Equipping the items from my inventory, something I didn't realize I could do until now, the Lotus of the Void appears around the right ear, simple, easy and most importantly NOT painful.

The Heart of Nexus, however was painful. Appearing at the base of my neck it burrowed it's way under my skin and broke apart. Feeling like insects crawling under my skin, the broken prices move to different places on my body, one to my brain, one to my heart and two along my multiple along my spine, feeling where each went and where they stopped and took root, felt about how I would imagine it would if I were being stabbed. It was a quick pain and luckily dissipated quickly, but I never want that to happen again. My vision Went black for a moment and when I opened my eyes, my brain relaxed and my thoughts became clearer. I also noticed the world seemed slower for a moment before normal speed returned

Getting fully out of my bed I equip my school uniform, which was a light brown skirt, with a white undershirt and a light brown long sleeved jacket with a pocket on the left chest. looking back at Oreo I try to think of a way to bring him with me.

" Oreo do you mind staying in my inventory during school?" I thought that would be the simplest way to bring him along

' I mean we could try' Oreo told me, and I picked him up and attempted to store him the Inventory, but when I tried It was rejected

Looking at my inventory I see a small Icon near the top that said [SOUL BOUND ITEMS] clicking on it I see small pictures of the lotus, Nexus, and a small plush cat. ' System do you mind'

' Well that was interesting. I wonder what affection does? Whatever I want to explore a bit before I have class.' I then plop Oreo on my head, tell him to hold on, and we're off

I move to front of my bed and find an unconscious girl laying face down near end of my bed. So I did what any reasonable person would and poked her in the cheek until she woke up.

The Girl on the floor stirred awake muttering, "Emmy I don't want to get up, it's too early" her droopy eyes coming into focus, meet mine. Then a screech echo's through the room and she jumps up and gets into a fighting stance

Another girl I didn't know was their heard the scream and tried to get out of bed quickly, but I think they forgot they were wearing a sleeping mask because they face planted on the floor, after trying to get off the bed, causing me and the other girl or watch her unmoving body momentarily.

Averting my attention back to the girl who was on the floor sleeping, she is now in a fighting stance staring at the little child before her.

"who are you and how did you get into our room" The girl said in a cool voice, completely different from the high pitched screech I had just heard.

" I'm your new roommate" I said in a cheerful voice, completely ignoring the fact she looks like she was going to fight me.

Looking at the girl in front of me, she had Black hair with red highlights on the fringes of her hair and a slightly pinker color on the underside covered by her frame. She had deep blue eyes that reminded me of fire more than water, a fair complexion, was wearing a Black dress with red accents and chains on it, and at the moment, she was rocking those depressed person vibes, Which I completely understand when your waken up way too early. looking back over to the other girl who was having issues standing up, she had golden blond hair, and a skin tone similar to the first, she was wearing yellow and white sleepwear and her sleeping mask which she finally realized she had on his her golden eyes. Just by a quick glance you could tell these people were polar opposites.

"Huh, what's that?" The other girl, who had gotten up off the ground walks between us. Not paying any attention to either of us, she arrived at a small table near the front of the room. On the table was a letter, which the girl opened and read aloud.

Dear, Miss Morningstar, and Miss Astra

I have written this letter to inform you of a last minute change in your sleeping quarters. A new student will be joining you. Her name is Alice and she is a bit of an odd one from what I've seen and believe she'll fit in with you just fine. Please do not be alarmed if you see a six year old looking child in your room in the near future.

Their attention back at me we all stood their awkwardly looking at each other trying to figure out what to do now.

" I'm Alice like the crazy old man said, nice to meet you" I extend my hand between the two in case someone wanted to shake.

The girl I found on the floor took my hand smiling "Heh, I like you kid, now how'd you get into this school so young?"

" How old do you think I am?" I ask " About six, seven, why?" was her reply " I'm ten almost Eleven" I reply with a deadpan expression

" Hah! Definitely don't looked like it, anyways I'm Caroline Morningstar" acting as if she didn't just call me small, she even patted my head too, not that I didn't like it, pets feel nice. "A-and I'm Emmavailya Astra, but people just call me Emmy" the other girl said to me, as she gave a little bow.

" Nice to meet you both. I was just about to go walk around the school want to join me?"

"Ok" Emmy replied "Sure, why not, can't go back to sleep anyway" Was

They both changed into theirs cloths, Caroline wearing black and red, Emmy yellow and white, we left soon after. Looking back at the two of them, I notice that they were both holding the dolls I saw the night before.

I decide to be direct in this situation "So, why are you carrying those dolls around?"

