Tokyo, Jujutsu High...
A group of figures were gathered before a small van waving goodbye to their teammates.
"I'll miss you Ieiri. May we meet again soon in heaven..." Smiling, Satoru wiped a non existent tear from his eye, as Suguru laughed beside him.
"You idiot! Are you sending me off to death or what?!"
Smacking him hard on the shoulder, Ieiri blurted out in annoyance.
"Don't mind these idiots Ieiri, I'm sure you'll be fine. After all, Kenshin is here..I wouldn't really be worried if I were you, after all he can go toe to toe with princess over here.."
Flashing a mocking glare towards Satoru, Utahime comforted Ieiri, as Satoru's face warped into an annoyed one.
"Hey! I went easy on him! You know that!"
He retorted fiercely, however the others only laughed.
Meanwhile, Kenshin stood at the side, surrounded by an injured Hiroshi, Nanami and Makoto.
"I'll miss you buddy.."
Hiroshi leaned in for a hug but Kenshin scrunched up his face in disgust and stepped back.
"I don't swing that way.." Kenshin said with a smirk, as Nanami and Makoto cursed inwardly and laughed.
"Anyway, Kenshin, here..." Makoto walked to him and picked out a tiny black three sectioned cudgel from his pocket.
"What is this? A toy?" Kenshin asked with a raised eyebrow.
"It's a prototype cursed tool based on the Special Grade weapon called Playful cloud. However unlike playful cloud which can increase the physical strength of the user, this prototype can shrink and enlarge itself and is unusually heavy."
Holding the shrinked tool in his hand, Kenshin began to pour his cursed energy in it, and willed it to enlarge and the next moment, a long three piece sectioned cudgel was before him, covered in intricate symbols.
"It's unusually heavy..." Even Kenshin couldn't help but feel a strain in his muscles from just holding it, however a smile formed on his face. Bashing this thing into someone's brain would feel really satisfying.
" In addition to its unusual heaviness, you can straighten it into your normal cudgel or use it the way it is..."
Makoto added, as Kenshin smiled, shrunk it and placed it in his pocket.
"Thanks...I really like it.." Laughing, he patted Makoto's shoulder.
"You shouldn't thank me..it's a defective product and no one in my clan wants it because it's too heavy..." Makoto shook his head and spoke with a humble smile.
"Damn. Your Zen'in clan is really loaded, Makoto, able to throw such a cursed tool away casually and call it defective.."
Hiroshi chuckled while Nanami sighed. Money was really important in this world.
"Anyway, see you guys later.." Waving towards them, Kenshin joined Ieiri in the van and waved everyone outside briefly.
"Oi Kenshin, make sure to protect Ieiri okay, you know she's pretty weak.."
Letting out another comment, Ieiri almost threw her shoe at Satoru's perfectly handsome face.
.
As the van drew along the streets of Tokyo, Ieiri decided to take a nap, while Kenshin decided to go through the mission details.
"Sensoji Temple Area, Asakusa?" Kenshin read out the location with interest.
'Interesting...not only are people getting possessed by so called devils, others are getting missing as well?'
Reading out the happenings he couldn't help but shake his head seeing the rumored grade of the cursed spirit responsible for the current happenings.
Not that he found it impossible to believe that a first grade was behind all this, but he found it hard to believe, after the crazy past few weeks he had experienced.
For all he knew, it might've been a trap set by that snake, Kenzo to take him out once and for all. After a while, he just sighed and took a nap as well, after all he would be needing a lot of mental strength.
.
After about an hour and thirty minutes, they finally reached the destination and were taken to a hotel to spend the night and then begin the mission tomorrow.
"I can't believ how cheap that old man is! At the very least he could've ordered two separate rooms for us, and now we have to sleep in the same room and even share a bed!"
Flinging her bag onto the rather large mattress Ieiri blurted out in annoyance.
It wasn't her fault though. No girl would be able to keep calm if a handsome guy like Kenshin was going to sleep in the same room and on the same bed with them even if it was just for a single night.
Rolling his eyes at her loud remarks, Kenshin wasted no time and took off his shirt revealing the black vest he wore underneath and walked to the bathhouse leaving a stunned Ieiri completely speechless.
After minutes in the shower, he came out with only a towel wrapped around his waist, showing off his impressive figure. Normally, Ieiri would've been entranced by such a perfect figure however she felt pity and sympathy in her heart, seeing the scars that riddled his body, especially on his back and chest.
Walking up to him absentmindedly, her old habit as a healer kicked in and she began tracing her finger on the scar, while her eyes held a sorry look.
