Secretly A Shifter

I was taking my math test and I got stuck on a hard problem. I quickly start getting stressed, my eyes turned scalene. I put my right hand over my eyes and I raised my left hand.

Mrs. Lee called on me, "Yes, Miss Dreemurr? What is it?"

"I don't feel so good, can I go to the bathroom?" I told Mrs. Lee.

"Yes, you can, and be careful not to make a mess." Mrs. Lee told me as I ran out of the classroom, hoping no one saw the strange bumps on my back.

I quickly ran to the girls' bathroom and stood in front of the first sink. I looked into the mirror, staring at my scalene red eyes. I took deep breaths until the wings and tail disappeared and my eyes returned to normal, er as 'normal' as they get. I sighed and rubbed my face, looking into my bright red eyes. The boys said it reminded them of blood and gore and violence. I never asked them why nor do I want to know why.

I then heard my best friend's voice outside the door, her name is Techna Tiger, "Chara? You in there girlfriend?"

I sighed again and shook myself, green scales falling to the floor. I picked them up and put them in my schoolbag. I walked over to the bathroom door and opened it.

"Yes, T, I'm in here. What do you want?" I said annoyed that my relaxing moment had been ruined.

"You okay?" Techna asked.

"I'm fine, T. No need to worry let's get back to class." I answered. We walked back to math class and I finished the test. I talked to Mrs. Lee about giving me easier questions for tests so I won't get so stressed out. She said she would, so I left class. I looked at my watch and checked the time. It was 2:30 PM. Time to head home. I walked home and collapsed on my bed.
