Ch 15 - A Line of Hope

Knowing the cause and effect, this cave no longer looked that terrible to Chen Xing.

Chen Xing searched under the stone wall for a while, and a colorful Gu worm appeared in his hand. This was a photo-audio Gu, and the movie on the stone wall was played by it. The value of this Gu worm was not high, but if the content in it was handed over to the current Patriarch Gu Yue, it should be able to get him a lot of benefits, and hence Chen Xing put the Gu in his aperture.

Next came the corpse of Flower Wine Monk. He didn't forget that there was still a Gu worm hidden inside the corpse. This corpse was just a prop of the system. After meandering the water flow for two hours and going downstream, the cliffs on both sides gradually widened, and the greenery began to appear between the boulders. He had come to an open space.

After walking for a while, many twisted strange trees appeared on the cliff, with a grimace growing on the torso of these strange tree, and strange things which looked like evil spirits were passing under them. When he thought that these ghost trees would not attack people, tree roots suddenly appeared underground to entangle him. Chen Xing was shocked, and he launched dozens of moon blades before escaping from the roots of these trees.

There were so many creatures. Chen Xing escaped or fought, desperately trying to save his life.

The moon came out after sunset, and it was night before he knew it. Huge bats appeared in the sky, and the hiding beasts came out to look for food, and the whole canyon was perilous for Chen Xing to move around. Chen Xing hid under the depression of a boulder, and only felt that years had gone by in this dangerous life. In the current situation, he didn't dare to go offline, except for a pack of instant noodles at noon, and he didn't even eat dinner. The mental pressure he had to face was too high. Now he was not the hungry in the game, but in reality.

He was feeling really sleepy by now.

"I can't give up yet" Chen Xing gritted his teeth to make himself sober. It was not safe under the boulder. He just killed a crawling scorpion. If he fell asleep, the character would die if he encountered any such creature during that time.

A bit of sweet smell came, Chen Xing's mind felt dizzy, and the system even prompted him that he was poisoned. This snake was so poisonous, Chen Xing got poisoned just by smelling it. He quickly drank a glass of fruit wine, and his symptoms of poisoning improved slightly.

In the latter half of the night, the area was affected by the smell of the poisonous snake. Few wild beasts came to his hiding place. Chen Xing's body was fully covered in blood and bite marks. He had survived the whole night but now couldn't stop the eyelids from closing. Suddenly there was a ray of light on his face. Chen Xing was tranced, his eyelids flickering, his body bathing in warm rays of sunlight and then his eyes closed as he left everything in the hands of fate and he finally fell into darkness.
