Chapter 24 The Upcoming crisis for food stocks

Inside Schicksal HQ, a blond-haired guy sat in a chair, gazing at a huge monitor.

"Amber," the blond-haired guy looked at the girl, his assistant, who bore a resemblance to Kallen. "Aron Laserna turned out to be more interesting than I thought. I wouldn't even know that he retrieved the data of that place if I hadn't been watching them from afar."

Otto wondered how Aron had retrieved Kallen's data, and now even its copy was gone.

"Master Otto," Amber said, looking at her master, sending him the data about Aron.

"Name: Aron Laserna, a B-rank Valkyrie who will soon become an A-rank. Teammate: Seele Vollerei, a B-rank Valkyrie who will become an A-rank as well," Otto said, reading Aron and Seele's data. His eyes showed his interest in the two.

Amber was surprised as she read the data with an image of Aron and Seele coming out of a portal. "It is concluded that Aron Laserna came from another bubble universe, as he appeared after similar energy to the quantum fracture showed up in Nagazora."

"Nagazora," Otto muttered, knowing there were many bubble universes, but none of them contained his beloved.

He had watched countless bubble universes to see the fate of his beloved, witnessing her death multiple times with either a similar fate or a twist.

"What do you think about him?" Otto asked, as he had deduced that he would send Aron on a mission to fix the quantum fracture around the world.

Amber's expression turned serious upon hearing her master's question. "Aron Laserna is a strong and mysterious individual. He possesses a mysterious ability to call that stretchable weapon he calls a 'slime ball.'"

Hearing her explanation, Otto nodded and said, "Aron Laserna, Seele Vollerei, Shiina Mahiru, and Durandal. They are among the few people who have resistance against quantum energy." A glint of determination appeared in his eyes as he began to plan.

"We should let them form a team as a practice for their teamwork. We will send them to the Philippines," Otto said to Amber, who agreed.

"But why the Philippines?" She asked, not understanding the reason.

However, after investigating, she soon discovered the reason behind the choice.

"Soon, a Honkai outbreak will devastate the entire city of Manila. It is strong enough to compare with the outbreak that occurred in Nagazora," Otto explained, taking a sip of the wine he held.

Amber nodded in agreement, as she knew the ranks of the two students and their strength. Adding Durandal and Mahiru, who had been trained by Durandal, to the mix, even a Herrscher would stand little chance against them. With Aron and Seele wielding their mysterious powers, fighting a Herrscher would become child's play.

It had been a week since the trio left the virtual world from which Kallen had come. Bronya and Aron had locked themselves inside a room, and Seele, who occasionally visited them, knew what they were up to.

However, for the others, they were unaware of what was happening behind that closed door, except for Himeko, who had a habit of barging in without a care, often teasing Aron.

Aron and Bronya looked at Kallen's new body lying in the bed without any clothes.

"Finally, we've finished creating a body for her," Aron said, stretching his hand. Although he could have asked Raphael to create a body for Kallen using his Zanpakuto, he decided against it because he didn't want to rely too much on his skill, even though it was important.

In the end, despite having Bronya's help, it would took them a year or more to create a body for Kallen. So, he decided to use his Zanpakuto. However, it was an exact copy of Kiana's body with Kallen's appearance.

But here's the catch, he discovered that Kiana's blood had a significant adaptability to Honkai energy and the ability to transform into its beast form with natural control over ice.

"Subject Kallen?" Bronya called out to the girl who was busy inspecting her new body. "How do you feel?"

"I feel it's natural," Kallen answered, doing random things, ignoring that she wasn't wearing anything. "I feel like this is my body."

Aron, who was looking intently at her breasts that were jiggling, looked at her face and asked, "You don't feel any discomfort, unease, or lagging in your perception?"

"Now that you ask?" Kallen muttered loud enough for them to hear. "I feel like I'm overflowing with power, and I need to hold back a lot, or I might destroy a lot of things."

"Good," Bronya said, covering her with a towel.

Kallen looked at Aron with a blush, realizing that she was naked all the time and remembering all of the things she did. She couldn't take it anymore and covered her face.

Aron smiled wryly at her actions and watched in amusement.

