When I finally left the throne room, it was almost dinner time. Aella tried to follow me out of the throne room, but I ditched her on the way out. I'm not extremely mad at her or anything, but the fact that she didn't just come to talk to me still bugs me a little. I'll talk to her soon and we'll be fine, but until then, I'm just going to stay away and clear my head. I ate dinner in my room with all of my servants. Once I'd dinner, I decided to go to the dungeon and get rid of my frustration through killing. Nothing clears the mind like a good old fashion slaughter.

Souei teleported us straight into the first floor and we got straight to business. Rem and I have formed a very nice team throughout the years. The second we enter the first floor we demolish the first beast we see. Which happened to be a giant rat. Rem rushed at it and smashed it into the dungeon was, as I impale it to the said wall with a flaming spear. This is how all of the fights proceeded up to the 10th floor. I only ranked up once on the way down. It keeps getting harder to get to the next rank.

The tenth floor is a forest dungeon with a bunch of dangerous animals. The ones we've been running into the most are black panthers. They aren't that much bigger than the black panthers back on earth, but they are extremely fast. Before arriving at the boss room, we ran into an ambush of black panthers. The door to the boss room was in our sights. We just had to leave the edge of the forest and open the door. Of course, before we left the forest, five panthers surrounded us. Souei didn't look surprised at all. I guess he wanted us to notice them ourselves. I wasn't using my magic sense at the time so I didn't notice and neither did Rem.

As they appeared in front and behind us, they struck before we could and dashed at all of us. Souei killed the one that rushed him almost immediately and sat back to watch the fight. I ordered him to act this way years ago. If he were to kill all of my prey, I would never rank up at all. Rem and I both dodged out of the way in time to avoid getting pounced on. As the panthers dodged past me, I conjured a flaming sword and circulated battle energy all around my body. With the strength increase and a weapon in hand, I dashed at the closest panther.

Rem seemed to be on the same wavelength as me because she followed me perfectly. With me leading the charge and Rem following close behind flail in hand, we get to the first panther and start our attack. I swing my sword at one of its hind legs and sever a tendon. Now that one of its legs is immobilized, it's movement is restricted. Rem takes advantage of its constricted movement and goes for the kill. She pulls back her flail and smashes it directly on the injured panther's head. As the flail connected with panthers skull, it's head popped like a water balloon. Only three panthers remain.

When the other panthers saw the complete and utter destruction that panther, they started circling us with hesitation. That fight or flight response activated, but they seemed to choose fight. They took a page from me and Rem's book and attacked us in a group. They came at us with a renewed vigor and in a triangle formation. One at the front and two following close behind that one. They all attacked Rem as the first swipes it's claw at her. She dodged that but the last two pounce on her and try to pin her down. Before they can touch her, I get next to her and kick one of them away. The other is smacked out of the air by Rem's giant flail. The flail shreds it's stomach and causes the panther to start bleeding profusely.

The bleeding panther cries out as it's sent flying into a tree. The panther that was originally in the lead tries to avenge its friend and sneak attack Rem, but this time I have my magic sense on. I immediately turn around and see it's movement. Conjuring a few flaming spears, I shoot them straight at the sneaky panther. It wasn't expecting me to notice it's movements and was turned into a flaming porcupine. Only two panthers remain and one is very close to death already.

Not seeing any point in drawing this out, I instruct Rem to follow my lead. We go for the weakest link first and attack the bleeding panther. The other panther tried to save its friend, but it was too late. We appeared right in front of the injured panther and struck. I poked it with my flaming sword and Rem smashed it with her flail for good measure. When the last panther realized that all of its friends were dead, it turned and ran for its life. As it gets farther away, I shoot some flaming arrows at its retreating form. The arrows sail through the air and tear into the panther back. All of the panthers are magically stripped of all usable material by the system as always. I store the bones and other leftovers as well for other purposes.

"Good job, Rem. Our teamwork is getting better with each fight." I say as I catch my breath.

"Un~" Rem nods her head in agreement.

"I agree, Master. You two have been improving rapidly."

"Alright, let's go back to the palace. I have school tomorrow and I need my beauty sleep." I say as we finally make it to the boss room door. "We'll fight the boss next time around."

When we got back to the palace, I looked at all of the beast parts in my inventory. Hehehe... Hahaha! It's time to start devouring all of the spoils from tonight's expedition. I wonder how many skills and ability's I'll get?
