The Void- Azarelle’s Graveyard I
Both young women walked at a constant pace through the deserted land. The moonlight seemed to have gotten brighter and for the first time, she could properly see the face of the child below her.
Although she had brown hair, it was short and she looked nothing like Natalie. They'd both held hands to cross the path so the creatures to come wouldn't notice them.
A thought still clung to Vanessa's mind while they made their way through the lumpy land. There was a wooden sign at the entrance of the land, 'And what if you give yourself, but lose yourself in return?'
Unlike the words from the faceless people, this one came as a question. It seemed straightforward but she could tell there was a deeper meaning to it...
