His & Her Feelings

"There is one thing... Kill me. "

Standing in suspense as he waited for my response, I spoke.

"Just kidding... That was a joke I thought up. Was it to your liking... "

A sudden burst of emotion came from the boy as he crouched down and held me to meet his ferocious gaze as he pleaded me from speaking that way again.

"Please... Mistela... Do-Dont speak that way about yourself... Never again... please. "

His worried gaze suddenly made my heart flutter as a maid came to fetch the boy. Waiting for my response, I nodded lightly as his fave relaxed while he stood up and helped me back to my bed.

Meeting my gaze as the maid told him it was urgent, the boy agreed and turned as he left around the corner.

A sudden burst of air left my chest as if I felt I was about to explode in that very second. His sharp, grey eyes sent shivers down my back as I lightly touched my beating chest. Holding up a leaf that stuck to my leg from the pond, I held it lightly over my mouth as I smelled the sweet scent of spring.

"It was not as if it was my aim to worry you... "

Lowering my gaze as I stared out onto the pond.

"Idiot... I wanted to make you laugh. "

Lifting my arms around my legs, I fell down onto my pillow as I stared at the vertical scenery. Closing my eyes as my body felt warm, I softly gasped as the windy breeze flooded the room. Without a care in the world, I felt at peace as I softly inhaled a breath after another in sequence.

"... Foolish... Boy... "

~

Twitching my nose, I woke up as an itch on the tip of my nose brought me back from my dream. As I opened my eyes, I met the gaze of a small, little girl as she tilted her small head as if wondering who I was. Opening my mouth I spoke in a low, soft voice as I greeted her.

"Hello... "

Smiling brightly, her small and soft hand rested gently on my cheek. I suddenly gasped as her cold palm touched my warm skin.

Moving my head to meet her gaze, she stood still until she rested her head beside mine.

Looking into her gentle grey eyes, we looked at each other until she suddenly began dazing off. Waking herself up, I scoffed a slight breath and decided to test out my maids melody for when I couldn't go to sleep.

As I hummed, she slowly began getting weary as she balled up into her chest and dug her head closer to mine. Continuing halfway through the melody, I hesitantly lifted my hand and held the small little girl closer to my chest. Once I finished the song, she had completely fallen asleep in my arms. I closed my eyes and softly listend to the rapid heartbeat in her chest.

As I awoke, I held the small little girl closer in my arms as the boy stood overhead as if wanting to take her away. Surprised when I grabbed his arm, he stared at my gaze as I was still half asleep.

"Mistela... That's the daughter of my older sister."

Looking over his shoulder at the beautiful woman in a golden white kimono, I eased my grip as he took the little girl away.

Standing up as he held her in his arms, he gently handed her back to her mother. The little girl then snuggled right at home in her mothers arms.

As she gave a noble smile, she looked at me as she thanked me for looking after her daughter. Closing my eyes and opening them slowly, I nodded as she left the room. I could only assume the boy escorted the young woman from the property. Regardless, I was now awake and in a peaceful state of mind.

Sitting up gently, I hunched over and stretched my arms as I felt I could walk on my own for a while. Getting up, I closed my eyes as I waited for my head to stop spinning for a second and continued to look around the mansion.

Making my way through the mansion, I stopped on the opposite side of the pond as I lightly touched my chest. Remembering the worried gaze on the boy face, I somehow continued to touch over my chest as my heart was still fluttering. I turned and continued walking.

After a while, I stopped at a stone path leading into the yard. Climbing down slowly, I questioned whether if my body was either recovering or worsening as the pain now felt more intense than ever before. With it, I regained feeling in the soles of my feet as I touched down on the hard stone steps.

Sitting down on a stone slab under a large tree, I closed my eyes as I took in the warm and fuzzy feeling without restraint. Not long after did a maid come to fetch me as she told me the boy was going half crazy when he found an empty bed.

"Please, Miss... I don't wish to be scolded by the young Master. "

Looking into her worried eyes, I stood as she helped me get back into the mansion and guided me back to the room. Once I rounded the corner, the young boy looked at me and rushed to hug me as if we had been apart for ages.

My breathing suddenly became uneasy as I flet my heart begin to flutter when he was this close to me. Not long after, he let me go as his face turned bright red after realizing the situation.

"I-its your fault for saying that terrible joke... Anyway, tell one of the maids if you need anything next time. I was worried you...might have left the mansion... "

As I tried to process what happened, he left as a maid was ordered to keep an eye on me for a while.

As he was out of sight, I stared at the ground while gasping and calming myself as I held my fingers over my chest. Having never felt this way before, I turned around slowly and walked out to sit at the edge of the pond.

"Is everything alright? "

Shaken by the maids voice, I wondered if hours had passed as my mind was still in a haze. The same thoughts kept repeating in my head as I still felt his warmth and inhaled his ink, scented smell.

"I'm... Okay? I just... Need to clear my head... That's all. "

Helping me as I stood up, I walked without clearly seeing where I was going until I reached the same stone path from before in the yard. Looking up, I stepped out into the light as the sun shined down on the residence with its warmth.

~

Time passed as the haze in my head had subsided. Sitting down near the edge of the pond, I lightly touched the water with my fingers as I gently began making waves across the surface. Stopping, I suddenly touched my chest at the same time the young boy appeared behind me.

"I thought I was being subtle... Guess I failed at admiring the most beautiful sight in the whole mansion. "

Lowering my gaze as I met his eyes, I became skeptical as all these emotions were making it more and more difficult for me to leave.

"Why do I interest you... "

Lowering his gaze, he spoke.

"You have a certain... Energy that makes me feel drawn to you... I don't know what it is either, I just... Want to keep you by my side... I've never really felt this way about anyone before... Your the first one to have ever made my heart flutter everytime I see you... "

Blushing uncontrollably as my eyes were wide open, I looked hesitantly as he met my gaze and reflected my face as we both turned away.

I began to calm myself down as I still felt the uneasy feeling in my chest. The closer I drew near the reason for these feelings, the cleaer it became apparent that I had to leave before misfortune... Or something worse came for the boy. Stealing my feelings, I decided to leave and run as far as my legs could take me.

~

Night soon came as I gathered my things in secret. My feelings surged at the thought of leaving behind the young boy. Pushing forward, I repeatedly told myslef to leave for the good of the young boy.

Sneaking through the shadows, I left the mansion while avoiding the security near the gate. Using all my stenght, I climbed over the wall while using the stone slab from before as a step stool to get over to the other side.

Time passed as I had put a great distance from the mansion to the base of the mountian road as I looked back at the city.

Turning around, I continued walking as the sun peaked over the horizon.

Stopping when my legs could no longer listen to me, I collapsed on the road beside the mountain and began passing out.

Suddenly hearing leaves rustling from above, I heard a loud smack behind me as a pair of small legs appeared in my view as I passed out.

If one thing was certain, no matter how much I tired to forget, my heart continued to flutter as memories of my old life were replaced by the time I spent in the boys mansion.

I had grown attached to the place...

No, I had grown attached to the boy, himslef.
