Every once in a while people get devastated. It is a part of life and fate itself. It comes straight from the heart and can make someone do some unexpected things.
Kyle was devastated but couldn't do anything other than curse. He had been in the room for more than an hour now and he felt tired, and bored. He waited and waited for another hour and still, nothing.
"Argh!" Kyle huffed loudly feeling the frustration. Just then, Nolan opened the door and got in.
"Sir, here's some snacks," Nolan was still kind and respectful. He held some snacks and handed them to Kyle before turning to leave.
"Wait!" Kyle said and Nolan stopped. "Can't you just let me free?"
"I'm sorry sir but that's beyond me now."
Hearing this, Kyle was even more frustrated as he pointed his free finger at him. "I swear if you call me sir again, I'm going to..." He didn't know what to say. What could he do?
"Do what?" This was definitely not Nolan. "Making threats already after breaking all my rules?" Kyle watched as Calista appeared and got into the room. He felt all his anger build up as he glared at her.
"Broke all of you rules?" As much as he wanted to say something else, these were the words that came out instead. "I didn't break rule number four!" Seriously, why was he saying this?
"Have you already forgotten? Your words were, 'I hate that woman'" Kyle immediately looked around and saw a security camera above. That explained her knowing that.
"Aren't you a woman?" Kyle was definitely not giving up on the unnecessary topic. His usual pout was visible and if he wasn't cuffed he would have folded his hands.
"You can leave Nolan," Calista said and Nolan left the awkward place with a respectful bow. Seeing that Nolan had left, Kyle was on high alert. He was after all still cuffed. "It's now time for your punishment," Calista voiced out.
Kyle pressed his lips together. "How are you going to punish a grown man?" He was no longer afraid as his aura spoke of his confidence.
"Just watch," she replied with a charming smile, "You know, I could just use this bracelet that has many ways of making a lion cry." The words were said cassualy and carelessly.
"I'm not afraid," said Kyle determined to be brave.
"Your curled toes say a different story," she said and he tried to uncurl his toes but he couldn't.
"Just get with it already," he was getting impatient. Calista raised a finger and pointed it at the bracelet. Instinctively, he closed his eyes as she slowly pressed on a button.
He expected something painful, but he felt nothing, literally. His body fell, paralyzed, instead. She chuckled. "If you continue disobeying me, I'll be leaving you like this everyday.
He couldn't move nor speak, only blink. She went closer and uncuffed him. His wrist was a little sore. "So delicate, tsk," she said when she saw the sore wrist.
After that, she just left the room. Kyle was left alone again and this time he was paralyzed! He tried to move but he couldn't, not even a bit. In the end, he could only close his eyes and sleep.
Night passed and morning came. When Kyle opened his eyes, he was still not able to move. Calista was not going work that day so she comfortably sat in the living room with her laptop. She completely ignored the fact that there was a paralyzed man who was probably even very hungry. It never occured to her that she should let him free.
Nolan was getting more and more uneasy. It was pure torture for him too, to know of everything. He walked to Calista.
"Madam, Shall I take something to eat to him?" He asked. No one had to voice out who him was.
"No," she replied coldly. Her eyes never left the screen.
"He might get ill," he tried.
"I have a lot of money to take him to hospital or even replace him. Besides, I would have survived such and he says I'm just a woman, so he must survive."
Nolan gave up. He excused himself and went to Kyle. Kyle always had a strong aura but at that moment, it was crashed. He felt tired, bored, hungry, sad, angry... The list could go on.
When Kyle saw Nolan, he was happy. Finally, this torture would stop! However, the look in Nolan's eyes spoke a different story.
