immediately, his agent's face appeared on screen. Tom looked disheveled, his eyes reflected a mix of caution and fear, and his heavy breathing suggested he had just been running or was under extreme stress only moments earlier.

"Report number 002."

"I haven't found any evidence of a weapon capable of shifting the global balance… but I have uncovered something critically important. Dr. Kirk, who was presumed dead in the accident three years ago, is alive. He is currently conducting experiments involving what's known as 'Third Energy.'"

Tom's throat went dry from speaking so quickly and without pause. He took a moment to catch his breath and drank from a water bottle. It was obvious—his hands were trembling.

"Dr. Kirk is in the final stages of his trials. It's believed he'll soon succeed with his experiment… but something strange is happening, Captain. Third Energy has the power to open portals, and through them, creatures have emerged. I believe they are dinosaurs."

"Over a hundred scientists have already been killed, but that hasn't stopped Dr. Kirk. He keeps going as if nothing happened… At this rate, something's going to go horribly wrong. I can feel it."

"I strongly recommend immediate action!"

With a soft beep, the report ended. Reflected on the screen was the director's face—his furrowed brow deepened the lines on his weathered expression. The report sounded absurd… but he wasn't skeptical. He knew his agent well. Tom would never joke about something this serious, especially if it involved Kirk.

"That crazy bastard…" he muttered through clenched teeth, as the arrogant face of the scientist formed vividly in his mind.

He had warned them. He had told S.O.R.T's high command plainly: Kirk needed to be watched twenty-four hours a day.

And what did he get in return? A reprimand and a formal warning not to interfere with, as they called him, "one of the brightest minds of the century."

And now, three years after his "supposed death", Kirk was not only alive, he had continued his experiments, more bizarre than ever. The captain understood the need to find a new source of energy... but Kirk had taken his research to the limit.

A damn city exploded because of his experiment. Over two hundred thousand people died in that tragic accident.

He ran a hand through his beard as he weighed the information. Now that he thought about it carefully, the idea of a portal opening didn't seem so far-fetched. The true reach of Third Energy was still unknown.

But if it had been capable of wiping an entire city off the map, it was logical to assume the energy levels could reach such extremes that they distorted the very fabric of space-time... enough to tear open a rift, a portal, to who knows where.

With a tired sigh, he got up from his chair and picked up the specialized cell phone used to contact the higher-ups. After pressing a single button, the line connected instantly.

That night, the guards on duty heard a roar of frustration coming from the captain's office. Whatever he discussed with command clearly pushed him to one of his worst fits of rage.

A few hours later, Gail, one of the most respected team captains thanks to his spotless mission record, met with the director in his office. No one knew what was said during that meeting, but the gossip among the recruits was that they saw Gail's team board a helicopter just hours afterward.

–South Sea, Republic of Borginia–

A ship sailed calmly across the sea. In the distance, a towering island rose on the horizon, surrounded by a shroud of mist and topped with lush vegetation that covered almost every inch. It was, without a doubt, the perfect place to hide a secret military facility, remote, inaccessible, and buried under dense tropical jungle.

Its location, far from trade routes and civilian presence, made it a strategic point. A place where no secret escaped… or at least, that's what the Borginian government believed.

"We'll arrive in an hour," said a soldier to the scientist standing on deck, gazing at the distant island.

"All right. I'm looking forward to working in those facilities," replied the scientist with a bright smile. His scholarly demeanor lowered the soldiers' guard, after all, what harm could a scientist pose to a heavily armed installation?

Besides, according to intelligence reports, this scientist had no background in anything other than mechanical engineering. In fact, he was said to be one of the best in his field. However, his license had been revoked by the United States government due to alleged "misuse of knowledge."

Nonsense! It was the same kind of slander they used on Dr. Kirk. The Borginian government was fortunate to have made contact with this scientist, who would now help them develop otherworldly military weapons with his research. And now, their government had sunk its teeth into another brilliant mind.

"Rest assured, Dr. Axel, the Borginian government will support you," said the soldier with overflowing enthusiasm.

"Yes... I know you will," Axel replied as he turned and smiled at the soldier.

"You'll help me a great deal," he muttered under his breath, eyes returning to the view of Ibis Island.