They seemed momentarily uneasy but quickly masked it. "We just like having them around, they've been great friends and we understand if you think is weird" Emmy said

Turning around I stare at them impassively and just point to my head where a certain cat plush was chilling getting no verbal response from the girls. 'And silence, these people are going to be a blast being around if majority of it is just awkward silence this adorable kitten thinks.'

Chuckling at my internal dialogue, and my growing pride in my adorableness, I turn and continue walking the others following shortly after.

" So why are you walking around the school this morning?" Emmy finally speaks up

" I want to be familiar for classes later today." I respond being sure to remember where we were and had been, sense the whole point of this walk was to learn the school

" You do realize classes don't start for another few days?" Emmy said

" Then why was I told school starts today?" I ask

Caroline chips in "while classes don't start for two days, the welcoming competition, starts today and continues until classes start. I thought all the students knew that you wouldn't be able to learn in a class missing people and a teacher."

" What's the welcoming competition?" I ask with innocent curiosity, while looking over at Caroline stumble and attempt not to fall over

" What do you mean 'What's the welcoming competition' it's like one of the most popular events at the Adventurer's Guild, it helps show a students strength, rank the students by year, and show the fighting styles of the students to each other to allow for better cooperation in the event of an emergency. It also helps the teachers understand what each individual needs to work on specifically in their classes. How do you not know about it?"

" It sounds fun, but don't be overly supprised about what I do and don't know. I'm not fully aware of a lot of stuff, I just found myself in the forest yesterday with no clue where I was or anything of recent importance for that matter." I reply

" What like memory loss" Emmy said with a concerned tone

" Not sure, I don't remember" I reply, with a smirk

Caroline seemed to get the joke because she started laughing hard, I think she got a laugh stick on her throat because she kinda looked like she was in pain too, it was concerning, so I punched her in the solar plexus and knocked the wind out of her.

" Alice!" Emmy called out, but what attracted my attention the most was that Caroline's doll stirred slightly

' Interesting' I thought to myself, and put out my hand to help Caroline up

" Sorry, I thought it would help, you looked like you were in pain, at least your not laughing now." I give her a smile, she just shakes her head

" You are a weird one Alice" she said taking my hand

" Sense we don't need to be wandering now, do you all want to do something?" I ask

" We could go to the guild Cafe area" Emmy sounded excited when she said this

" The guild has a Cafe?" I asked, I feel of all the types of restaurant type places that could be in a Adventurer's Guild a Cafe is the most unusual

" Well technically it's not only a Cafe, in the morning it is a Cafe that has breakfast foods, and in the evening it changes to a Bar." Caroline said as we were walking towards it

Arriving at the front of the Adventurer's Guild we walk up the familiar flight of stairs to the place I discovered the wonder that was milk.

"Hello Mr. Kline" Emmy said with a small bow to the bartender. " Wassup" Caroline said waving a hand towards him " Hello, again" I say, and we all sit on along the bar facing him

" Oh you're all up already, even Caroline? Has the world ended?" Kline said with a smile looking at the other two

" Ha ha, Old man you got me. I didn't want to be up either, but thanks to this chibi kitten I am" Caroline said going behind me and pulling my cheeks which hurt a lot, turning them red

" So can you pity me and not have me pay today?" Caroline asked in a pathetic voice

" I suppose I could let you get a free Coffee ticket" Said Kline looking as if he was thinking hard on something

" Your the best!" Caroline said" So where's the ticket"

" I'm sorry that will cost you 3 copper for the fee coffee ticket" Kline said with a wide grin

" But that's the same as a cup of coffee" Caroline looked as if she had been wronged

"I'm assuming you want a Hot chocolate" Kline said as he points towards Emmy " And a Black coffee for you" he pointed at Caroline this time

" Yes please" they reply in unison, Emmy sounding chipper and Caroline sounding like she had just had all the energy drained from her

' Didn't she sound fine like not even a few seconds ago?' I thought to myself

" And you?" Kline was standing in front of me

" I don't have any money sorry" was all I could reply

After a moment he leaves and cones back with three drinks a cup of hot chocolate for Emmy, a Cup of Coffee for Caroline and a glass of milk for me

" Here you are, also Your still going to have to pay me for the milk, but later is fine" He said

" I drink the milk and it was just as wonderful as last time. I unconsciously began wagging my tail as my ears twitched slightly, and a content expression washed over my face as I continued to drink

I feel staring on me so I look over to find a Caroline with faint blush and Emmy is nowhere to be seen.

I feel arms wrap around my waist and I am lifted up off the ground and crushed by a hug from behind

" That was adorable" Emmy squealed into my ear way to loud, I was also starting to notice air was no longer entering my lungs

" How are these people so strong?" I wonder as I am struggling in her grasp

After a second I manage to escape but Emmy seemed sad now, her bunny on her shoulder looking like it was trying to console her.
