One Night.

FINAL CHAPTER

As he fell on the ground, his face hit the stone and blood spluttered out of his forehead, His ankle was in so much pain that it felt like it's on fire.

But he had no time to think anything else further because more important matter were pressed / crawling over him.

He had keys in one hand and another hand front to grasp something which will help him to pull himself up,

The second he grasp the trunk of the tree to stand up, he was again on the ground and was pulled back by his legs.

He tilted his face in surprise and saw that the creature was pulling his leg towards her and had the biggest crooked smile plastered on her face.

That image was so terrifying that he started scratching and pushing and pulling but nothing came in his hand, he was not able to stabilize himself and panic was showing very obviously on his face.

Finally! As she saw that her prey had lost balance, she started crawling fastly and when she got closer and grabbed his leg tightly so that he can't escape,

" It's been long " And smiled, a devilish smile that always made her prey crazy.

She started dragging him in the dark so that no one can listen to his screams and don't get disturbed.

She moaned with excitement.

He kept struggling and trashing , desperate to control the movement of his body.

"I have to do something! She look so terrifying even from back, I can't die, I won't die! " He felt like crying.

Then he got the idea!

"HELP! SOMEONE HELP ME! " He started screaming loudly , he knew he was close to highway, It was bit late but he hoped someone will hear him and at least come to look in the forest out of curiosity,

But his hope died very quickly as he felt hand pressed on his mouth and dark and angry red eyes in front of him.

Tremor run down his whole body for few seconds, his thought process was going wild as he started thinking about how he regretted to be living in that home town and double thinking all his life choices.

She heard him screaming and thought, "that's it, I will devour him right here right now"...

Put her hands on his mouth roughly and strangled his upper body so that he can't move and be less troublesome.

As she started pulling his hair , his head was bended in very acute angle and his neck was exposed to her.

She licked the fat strip there and mumbled lowly, it sounded like mixture of growl and moan.. Too hard to decipher what that meant.

He started crying and praying , "leave me alone, please don't... D-don't hurt me!! ".

He thought of something when she grabbed his shoulder more tightly,

He thought " I have to distract her, have to make her feel that I am far gone and became insane"

To make her believe that, he started wailing and started mumbling,

She was surprised when she heard the crying sounds, she grabbed his shoulders tightly and moved her attention towards the face.

When she saw that her prey has accepted the fate and was just trying to stop her by praying to her, she felt like a winner and felt like she won the battle,

All she had to is snap his neck and all problems will be solved and she can go back, and wait for another one.

It worked, her attention was on his face and was looking at him tearing up and being little happier about it,

While his hand was moving towards the back of his head, where he hid his car keys and a rock, (by which he got the wound on his head earlier) .

He waited for a second, when he saw that she started moving her hand towards his neck, "now is the chance!, don't miss it or consider yourself dead".

He threw the rock at her eye and stood up.

She lost her eyesight for some seconds and she felt blood gushing out from the corner,she was hurt and felt such an excruciating pain, She lost the hold on his shoulder and shielded her eyes and was ready to claw in every direction but felt something cold metal thing digging in her chest!

He scooted up on the ground and was in sitting position and took his keys between his fingers and jabbed her chest with it,

She started wailing and moved back from it clutching her chest and stood up and was shrieking out at him and the sounds she was making was like of a wounded deer.

Too painfull for his ears, he felt like if he sat there even for one second his ear will start bleeding out.

He took the opportunity and stood up grabbing the tree branch and with a wounded ankle he had no choice but to limp towards the direction of his car. He thanked all the gods above and his pure luck as he get into the car and pushed to keys in ..

As he jammed to keys in,

He saw the bloody creature coming out and was scratching on the window and kept banging on it.

But thankfully (thanks to his pure luck) car started on first go and he drifted her car away from the trees..

He saw from the rear view mirror that she sat on the ground with a thump and fainted on the ground, face bloody , chest going up and down and

She looked dead.. Dead?!

He didn't gave the second thought as he crossed the highway and took the road far faaaaaar away towards his home..

As adrenaline was still pumping in his body, he was hyperaware for the whole ride and although it was 3:45am , he was super attentive and not felt like a speck of dizziness and drowsiness. He became very paranoid and it took like 2 whole days to felt safe enough to sleep and boy did he sleep like a baby, almost for 16 hours.

Although his family had to make an appointment with the therapist but he was not complaining because hey! Atleast he was alive.
