CHAPTER 41: ENGAGED

COLTON

I have been explaining to Shana about what I feel for her really feel inside and asking her to be mine… my forever. She was spacing out the whole time I expressing myself to her.

Then I asked her directly and she just said 'What?' then froze staring into my eyes. I almost laughed seeing her shocked. But she was so cute that I want to take her in the counter making love all night.

"So, are you 100% focus on me now?" I asked to make it sure she is listening because if not it will take you whole night. And I do not want that because I still have something else important to do.

"Okay, okay, I am good and focus now. Tell me again what exactly did you say." She spoke.

I began telling her on how I felt the moment I first met in the company. About her eyes…blah…blah…blah. Then on how I started fallen for her not even knowing the REAL her that I want. Even she was pregnant with other man.

Fortunately, I was grateful it was all mine. I cleared my throat and repeated the words I said a while ago. "Shana, will you be mine forever?" I repeated. "You know, how much I love you right?"

"Yes, and I love you too." She smiled. "I know the time I first met you it was love at first sight to me. Seeing you inside the elevator that morning I could feel myself that you are something. I never felt that way before as much as I feel about you. It was crazy that I have to laugh at myself knowing that you had a thing in my heart. But I keep denying it because I was afraid for someone like you." She spoke. "But fate made us into this and came to the point we never knew it was our path to meet our destiny. Of course, I am forever yours."

I hugged her tight and let go. "Wait, I will be back stay there okay." Then I quickly rushed to our room.

When I went back outside, I found her beside the twins. 'Perfect' I said it in my mind.

I kneeled down to my twins. "Hey, my loves, I want you to listen carefully to what Dada tell Mommy okay?" I said as I looked at them and they smiled.

I looked at Shana as she was looking down at me in confusion. "I love you more than you ever know and they are my witness in everything I say to you." She nodded and smiled. I slowly opened my palm and show it to her. A ring in my hand. She covered her mouth with her hands as she knew what I am going to say.

"Shana, I know that this is unplanned. However, for me this is the right moment to do this. It may not exactly your dream proposal but I will make it up to you soon." I speak. "Will you accept me as your husband to be and marry me?" I asked and her tears started to fall. I now hear sobbing and I got tense for a moment there.

"Yes, yes, Colton, I will marry you." She jumped on me hugging me tight while the twins were noisy calling us. "I love you so much." She said while still crying. "I love you too Colton. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I do not want anything expensive surprise proposal and engagement party either. Just you, are enough for me that you want me forever." She kissed my lips then pulled away." I love you; I love you." then we kissed longer.

Falling in love was unexpectedly in my part but I gained more than that. It is building me a family. A family I never imagine to have and found my other half sooner than I imagine.

I pulled first. " Let's clean up and put our angels to bed, okay?" She nodded, wiping her tears. "It's late and get them tackled."

The two of us immediately do our obligations. Shana does the chores while I have to put our angels to sleep. She knows that I have less time with them because of work. Our twins are still wide awake when Shana came to their room.

"Well, well, well. I thought they were already sleeping." She spoke.

"That's what I thought but I guess they wanted to spend a little time with Dada." I laughed. It doesn't matter to me anyway. No matter how tired I am as long as spending time with them is nothing.

Shana is always there for them whenever I travel other countries so I understand. Time is precious with my family.

I read them children's book every night they go to bed if I am in the house or not. Shana makes sure they always hear my voice before going to sleep.

Before we know it both Soren and Christina were already resting. We named our twins with our initials C and S.

I watched Shana kissed both of them. I already did my part. I already turn the baby monitor on. They even have CCTV in their room so it is safe. I held Shana's hand as we closed their door.

"Would you like a little wine to celebrate our engagement, Mrs. Colton to be?" I smiled.

Shana chuckled. "I love to, Mr. Colton."

She goes to the living room area while I get the glass of wine in the bar. She turned on the music for us to unwind.

I found her slow dancing in the middle of the living room. She is really a good dancer. I already seen her once before when we met at the club. I smirked as I recall that night.

Walking towards her with my both hands a glass of expensive wine in store.

"Hey, baby." I called as I handed her the glass. She smiled, taking it from me. She sipped it then looked at me as she wrapped her arms around my neck.

"I love you." Shana whispered.

"I love you so much, baby."
