First Contract

[Notice]

[Due to the loss of your vital, a certain achievement acquired. You will now be teleported to the place suited to your personality.]

"So I'm dying" He helplessly said to himself.

" I'm cold... I... I don't want to feel this kind of coldness..." He stuttered with his pale face.

[Notice]

"Because of your desire to live and to not experience cold. You have received a Cold Resistance Skill, Type: Rare. You also have received a Heat Resistance Skill, Type: Uncommon."

"Now that I think about it... Who's this person and what it's talking about." He wondered.

[Notice]

"Transferring complete. You will now be teleported."

" Wha- What?! Where are we going?!" He yelled but no one could hear him nor the voice that was talking could hear him yell.

Fwoosh~

Crackle~

[Notice]

"You have been successfully teleported. Good luck on your journey."

That was the last words I heard before waking up into nothing but sand. Every turn of my head all I can see is a vast desert. However, to my surprise, I can't feel the heat from the raging sun.

I am Wilbert, I died on a rollercoaster accident with my girlfriend. The safety handle broke and I flew a few hundred yards away and broke all of my bones but I didn't die immediately.

When I was about to lose consciousness an unknown voice spoke to me. Due to the shock that I received from the fall, I couldn't understand what It said all I remember was that I heard a weird sound and when I woke up... I'm stuck in here.

Wilbert stood up. "Wh- Where am I?" He said and he was confused, he was so sure that he died in that accident that night.

Splat~

He stepped on something buried under the sand looked at it and realized that it was an animal.

"Squeak!" It groans.

He removed his feet right away. "O- Oh! My bad, I didn't know you were there." Wilbert apologized and he picked it up from the sand.

It's a black rabbit-like animal with small wings on its back. Wilbert pets it and it looks like the animal likes it.

"Are you hurt or something?" Wilbert asked in a worried tone.

But to his surprise, the rabbit-like creature responds and it can understand what he says.

"Don't worry about it-squeak, human." He said and he sounded like a teenage boy.

"Wha- You can talk?!" To his surprise, he almost dropped him.

"What do you think-squeak? You're tongue language is the most common to the world of Laurasia-squeak." He openly mocked Wilbert with his prideful tone.

"U- Uh, Hehe. Laurasia? Can I ask what is that? or where am I?" Wilbert curiously asked.

"Oho... You're here without knowing where you are quickly?! That's interesting... You are in the Great Desert of Laurasia-squeak." He said kinda suspicious.

Wilbert looked at him and couldn't believe what he heard. "G- Great... Desert? Laurasia??" He was so confused about what he had learned.

"May I ask your name Mr. Black Rabbit? I am Wilbert, just Wilbert" He asked in curiosity after he learned where he was right now.

"I don't have a name-squeak. Only the beast that formed a contract with a human and became their familiars are the only ones who's got a name-squeak." He sighed. He said in a disappointed tone.

"Then how to form that contract or whatever?" Wilbert curiosity couldn't stop.

"You just need to wound your fingers and mix the blood that will flow from it and it's done quickly He said and he was surprised that he was giving this information to a stranger.

Clap~

"Oh! Then how about this? Let's form a contract and become my number one companion! How about that?" Wilbert joyfully suggested to the rabbit-like beast that they should form a contract without knowing the consequences.

As they are talking, the rabbit-like beast realizes that Wilbert is like a child who has just been born. He doesn't know how this world works and yet he's insisting on becoming familiar.

He checked Wilbert's body, and he saw the immense mana pool on his body. He thinks it's equivalent to a sage or maybe higher.

"Yo- You! Do you have an idea of what you are saying right now?!" He said and he's being hesitant about Wilbert's offer.

"Uh... No! Hehehe... I just want to have a companion to talk to and to have a conversation with you." He said and just smiled.

[Notice]

" I heard this voice again."

[Notice]

"The beast you are talking to right now is just a transformation of the oldest lion beast of Laurasia. He's the Great Lion who reigned unbeatable from the past hundreds of years."

" What? This rabbit? But I want to be his companion and I'd like to form a contract with him."

[Notice]

"Forming a contract is possible due to your immense mana it won't be a problem."

"Alright !"

"Are you nuts, aren't you? Just don't blame me for what will happen to your body." He just smirked and eventually agreed to Wilbert's offer.

They both bite their fingers and start the ritual of forming a contract. They released an unbelievably strong aura and mana just to form a single contract. He was surprised that Wilbert was capable of doing this kind of thing knowing that no one in Laurasia could form a contract with him, he couldn't help but be amazed.

While they are forming their contract the rabbit-like beast transformed to its original form. He's a huge Lion with dragon wings.

"Now, bestow me a name befitted for a king!" He proudly said.

Wilbert nods. "I will bestow you a name, Dominus!"

"It's a Latin word for 'Lord' since you are a legendary lion from this world."

He roared accepting his name and creating a huge impact, after his roar the contract was done.

"Dominus, huh? I like that name." He fiercely smiled and overjoyed.

After the contract was done, Dominus turned back to his small form. But to Wilbert's surprise, he changed his appearance from a black rabbit to a small lion cub with small wings but with a terrifying aura.

"Now, Wilbert, you and I are now companions. Don't hesitate to ask what you want and I'll gladly tell you about it. Since you're the only person who's capable of doing this, I'll swear my loyalty to you." Dominus bowed his head with respect.

Wilbert didn't know how to react. "Uh... Hmm. Let's do our best!" He smiled and petted his head.
