Willow looked around, trying to figure out what Ghost was motioning to. On the other side of the street, the man was getting further away, and it was only thanks to the sparse crowd that Ghost could still keep track of the man from his position on the girl's shoulder.
Frantically, he pecked at Willow's cheek once more, then launched himself from her shoulder, taking flight. Spreading his wings, he soared into the air, gaining height as he flew toward the man.
'Damn! This really sucks not being able to speak! Please, let Willow notice!'
The girl's eyes followed the bird's flight, trying to figure out what her companion was doing. Ghost had flown around often on their journey, but Willow could see that something was up this time.
Ghost was definitely trying to tell her something.
'What…'
Her gaze fell to the street below Ghost just in time to catch sight of the man ducking into a back alley, disappearing from sight.
