Reborn with the Dream System

In the vast universe, there are an infinite number of worlds. Each one is special, but one of them is more than the others. At first glance, nothing differentiates it from the others. But unlike all the others. All the ones that know about the rules of the universe have a name for it: "The Starter World," but the ones living on it call it Earth.

Earth is completely sealed off. The only ones that can access it are the people born on it and the few Gods monitoring it. It also meant that energies that run through The universe are absent from it.

Some worlds call those energies Mana and others Spiritual energy, but all those things are impossible on Earth.

That world is a world of Mortals where new souls are born before the Gods that monitor send them into the vast universe to be reincarnated.

In that world lived a girl named Alice Wright. She thought of herself as one of the most unfortunate people on Earth. Normally if someone claims something like that, it is seen as an exaggeration, but in her case, there was some truth about it.

She was born into a wealthy and powerful family but was cast out when she was 15 because of the machinations of her younger brother, who wanted the full inheritance. Her bastard brother forged emails and bribed people to convince their parents that she wanted to kill them to become family head early.

After being thrown out, she was taken in by her best friend's family, who still believed her when she said she was innocent. That friend was named Emily Anderson. She was happy for some time before tragedy stroke again. A few months after she began to live with them, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson died in a car accident caused by a mad truck.

Both girls were left alone but stood together against adversity. Emily sold her parent's house to buy a two-bedroom apartment for them to live in. They lived like that together, making ends meet by both taking part-time jobs.

But bad luck stroke Alice again when in chemistry class, one of her schoolmates made a mistake while doing an experiment. Her beautiful face was sprayed with concentrated chloride acid. She, of course, was treated, but she didn't have enough money to pay for facial surgery. Her face now had an ugly scar that looked like a starfish, and her once gorgeous red hair now had a few short white strands.

This was too much for Alice. After being mocked for being disfigured, she now refused to leave the apartment and became a recluse. She drowned her sorrow in escapism. Manga, novels, Video games, and anime. Alice didn't want to become a burden to the only person that didn't abandon her, so she became a full-time Vtuber. Since she was talented, she managed to make some money and support Emily's studies.

Four years passed just like that. Alice became more and more passionate about her hobbies. Her fans on Twatch called her a woman of culture, and her haters called her a degenerate.

Her relationship with Emily became closer and closer as the years passed by.

That day she decided to go out for the first time in years to celebrate Emily's graduation. Alice had decided to confess; She had regained confidence in herself because, after 4 years of hard work, she finally had enough money to pay for face surgery.

But fate didn't allow for her to be happy. After she had finished preparing herself for dinner, she decided to go on her balcony to get some fresh air and gather her courage. But as she leaned on the balcony, the steel bars detached from the wall, and Alice fell to her death.

As she saw the ground come closer, she couldn't help but think.
