I can't count how many times i have ran in that garden today. If not for Briar, i wouldn't have suffered so much.

I hate my life. And all i need is just a break from being a maid. Just a nice time with Linda, Amber and Hazel. But they are all gone now.

Five years ago, i was just a jovial 14 year old Princess Rose. I loved hot baths, soft beds, and my favorite flower was Red Rose. Being a princess, i had a garden of my own filled with red roses. Every morning, there was a fresh bouquet next to me.

My parents were loving. Queen Jennie was everything you needed from your queen. Powerful, beautiful...Do one thing to make her smile and she will give you millions.

Queen Jennie wasn't as demanding as i was all the time. That's why we were a lot different. From her blue eyes to her pink hair, and her wonderfully made dresses and gorgeous skin, i always thought i was exchanged with her real baby or something.

And King Damien, from his silky black hair, to his handsome face, no one would ever think he was even married. His tall stature and everything was just perfect about him. Though he had my bad temper, i knew we were still different.

But he was my dad, and that's all i know. Dad was tall and mum was average but you aren't insulting me as a Princess if you tell me am short.

I am 100% short. At the age of 14, mum squatted to kiss my cheek. And since i began working here as a maid, i have grown a bit taller. And you hear the person i refer to as Briar, hahaha.

Her real name is Alyssa, but she's Briar because she's unsophisticated and sooooo annoying! Let's save Alyssa's story for another period.

Back.....To What I was Reading..

"ROSIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Now there she is.

"ROSIE, the Queen needs you in the court." The maid still bowed to me. She noticed she was lost and forgotten i wasn't a princess anymore. We wore a faint smile.

I got up and scoffed as i walked into the court. There were ministers, and other courtiers, as i looked straight at Queen Ahyeon who was wearing....MY FAVORITE ROSE DRESS!

"WHAT THE HECK ARE YOU WEARING?" I totally lost it with her.

"What? Rose is that how you talk to your elders?" Queen Ahyeon gazed at me and i gave a fake chuckle.

"Oh no my Queen, why would i talk to you in that manner? I was talking to my shadow." I gave the lamest lie and it was clear she didn't have time for me right now. Her daughter Mina rushed in and knocked me down. I threw a murderous glare at her as she rushed to her stupid throne.

I mean, my throne.

Ahyeon and Mina were Korean, while my dad's powerful rival Leonardo wasn't.

I have heard how nice Koreans were, but i've never heard of devils like them. They turned me into what i am today, and they are gonna give me back my crown, themselves. They imprisoned Queen Jennie and King Damien, they turned us into slaves. All because of jealousy.

My beautiful red rose garden, was turned into white rose garden, which i myself watered every single day.

Watch me, i won't water it today. Let's see what happens.

"Okay Rosie, i have an assignment for you."

"Name it"

"I want you to buy some milk from the famous milkmaid."

"Yeah." I left the court without her saying more. I went out into the garden and was hopping around the bushes, soon i found the milkmaid struggling with the buckets. I have never met her, because i have never gone to get milk. There were filled, tasty milk buckets and bottles before me as i smirked and rushed towards her.

"MILKMAID!" I yelled and as she turned around with her black hair flip, i could get a second glimpse, she looked so so gorgeous. From her beautiful eyes, down to her pink lips, she was effortlessly pretty.

"Hi, you are so beautiful! What's your name? Let me guess, Diamond, Lily, Tulip, Tuna, Lola, Lilac, Clara, Cynthia, Sandra..."

"Am Sapphire, dear Princess."

"Sapphire?? Woah! The perfect name. But Sapphire, call Me Rose."

"Why? You are our Princess." I shut her up immediately.

"its a long story. I need a bucket of milk please.." I went back to sales. She gave me the bucket overflowing with milk, and i dipped my hands in my apron pocket. I had just a few coins, but paid. I sat in the bushes and watched her leave. In seconds, i drank the tasty milk and emptied the bucket.

When i reached the palace, there were thundering yells, and i was sure it was Ah Yeon.

"WHY DIDN'T SHE WATER THE ROSES? WHAT IF THEY DIE!" I went to her with the empty bucket. She was in her grand bedroom. Which was once, Queen Jennie's.

"They won't die if i skip one day.' i said disrespectfully.

"PARDON?"

"Yeah, this time i was talking to you." I folded my arms and she scoffed.

"You shouldn't be."

"I am."

"AND WHERE IS THE MILK I SENT YOU?" She went back to roaring as i threw the bucket straight at her face. She growled and started chasing me.

"GUARDS GET HER!" I chuckled real hard as i ran on seven flight of stairs before i turned around to see her rolling down the stairs. The guards at the entrance tried to block my way but i angrily pushed them and ran outside. I panted as i felt the whole army chasing me. My legs were aching but i pushed myself to run. I wish i met Sapphire right now. I wish i could climb on her hair and reach Paradise!

I slept under a tree in the evening.

I woke up and saw DARKNESS. It was super strange as i held on to the tree and started singing a Korean song i once heard from Queen Ah Yeon.

Soon, i heard horses, hails and chants, and i got even more scared.

"Am i in a battleground." The horses came closer and soon it stopped. I didn't realize someone was right in front of me until i started perceiving the loveliest fragrance ever.

Was it Sapphire?

The person walked closer to me and pointed a lamp.

It was a prince. I looked up to him in fear, and he signaled for me to stand up. I slowly got up and he started laughing.

DAMN!

"Woah, how short." His laughter was kinda cute.

"Where are you from?" He asked me and i was mute for some seconds before he tapped my shoulder.

"May. Am a maid there." i told him and he smiled.

"Did you run away?" I nodded. He slowly took my hands and in seconds, i started blushing. Was i in love with him?

He was very gorgeous. And his hair was silky, unlike my long brown irritating curls. He gently grabbed my waist and damn, i felt like kissing this fairy tale of a guy. He placed me on his horse, and suddenly, i felt like a Princess again. I missed my horse Flo, and i wish i'd see it once.

We rode on his horse for hours till we finally reached his kingdom. It was grand, and his castle was amazing. His parents were away (it seems) but just as we passed by his stable, i noticed something and gasped.

"Flo??"
