"You're back" a voice said
"Sorry, just wanted to see what that boy is like" Urie replied
"Well how is he?" a female voice asked
"Great, his bodyguard and that other kid's body guard are strong as well, but shouldn't be too much of a problem" Urie answered "He has a lot of potential, can probably join our ranks too"
"Seems interesting if our number 3 says it, I want to meet him myself" the female voice chuckled
"Hey blood sucking freak, did the boy receive our warning?" another voice shouted
"Just call me a vampire, no need for names, but it has been reported that they did, I'm looking forward to this year's performances" Urie grinned

The day just started and since our class is joining together this morning, I walked with Eleanor who is heading in the same direction
"What are you competing in?" Eleanor asked
"Obstacle course, close combat and break the crystal, what about you?"
"Long range combat and break the crystal" she answered
"Do you know who's going to be on your team for break the crystal yet? cuz I don't"
"No, not yet, we'll know this after noon" she replied
-Too bad we can't join, we can only watch from the sides- Siege said
Break the crystal is a game where there is 2 teams of 5, both having a giant crystal to protect, there are 3 roles, guards, soldiers and rogue. 2 have to be guards, 2 have to be soldiers and the last 1 have to be rogue. Soldier's job is to attack the crystal and they can only attack the guards and the rogue, the guard's job is to protect the crystal, and can only attack the soldiers and the rogue. And last but not least, the rogue can attack anyone on the field and can help both on offense and defense, and it's the riskiest role because they can be attacked by the other roles.
If a soldier attack another soldier or a guard attack the other guards, they will be taken off the field. There is no rules against a guard using support magic from afar. And if a team's soldiers and rogue can no longer continue, the guards will be given the role of a rogue to finish the game.
To win the game, you either have to break the other team's crystal first or all the opponents can no longer continue.
We went through the day like normal, but since we were chosen as representatives, we will get extra training after school, professor Steel and his sister was in charge of the first year's training.
We were training and it was tougher training than what we experienced in class, long range combat training asked students to shoot out spells till their mana run out or the student themselves pass out. As for close combat training, we head to fight while cladding ourselves with mana and we had to fight till we all pass out exhausted.
Obstacle course training was stamina training since the competition's course is longer and harder.
Finally it was time for the team announcement for our team for break the crystal. We then met with the upperclassmen, I was teamed with Albert, Elliot, Caleb and Liam.
"Nice to meet you guys again"
"Save it, let's discuss the roles" Elliot replied
"I'll be a guard, I can also support from afar" Albert suggested
"I'll join you for that" Caleb added "I'll tank the damage for the crystal if necessary , I can also use light magic for support"
"Since I barely know any support magic, I'll be a soldier" Liam said
"I mostly know attack spells as well, but that would leave the last role for our little captain here, is that fine with you?" Elliot asked me
"Of course, it's the most fun role"
"You're just crazy" Elliot replied "But our discussion went smoother than I thought"
-I can't wait to beat all of those guys up-
-Yeah and I can't wait to see the blood spilling and screams- Ace added
-The game is break the crystal not break your opponent- Dabria retorted
"We're about to do our first practice match, I'm so excited to beat everyone into a pulp"
"Calm down there, we all are, during the competition, we're allowed to only use 2 equipments, C rank at most, bonds will count as both this time" Elliot said "Since it's practice, we'll just use wooden weapon or fight barehanded"
"I know, I know, hey guys I got a plan, wanna hear it?"
"Well if it's good, then I will" Liam replied
We then went to a field with the length of a 100m, there was also rocks and obstacles along the way to block one side to see where the other crystal is located
"In the real thing, the stage will be bigger and the terrain would be way harsher, so this is your stage for training to prepare you" Professor Steel announced "You can move the crystal however you wish, the team led by Perseus will be team A and the team led by Jacob will be team B"
We were in a practice match against Eleanor's group, she was teamed with Lucas, Cecily and 2 third years, Caleb and Albert placed a blue arm band around their arm, Elliot and Liam wore a red one, and I got a yellow one, professor Emma who handed them out giggled
"Of course, you're the rogue" she giggled
"I suppose you can't tell me the roles of the other team right?"
"No of course not" she replied "Go on now"
I then headed back to the crystal where the other 4 are.
"Professor Williams just taught us today, I can't believe you mastered it already" Albert said
"I've practiced during the time we weren't at school, I don't always slack off"
-You'll find a reason to- Dabria replied
"Start!" Professor Steel announced
After that I used warp gates to warp me, and the others right above their location
"What the-" Lucas got cut off because I knocked him out the way down with my fist which was surrounded by aura
-It's still bad, but it'll work, to think it works on your own body too is amazing-
In their moment of hesitation, Albert and Caleb knocked down the soldiers, Elliot and Liam knocked out the guards, and I used my fist which was surrounded by aura and lightning magic to knock out Lucas who was their rogue, Elliot and Liam then both destroyed the crystal with their respective lightning and wind magic.
"That was easy"
"Yeah, caught them by surprised, doubt it'll work during the actual competition, we can use it once at best" Liam replied
"And we didn't break any rules either" Caleb joined in
"Well well well, seems like your team don't really need to work on your teamwork so much if you all are in sync" professor Steel commented "That's a win for team A!"
