Chapter six

"Hot springs, hot springs!" I exclaimed in excitement.

"I never thought that you would be so excited about a hot spring." He replied.

"I haven't been to the hot springs in ages," I replied.

"Ages? You talk like your an old grandpa." He Said.

"I do not! It's just a saying." I Said.

"Saying? It's an odd saying." He replied.

"Life's been boring, I wanna go explore or even better tame a mythical beast! Or meet the god of this world." I suggested.

"Ami, that's so unrealistic how in the world will that happen don't tell me five minutes from now we're going to stop the carriage and see a dragon youngling on the side of the road bleeding and you want to save and I'll agree cause I can't resist you." He Said.

After he said that the carriage stopped to see a dragon dying on the side of the road.

"I-I don't w-want to die." He muttered.

"You won't, I'll save you." I replied "I amora "Cielo" kinagure solely swear by the name of demon kin, I will forever protect this dragon and save him and care for him like a mother till the contract ends, swear by the blood pact as old as time." I took the knife in my pocket and cut my finger dropping my blood into his mouth as that sealed the contract.

"My name is unknown, I do not remember anything besides almost dying." He replied.

"It's okay your name will be Haru, I am the one who swore to raise you like my own," I replied.

"Mama." He replied, "he's daddy over there ain't he?"

"Well yes, he is technical, cause I'm married to him," I replied.

"Mama, married him? What does that mean?" He asked.

"You'll know when your older anyways you wanna come with mama to the hot springs?" I asked.

"Sure, Mama." He replied.

He walked side by side with me as we walked back to the carriage and continued to the hot springs.

"It's a pleasure that his highness and his consort have booked a chamber in this servant's hot spring." A woman spoke.

Her eyes noticed Haru and glared for a moment the turned soft again.

"It seems this one was mistaken it seems here there are three of you." She spoke.

I or he didn't care and walked to the chamber and took off our clothes and went into the spring.

"Mama was right this is relaxing, that lady was weird though. She stared at me like she hated me or something? It was our first time meeting her." Haru Said.

"Haru, there are some humans who blame dragons for the big war three years ago. Even though it was the human king who stole the dragon queens only egg." I replied.

Yuki was listening to everything we were talking about and didn't comment one bit.

"Yuki, you haven't said a word. That's not normal for you? Is something the matter?" I asked.

"It's nothing, just what you said about the dragon queen? Who is she?" He asked.

"Dragon queen? Oh her, she so nice. I met her when you left for the imperial place that day, she told me all about the war and she said that if it wasn't for..Ren she would have killed him that day." I replied.

"Wait you're telling me the one day I left my place you made friends with the dragon queen?" He asked.

"Yeah," I replied.

"Funny thing, she said that I would meet Haru this exact day. I thought she was just saying something wacky like she was saying earlier but she was right, huh who knew." I replied.

"Oh yeah she said that she would meet me here tonight, she said, "I'll meet you when you arrive, one-second thought I'll meet you when you're at the inn lounge room," I added.

"That's a lot of info to process in such a short amount of time, I don't have anything to say." He replied.

"That's a surprise figured you'd be smarter than that daddy to get mama to marry you." Haru Said.

"Haru, don't be so mean to Yuki. Sometimes people expect too much from one person that's all." I replied.

"And for your information, Haru. It was my idea to marry Ami, he had no say and just went along with it." He replied.

"Daddy I don't believe that mama to smart for that," Haru replied.

"Alright shut up! I'm trying to relax here! If you want to bicker, go bicker in the inn." I replied.

They left and walked to the inn as a woman appeared and sat next to me in the bath.

"Hi, Azu," I Said.

"Ami, sorry I was late the ministers were arguing over what to do with a prisoner who tried to kill me." She replied.

"Azu, you could have just locked him in the prison and have Ren deal with him," I replied.

"I suggested that and they told me that It was so simple and easy and that wasn't the right sentence and yada yada ya." She replied.

"They must really hate you," I replied.

"Hmm...I didn't think of that. Maybe we should have a guard who's loyal to me disguise themselves as each minister's new servant and write each who plan to destroy me." She suggested.

"Huh? That's a good idea. You know what have..a Hikaru does it, they don't know who he is." I Said.

"You know what? That's brilliant!" She shouted.

"We should keep this on the down-low," I whispered.

"That's right, so only I and you will know of this plan." She Said, "also thanks for taking care of my kid brother for me, as far as they're concerned, he's dead."

"Let's keep that way, just till you decided to retire and he takes over," I replied.

"Anyways Ami, What will you do about your brother?" She asked.

"My brother? I didn't think about that," I replied.

"What if he manages to..you know to take the throne as Emperor and you know sentences you to death?" She asked.

"Don't worry about that, he couldn't anyways. The crown prince doesn't love him anyway." I replied.

The wind blew as a figure in black appeared and threw a sword at my chest and barely missed but managed to cut some of the sides up and damage my ribs.

"Crap, Azu thanks for saving me there," I replied.

"Don't talk you, big idiot, I'll heal you up but try not to move around for a couple of hours." She replied.
