After shaking his dizzy head, Jiang Chen felt his mind clearing up.

A hundred years have passed. Jiang Chen, "The Greatest Saint" was supposed to transmigrate into this body. Instead, an aspiring fan-fic writer has taken his place.

"Damn, who is writing this fan-fic. Better give me an awesome cheat or else, I will begin writing a F***d up fanfic and isekai every earthling to hell."

Jiang Chen found himself in a dark, broken room. There were cracks all over the walls, and the door was tightly shut. He was probably imprisoned. His body ached all over.

Jiang Chen could hear two people talking on the other side of the door.

"Brother Yong, he's the mayor's only son. The mayor loves him very much, even though he is useless. If the mayor finds out about this, we will be doomed!"

Bla~ Bla~ Bla~

Jiang Chen knew what they were talking about. He had just reread the first chapter of the story. Two cannon fodder characters were Jiang Chen's brother, Jiang Ru Long's goons. 

He has been fed the cleansing medicine that needs three days to turn his blood into a medicine fit for human consumption, but he was already feeling weak from the side effects.

The conversation between the two alarmed Jiang Chen, who had recently transmigrated into this world.

A weak smile emerged on his face. Eldest Brother's goons were a piece of cake for "The Greatest Saint of the World, Jiang Chen" but he is not.

The smile grew into indifference and then worry. Jiang Chen did not remember the story much except for some plot about female leads in this lower world and the Greatest Saint's rival some Nangong-guy. 

Yesterday, he wanted to begin writing a self-insert fanfic about DMWG, as he felt bored reading other people's works. He had just reread the first chapter again after a very long time. Excited that his Jiang Chen would not be the Greatest Saint but a normal guy, He dozed off thinking of a suitable cheat.

Jiang Chen transmigrated into a long-forgotten story. With no memories of the previous Jiang Chen and in a crazy unknown cultivation world, he can only pray that he receives a comfortable cheat.

Jiang Chen felt energized when he heard the sound of his cheat's arrival. A panel popped before him.

Jiang Chen became excited. Every transmigrator could turn misfortune into fortune with cheat, and his chance had come.

He read and re-read his status, and was dumbfounded.

Jiang Chen felt as if cold water was poured all over him. He was a little scared now.

He could not make heads or tails of what this status represented. He knew the cheat but at the same time, he did not. He was a sitting duck, ready to be slaughtered.

Hours passed as Jiang Chen kept thinking. The two outside did not come in but Jiang Chen would hear them now and then. They were far stronger than him. 

As he recalled small tidbits of memory from the original Jiang Chen, he was sure that without gaining a crazy power-up from the cheat, it was absolutely impossible to escape.

He kept his eye on the panel before his eyes.

As time passed nothing changed on the panel, but Jiang Chen felt sore all over his body.

'I don't have any cheat like the Dragon-Marked Cultivation technique. Original Jiang Chen was a know-it-all and was always strong enough to deal with anything. The author really liked that plot armour.'

Jiang Chen thought of how much he cursed the authors of immortal returning novels for creating these know-it-all characters. Now, he wished that he would not have thought of replacing himself with the Greatest Saint. 

'Maybe, I should have started the story like War Sovereign Soaring Through the Heavens, where the main character replaces the emperor who recently possesses a new body and becomes OP with old man's memories.'

"Damn, This panel is useless," Jiang Chen sighed.

He could do nothing. He was losing the strength in his body as the medicine began its work. 

He began fiddling through his clothes to find something that could help him but his pockets were empty.

He was wearing a chinese attire, like the characters in a manhwa with no rings or accessories. The robe was held by a belt that looked quite unique.

Jiang Chen was already very tensed and even the smallest thing seemed to excite him.

The belt was a broad ribbon held in place by a complex knot over a ring. The bangle-sized ring was very simple but the clip on its edge caught Jiang Chen's interest.

"Doesn't this resemble Rafa's Raging Bull?"

The simple clip design seemed to mean something to Jiang Chen. As an avid fan of The Emperor of Roland Garros, Rafael Nadal, Jiang Chen's favourite logo was "The Raging Bull". The semblance of a buckle-clip came as a stress reliever to Jiang Chen, distracting him from his dire situation.

As time passed, his senses began to dull. At some point, he stopped thinking of escaping and like a kid, began playing with the ring.

He wore it like a bangle and like a kid would jump up to get a superpower, he pumped his fist in air when a miracle happened for Jiang Chen.

And Jiang Chen went blank for a second.

He remembered this cheat. It was something he prepared for another story. 

Jiang Chen fiddled with the panel and in a second, his body felt re-energised.

He stood before the door trapping him and -

Booooooom~

A single punch shattered the door locking him in. 

Outside the door, the two merry mob characters just stood shell-shocked.

"Will you die or f*** off?" Jiang Chen stood before the two with utter disregard.

The two goons immediately came to their senses, and attacked.

The next second, both flew back and landed a few metres back leaving a long trail on the ground.

"Well, Let's just say, Times up for this dog-eat-dog world and its silly arrogant characters."

Jiang Chen did not check whether the two were dead or alive and walked away, knowing that he had officially become a part of the endless fight club promised by the DMWG world.

"Fish! What a messy world~"

The last thing, the goons saw, was Jiang Chen walking away, with a bangle glowing brilliant blue on his wrist.
