Harold

A storm was brewing inside Adam as he read the last message. Thousands of thoughts, but among them were no ideas on how to fix his bad situation.

In the end, the only thing Adam could do was sigh so heavily, resigned to his fate.

- Is this done for the sake of being realistic? - Adam could only complain and sigh.

There was good news, however, because Adam could control the plot himself, which was very good. As the world was built, Adam could only follow his plan.

"In the first chapter, Edric was forced to follow his big brother to the banquet." Adam thought and smiled when he heard the knock, "Here comes his doggie."

Adam went to the door and opened it. At the door, he saw an amused character, an old man with a short mustache, wearing a silly costume, trying to imitate the horrible taste of his older brother Edric.

- Yes? - Adam asked nonchalantly, stopping to examine the old man.

- Mr. Harold wants to see you, you little brat! - The old man spoke without respect and looked at Adam contemptuously. - Change into something decent, so as not to embarrass Mr. Harold!

- Mm, I'll try. Adam nodded with a carefree smile and slammed the door in the old man's face.

Adam laughed when he heard the old man cursing outside the door. Not paying much attention to the nasty old man, Adam went to the closet and began to change.

In the end, he chose a double-breasted suit. His good looks made Adam look stunning in it. At the same time, Adam got a good look at his main character.

- Extremely handsome.

Edric von Aschenwald was a tall and slender young man with dark hair and gray eyes. His facial features express determination and intelligence, and his appearance is always full of nobility.

In the eyes of the noble ladies, Edric was incredibly beautiful and desirable. And Edric's father was well aware of this, too, which is why he never let him go to banquets.

Besides, Edric was eighteen now, and he didn't even have a fiancée. Usually, the sons of nobles were engaged when they were ten years old. There were even occasions when they were six years old.

"Damn, this self-imposed book has changed the plot too much...I can't breathe!" complained Adam, realizing his bad situation.

He will have a hard time breaking through the shadow of his older brother. His family will get in the way of getting achievements, much less titles.

Adam could only sigh sadly and hope that the spells would help him make his way.

"I only get one chance to use Character Influence, and I've already used Word Magic Creation... I need to act smart and not hesitate."

Adam pushed the door open with great force on purpose. As a result, there was a scream and a rumble.

- Damn it, are you stupid?! - I heard an old and nasty voice.

Adam saw the old man fall to the floor and twitch. His face turned stony, but in fact, Adam tried not to laugh, for the old man looked ridiculous.

- Oh, I beseech your pardon. I'm a young man who's not quite used to his powers yet. - Adam put on a pitying expression on his face and held out his hand to the old man. - Let an awkward brat help a weak old man.

Adam smiled sweetly, to which the old man only glanced at him angrily.

- I don't need your help! - yelled the old man and slapped Adam's arm.

"Huh?" Adam's face darkened as he suddenly had a wild desire to kill this old man.

At the same time, the old man, not realizing that his life was on the verge of death, only grunted and after the fifth attempt was able to get up.

- Follow me, now!

The old man stepped forward, though it looked more like he was running. Adam smiled and stopped gathering magical energy for the Little Fireball.

Soon they reached the garden, where a tall and slender man was standing. He had brown hair, which he wore neatly trimmed, and gray eyes.

- Older Brother. - Adam said nervously, imitating Edric's usual tone.

Harold von Aschenwald is Edric's older brother. A two-faced scum, the embodiment of the proverb "strength is power, no brains," heir to the Marquis of Ashenwald.

And so, Harold looked at Adam with an annoyed look. Adam, in turn, pretended to be frightened. And as for the old man? That damned dog was already behind Harold's back!

- Why are you late, Edric?! - Harold shouted, and his shout sounded like the rattle of metal.

- I-I was changing. - Adam answered nervously, though in his mind he was thinking something else entirely. - "Doggy, do you think I should run to you like an obedient dog?"

Adam's eyes flashed and Harold's profile appeared before him.

[Name: Harold von Aschenwald

Level of Magic: Medium.

Class: Battle Mage

Race: Human

Political Status: 50 points (may influence some family matters).

Title: Count.

Faction: Not in a faction

Spells: Accurate Blows, Enchantment Elemental, Minor Enhancement (Dexterity).

General Force: 510].

Adam blinked his eyes as Harold shouted something. This guy's overall strength was abnormal!

Total strength is decided by the level of magic, the number of spells, and their power. Edric's total power is 30, which means that he can be killed when thirty normal people are combined.

And it would take at least 510 people to kill Harold!

- Listen to me, little one. Despite my reluctance, you must accompany me to the Empress's birthday ball. - Harold looked darkly at Adam and threatened him. - And if you offend anyone or behave rudely, I will kill you in a second!

Adam pretended to be afraid and nodded vigorously. Harold snorted and ordered him to follow him.

After a five-minute walk, Adam and Harold arrived at the gate, where two luxurious carriages awaited them.

- Rejoice, worm, you're lucky to ride in such a beautiful carriage! - Harold said with pride and a strange smile.

Adam was led to the back of the carriage, where he stepped inside and was stunned.

"Why the fuck is it so bad here?"

A strong stench came from inside as if a corpse was being held there. The seats were broken and there was no padding, so here Adam's butt would feel the natural hardness of the wood well!

Adam was shocked at the cruelty of his family. The carriage looked luxurious on the outside, but inside it was a living hell, where even a rotten rat would be ashamed to be!

However, Adam had no opportunity to complain. Against Harold, he was powerless.

"Well, one of these days I'm going to torture you good, you bastard." Adam thought as he sat down on a hard tree.

And during their journey, Adam strengthened his desire for revenge on Harold and his family. It seemed to him as if the coachman had ridden the rocks on purpose to cause him pain!

Two hours later, Adam's carriage reached the place. He opened the door and ran out of the carriage, feeling the urge to break the smiling face of the coachman.

However, he soon had to put that plan aside as Harold gestured for him to come to him. Reluctantly, Adam approached Harold, and together they entered the hall.

And the deeper they went, the stranger Adam's face became.

"F**k, that motherfucker deserves an Oscar!"
