Standing Right Next To You

Lina Yang had everything that you could want.  Loving parents - Yes People who care about her - Yes Wealth - Yes Talent - Hell Yes Then what was her problem?  Simple.  She had read way too many novels in her teens causing her brain to function differently.  The drama and face slapping excited her but the love and tragedy scared her.  The angst, the drama and the constant and prolonged misunderstandings in them had carved the brain of young Lina Yang to think in a weird way. She constantly tried to relate her situation with those novels and also thought of those that never would happen. For a virgin, she thought a little too much about what she would do if she ever got pregnant after a drunk one night stand with a random stranger. Always at a conflict with her fantasy world and the reality around her. She wants to see the drama around her but hates to be the center of attention.  She wants to be Kabedon-ed to the wall and fiercely kissed by an evil, possessive CEO type of guy. But at the same time, she thinks of all the sweet innocent MCs whose hearts were broken by the same type.  She just wanted fluff with a side of excitement while excluding the angst and heartbreak. Is that too much to ask for?  Will Lina Yang be able to cope with the storm of new changes happening in her life? Will she find love which she always imagined or will she be left heartbroken?  Only time will tell.  ---- Pinned to the couch, Lina stared upwards at the man whose body was looming over hers. His eyes roamed across her slender body, pausing for a split second at her heaving chest before focusing on those soft lips which were slightly parted. “So Miss Yang, I heard that you wished to be kissed fiercely until you are left breathless and dazed.” He smirked as he drew closer to her deeply reddening face. ‘Who the hell snitched about my fantasy!?’ Lina widened her eyes and screamed in her mind. However, as she watched the nearing face of the man who seemed to be on a mission to fulfill her fantasy, Lina could not help but blush further. “Just say the word and I can turn your fantasy into reality~” He muttered teasingly and moved closer until their lips were just a hair’s breadth away from each other. Lina gazed into his dark, enchanting eyes and there was only one thought in her mind. Angling her head upward, she put her thought into action and successfully captured his lips causing him to freeze in the process. ‘Well, aren’t you a bold one!’ He smirked against her lips after receiving her answer and quickly got to work. ---- This is my first novel so guys please be patient and understanding.

Lunch Date

Seeing Lina in Stephen's arms, Wade Luo took wide steps and reached them in an instant.

"Who gave you the permission to touch my Nana?" Placing Lina behind him and shielding her from Stephen's eyes, he glared at him.

This was the first time Stephen had seen the lazy Wade Luo showing an expression on his usually frozen face.

'What's the relationship between them? I've never seen him show any emotion on his face.' Thought Stephen.

'Nana? Is that Noona's nickname? Kawaii!!!' Squealed Stephen in his brain.

Moving out from behind Wade's back, she held his hand to placate his anger.

"Calm down, gege" she said, just like she did when she was a little kid.

Wade who was previously angry at Stephen for touching his baby sister was now calm and collected.

"Hmm… Why are you here? I thought you'd come meet me at 12. It's 12:30 now." He said, pointing to his limited edition Patek Philippe.

"Looks like I lost track of time talking to Steph" She used the new name she thought of for Stephen.

Happy to see that Lina had accepted him as a friend, Stephen was beaming.

'Steph? When did they become so close?' Wade wondered. Then he glared at Stephen once again.

"What did you do to my sister?" He asked, raising his voice.

"Nothing! Nothing at all!! Noona, tell him!!" He hurriedly looked at Lina for help.

The only person that he was afraid of, after his elder sister, was this man standing in front of him.

Wade Luo, the VP of Obsidia Designs.

This seemingly innocent looking man was a devil incarnate. Usually he was lazy to even lift his fingers in the office, but once someone angers him, his sadistic tendencies would come alive.

There was once a model who was causing trouble for her juniors. At first, Wade did nothing at all, but after some time when complaints about her increased, he was forced to take action.

Disturbing his peace in the office was the biggest mistake that the model could ever do.

After Wade spoke to her one day, she immediately resigned and even willingly paid the two million compensation fee and disappeared. No one knows what Wade told her or where she is right now.

Thinking of this, he felt a shiver run down his spine.

Seeing Stephen's scared face, Lina thought.

'I think he must've seen Wade's sadistic tactics. No wonder he's so scared, even I would be if I was in his place.'

Then she dragged Wade and sat down on the couch while signalling Stephen to also take a seat.

"So Steph, you haven't told me what your work is in the office." She tried to lighten the dark mood surrounding them.

"I'm a model and I also design clothes, mostly clothes for men." He said in a mechanical tone, while glancing at Wade from the corner of his eyes.

"Cool!! My guess was right, that perfect body would be put to great use on the runway! Plus a designer at such a young age, I'm impressed." She praised him wholeheartedly.

Lina was someone who liked to lift others up rather than burning with jealousy and trying to put them down.