"Does it hurt?"
She asked and lifted her head to look him in the eye. Without saying a thing, Kenshin gently took her finger off his body and walked to the bed, picked up a white sweatshirt and put it on, before he wore a pair of shorts underneath the towel and took the towel off.
"How did you get your scars?" Asking one more time, disregarding his right to privacy, she walked to him and sat beside him.
Raising a head to look at her once more, Kenshin took a breath before uttering.
"I prefer not to talk about it.." He turned towards the mission file and began reading through once more.
Respecting his decision, she refused to ask any further and entered the bathroom for a shower, while Kenshin sat alone in silence.
Memories flashing through his mind he couldn't help but have flashbacks or his childhood. A childhood that he had lost. While normal 8 year olds and 9 year olds were playing in snow, eating ice cream and candys, he was training, for his life, getting scarred by his uncles own blade every single day.
He had told him that those scars would remind him of what he had given to become what he is now. At first, Kenshin thought it was some random bullshit, but now it made perfect sense. Every scar held a memory and reminded him of what needed to be done and accomplished.
Sighing, he placed the mission file away and curled himself on the bed like a shrimp, before entering a deep sleep.
.
The next morning, the chirping of beds and buzzing of insects joined in harmony, creating a symphony inspired by nature itself.
Within the hotel, the warm glow of the morning sun permeated the room, directly falling onto Kenshin's face.
The next moment, his eyes immediately glared open, heart rate increasing and respiration increasing. This was a reflex that he had developed for over 10 years of training with that wicked and unpredictable old man.
Sighing to himself, he relaxed and turned his head only to see Ieiri's figure in a nightgown lying beside him and in his embrace.
Not wanting to make any noise to wake her up, Kenshin tried moving his hands gently, however as if sensing his movements, her eyes snapped open instantly.
*ARGHHHHH!*
Realizing her current position and the way her body was wrapped around Kenshin's in ecstatic sensuousness, she screamed like a scared little girl and pushed him off the bed, while covering herself with a blanket.
Being thrown to the ground abruptly, sighed to himself and quickly arose, making a mental note never to sleep in the same bed with her, before he rushed into the washroom in embarrassment.
.
The temple of Sensoji was one of the oldest in Japan, rumored to be the home of Gods in the past times. It was located on top of a small hill and surrounded by a lush green forest. All in all, it generated a massive amount of foreign income for the city of Asakusa due to being their very main tourist site.
However a few months ago things started to go wrong, three foreign girls went missing in the temple with no signs of them anymore. There was no struggle, no blood, no torn clothes, nothing.
It was like they had just vanished into thin air.
At first, the people thought it absurd for three human beings to just vanish without leaving signs behind, however after a week, the disappearance of 17 other girls from the city had to make them rethink their options.
The city police were useless in this matter due to the fact that even they couldn't even investigate due to the lack of evidence or leads.
Another few months later, an entire extended family was brutally murdered, and the sole survivor, a little boy claimed that the murderer was his mother who had allegedly come back from the grave.
With all these happenings the people reverted back to their old ways and began worshipping their Gods in order to appease their angry hearts, however things only seemed to get worse.
.
At the entrance of the temple that had been yellow taped, two figures in standard Jujutsu uniform stood while casually examining the place.
Standing in awkward silence without talking to each other and looking around, the blue haired youth decided to enter the temple without an iota of fear.
"Why are we here? Arent we supposed to be hunting curses?"
Clearing her throat, Ieiri asked while looking at Kenshin who seemed to be busily examining the statues with his Rinnegan.
"Hey uhhh, I want to apologize for what happened this morning..." Touching his back gently, Kenshin turned around and nodded with a sigh.
"The concentration of cursed energy here is impressive. Whatever cursed spirit had kidnapped those three girls must still be around. If we find it, we can get access to the others.."
Smiling and murmuring, Kenshin's Rinnegan glanced around. Using the all seeing ability to see through the walls and pillars he could detect signs of a subtle cursed energy that seemed to be moving through shadows.
*AsbsnUlsnIn!!!*
As if right on cue, a disgusting voice rang out, as Kenshin and Ieiri stood their ground, unshaken by the evil.
Materializing two third grade long swords, he handed them over to her, before he took out his three piece sectioned cudgel and hanged it along his shoulders, before walking to a stone slab and taking a seat, waiting for the cursed spirit to complete its grand entrance.
A/N: This ff isn't a big of a hit like I assumed it would be. I don't think it's caught the interest of many people like the previous one. It makes me feel like I'm wasting my time so I might have to drop it🤷🏻♂️
