Steins;Gate— The Singularity

Ruka Urushibara, that's my name. Today is New Years Eve but I never expected this day to be more extraordinary than usual. I remembered the memories of my past life and how this world is from an anime. "Why do I have to be a trap though?"

{ A/N: Thank you all for your support! Also thanks for those who gave power stones to this fanfic, I hope my chapters were enough to compensate your support. I'm writing this from my memory so every sentence may not be exactly the same but they had the essence.

Now, without further ado, let's continue the story! }

====================================

"Why didn't you say earlier? When did it happen?" Kurisu asked Daru.

"Umm... it happened yesterday noon. I think it was during the reverse spin test—"

"So your phone was plugged to the Phone Microwave when I sent that mail yesterday?" Okabe cut him off but Daru expressed his doubts.

"About Makise Kurisu being stabbed? That was last week right?"

"No that's impossible! I clearly sent it yesterday! Where is it? It's here I swear!" Okabe took his phone out and searched for the mail he sent but he can't find it on his phone no matter what.

"Let's just reenact what happened yesterday." Kurisu said.

"Do we really have to put contents in?" Daru said.

"I wanna see what would happen to its contents when mails were sent." Okabe replied.

"Done! Now, who's gonna send the mail?" Daru said.

"I give you the honor to send the first experimental mail, assistant." Okabe said in a voice filled with magnanimity.

"Since when did I become your assistant? I have no phone on me, you can send the message Daru-san." Kurisu said.

"Ok! What would be the mail?" Daru asked.

"I think 'Kurisu is a pervert' is fine." Okabe said with a straight face.

"Didn't I say that pervert is off limits?" Kurisu deadpanned at him.

"Ok, we'll split the differences and write, 'O-ka-be-Is-A-Per-vert.' Done." Daru didn't go with Okabe's suggestion and he modified the sentence.

"Daru-san! Good job!" Kurisu sent him a thumbs up approval.

"Let's start." Okabe said.

Daru started the Phone Microwave and it started to spin in reverse. Daru then waited for a few seconds before sending the mail. But then at this time, something they didn't expect happened.

"I think it is ok now." Mayuri suddenly opened the Phone Microwave and it started emitting electricity.

"Duck!" Okabe took Mayuri in his arms and ducked while the others also braced for an explosion.

The Phone Microwave emitted something and split the table in half. Smoke covered the entire room before Daru opened the windows and the fan.

At this moment, Okabe took his phone from the Phone Microwave and looked at his mailbox. To his surprise, it was there! It was sent a week to the past!

With a look of realization, he started laughing madly as he thought of the Phone Microwave's ability.

"Hahahahaha! Now I know! The banana that was separated from the bunch came back! And the mail went back a week to the past! This! This is a time machine!"

Kurisu had a look of disbelief on her face when she heard Okabe's words.

"That's impo—"

"Makise Kurisu, Okabe Rintarou."

The two suddenly looked at Ruka who had an extremely serious face looking at them.

"Don't run Kurisu. A true loser is somebody who is so afraid of something, they don't even try."

Kurisu was shocked at Ruka's words. How did he guess that she was planning on running away from here? He said it earlier too.

"I have to talk to you two, in private. Follow me." Ruka then went out of the lab.

The two didn't know what to do. They looked at each other and decided to just wing it. Kurisu was wondering how he guessed her thoughts while Okabe just wants to hear what his disciple wants to say.

~" . . . "~

The awkward atmosphere between the two was apparent even to other people walking in the streets of Akihabara. They were currently following Ruka Urushibara and they do not know anything about where they were going. Fortunately, Kurisu decided to break this awkward atmosphere.

"Where do you think we're going?" Kurisu asked.

"I don't know where. I think he's guiding us to the nearest base of the Organization." Okabe said solemnly.

Kurisu was speechless at his words and just decided to not ask him anymore. Silence once again ensued for a few seconds as they followed Ruka. This made the scene awkward again but this did not last long as they arrived at their destination.

"Where is this Rukako?" Okabe asked as he looked towards the house while Ruka was opening the gate.

"It's my house." Ruka answered his question plainly.

This answer came as a shock to him as he know that Ruka was living with his parents near the shrine and this is nowhere near the shrine.

"Come in." Ruka said as he went inside the house.

The two walked inside and saw that the house had fairly simple design. They continued to walk before they arrived to what they assumed to be Ruka's room.

They entered and Ruka gestured for them to sit anywhere, be it on the bed or the floor, while he went to the closet.

"This is a fairly simple room, it's almost empty with no decorations here." Kurisu said.

"Hehehe, this is not my real room anyway." Ruka chuckled.

"What do you mean?" Okabe asked.

Suddenly, they heard a mechanical snap and sounds of a door being opened. They looked towards Ruka and were shocked to see him inside the closet gesturing for them to come to him with a door behind him.

"Follow me." Ruka then went down without waiting for them. Leaving them there in their shock.

Okabe took out his phone and began to talk, "It's me... yes. I didn't expect another agent to be sent to support me... I said I can do it myself... haaaa.... okay, if that's the case. El Psy Kongroo."

"A secret room, huh?" Kurisu did not put her attention on Okabe's shenanigans and just went straight to the door. "You coming? Pervert."

"You— I'll punish you later, Christina!"

" '-tina' janai!!" (Translation: There's no '-tina')

They went down the stairs and followed Ruka. Before long, they caught up to him and saw him entering a passcode on the door.

"Oh, you're here! Just in time." The door then opened to reveal a wide futuristic room.

"Welcome to my house! Or should I say my secret base?" Ruka said with a toothy grin as he went inside and sat on the couch.

Okabe looked at the place and asked, "When did you—?"

"Oh, this place? This place was made the same time the Future Gadget Lab was founded."

"Now let's talk about why you two are here, shall we?" Ruka gestured for them to take a seat on the couches the other side of him with a smile.