Bronya suddenly pushed Aron outside because Kallen needed to change into clothes. Understanding the situation, he happily complied and descended downstairs to introduce Kallen to the others.

Surprisingly, Theresa was there too, drinking her favorite bitter melon juice.

Theresa looked at Aron and asked, "Do you want some? Bitter melon juice is good for your health."

Aron smiled wryly as Theresa gave him a look like a little girl asking her father to taste her creation.

*Gulp*, Aron gulped as the bitter melon juice neared him and asked his AI, "Sensei, can you turn off my sense of taste?"

"Consider it done," Raphael answered within his head.

'Sensei is becoming more and more like a human,' he thought, drinking the bitter melon juice just to taste the bitterness in a multiplied version.

"Sensei! What the heck!" Aron shouted, feeling the extreme bitterness on his tongue. Himeko looked at him with pity, thinking that he was talking about her.

"I don't know what you mean by that," Raphael answered within his head.

"You know what, forget it. Oh, I'm going to introduce you to Kallen, Kiana's long-lost sister," Aron jokingly said to the others, and Kiana's eyes suddenly lit up upon hearing the announcement.

"I have a sister!?" Kiana shouted in shock, her eyes wide with surprise. She couldn't believe she had a sister. "Did my father lay his hand on another woman!? Tsk! That scumbag. Once I find him, I'll make sure he won't be able to walk again. He probably ran away in the name of buying milk and never came back!?"

Hearing her outburst, Aron sweat-dropped, not expecting her to catch onto his playful trick. Now that he thought about it, Kiana and Kallen had so many similarities that they could easily be mistaken for sisters when seated next to each other.

Theresa, Himeko, and Mei looked at Aron with interest, surprised to learn that Kiana had a sister. Theresa, who knew Kiana since childhood, was shocked to discover that she had another niece besides Kiana.

They all eagerly awaited Aron's further explanation. When Aron opened his mouth, Bronya and Kallen walked downstairs and joined the gathering.

"Eh?" Theresa exclaimed, seeing the familiar face coming downstairs. "What are you doing here? Big-sister-Amber?"

Himeko was equally confused by Kallen's sudden arrival. "What is the assistant of the Overseer doing here?"

"Miss Kallen!?" Kiana shouted, sprinting toward Kallen and hugging her tightly. "I thought I wouldn't see you again!"

"Kallen?" Theresa muttered, the name sounding strangely familiar, but she couldn't quite recall from where.

"Want to take a walk together later?" Aron asked Mei, who thought for a moment but nodded her head.

But there's a noticeable blush on Mei's face, and Kiana, who saw this, smiled happily as Mei was slowly falling for Aron and waited for her turn.

For an unknown reason, Kiana always wanted to have Aron for herself, but knowing his relationship with Seele, what could she do to make them break up and have him all to herself? No, she couldn't do that.

Aron and Seele had a strong bond, and breaking them apart would leave a bad taste in her mouth. Besides, Aron already gave his attention to all of them, even though they weren't in a romantic relationship.

Seele noticed the interaction between the two and gave Mei a gentle smile.

"Seele!" Seele's other self shouted in annoyance, seeing Aron flirting with Mei. "He's flirting with another woman right in front of you! I can't understand why you let him have another relationship. We should just lock him up in an isolated room and have him all to ourselves!"

"So," Seele muttered, looking at the floating version of herself. "You're saying that you're also in love with him?"

"Hah!?" Her other self looked at Seele as if offended and had a slight blush on her face. "Like hell I do love him! HMPH!"

With those words, she vanished again, leaving Seele and Aron giggling.

Bronya, who had observed Seele talking to the air, smiled gently and muttered, "I can fix her."

Aron playfully hit Bronya on the head and said, "You can't fix something that's already fixed."

Bronya tilted her head in confusion, unsure of what he meant by that.

"Uhm..." Kallen decided to address everyone. "I'm Kallen Kaslana, a data program about the history of Kallen Kaslana, and Aron, together with Bronya, helped me get a new body."

"They have my utmost respect and gratitude," Kallen said with a bow, as the trio who didn't understand anything looked at Aron, seeking an explanation.