'Noona is such a sweetheart, how can she be related to this devil?' he wondered.

"You were much more impressive." Muttered Wade as he reached out to the cookies on the table.

"Those are mine!" Steph said with a pout, while Wade ate the entire cookie in one bite.

Lina giggled looking at them bicker.

"Noona? How are you related to our VP?" He pulled Lina close and whispered in her ear.

"She's my baby sister." Answered Wade who could hear his whispers.

"Ohh..! No wonder the boss looks so handsome. Good looks must run the family." Complimenting them. He winked at Lina.

" Do that again if you want to become blind." Threatened Wade.

"Wade, it's fine. He's like the little brother that I always wanted." She said with a sweet smile.

"I would love having a sister as sweet as you! Unlike that monster at home, whom I call my elder sister!" He grumbled thinking of his sibling.

Seeing Lina have fun with Stephen, Wade loosened up.

"So how did the two of you meet?" He asked.

Lina told him the events that led to them sitting in Stephen's work space, obviously she omitted the embarrassing elevator part.

"Okay. It's time for lunch, let's go." Wade said as he got up from his seat.

"And you. I pay you to work here, not to hang out." He lectured Stephen.

Grabbing onto the last cookie on the plate, he then walked to the door and waited for Lina there.

Lina said goodbye to Stephen and exchanged numbers with him.

Stephen Jin who was pouting adorably was satisfied only after Lina promised to visit him at work soon.

'After all I plan on getting back to work soon.' Lina thought as she walked with Wade to the elevator.

Lina smiled at the interns watching her. Most of them blushed while a few of the girls at the back, frowned at seeing Lina so easily conversing with two of the hottest and most powerful men in Obsidia Designs.

The interns who once again gathered to see the mysterious lady who entered Stephen's space, ran away when they saw VP Luo walking out with her.

Looking at the harmonious air around them, as they entered the elevator, they tried to understand what just happened.

"I wonder who that was? Not only did she enter the little devil's den but also has a good relationship with VP Luo." Said a tall man while pushing glasses up.

"She must be a new model. Did you see how tall she was!?" Replied a young girl.

"Or maybe she is trying to get into the company by using her face to seduce the boss." Mumbled the girl at the end of the room but she was heard by everyone.

"Not everyone is like you, Vivian. Don't try to spread false rumors again." Admonished the tall glasses guy.

"Brother Tim, how can you slander me like that!" Vivian said while showing a pale face but her hands were clenched into fists.

"Everyone in this office knows whether that's slander or the truth. Forget about this and get back to work!" Tim ordered.

"Yes, sir" Saying so, everyone ignored Vivian and got back to work.

Only a few girls were standing in the same place consoling Vivian who now had tears in her eyes.

If Lina was here, her White lotus spidey senses would have tingled.

But Lina was now in her car, driving Wade to the restaurant.

----

As they entered the Western styled restaurant, the manager quickly ran to attend to Wade.

"Manager Rin, how's the business?" Asked Wade as he motioned Lina to walk along as Manager Rin personally led them to their private room on the third floor while discussing business.

He then gave them the menus and went out to wait for them to decide.

As he walked out, Manager Rin was surrounded by the other waiters who were curious about the guest.

"Manager, who was that? Was he someone special, that you took him to the private room on the third floor?" Said one of them.

"Yes, doesn't that room need a prior booking?" questioned another.

"That guest even had our manager waiting on him. He must have a special status for sure." Explained another.

"Stop talking here and get back to work!" Commanded Manager Rin.

"And remember to pay extra attention if you ever see him in the restaurant. We can't afford to offend him." He warned.

The waiters once again started trying to guess the identity of the guest who even Manager Rin feared but ran off when they saw the manager staring at them.

-----

Inside the private room, Lina was deciding what to eat.

She gave out the names of six dishes to Manager Rin who had re-entered the room. Then looked at Wade, waiting for him to order.

Wade just shook his head and returned the menus to the manager and sent him out.

"You know you can order whatever you want, I won't make you pay." Lina said with a serious face.

"Hmph! I'm not being stingy here!" Said Wade with a huff.

"Then why didn't you order for anything?" Lina asked back.

"Because you always do this." Was all that Wade said.

"Do what?" Lina was confused.

"You always order too many things on the menu and you can never finish them. It's always Wayne, Wind and I who have to finish them for you!" He explained, looking at her with disdain.

Wade thought of all the times that Lina, Wayne, Wind and he went out to eat.

Lina as a child, would always order more but would never be able to finish her food. Then she would start crying because she was going to waste so much food.

How could the brothers watch their little angel cry? Hence they had decided to help finish what Lina orders first and only then to order something else for themselves.

Though they never got a chance to order for themselves, because Lina's order could easily fill their stomachs to the brim.

Now that Lina was big enough to handle this news. He decided to tell her about the secret that the three brothers shared.
