Chapter 1

Portland, Oregan, In one of the rooms of a rather small yet cozy 2 bedroom apartment a man and a woman were sleeping next to each other.

The man had black hair with a handsome to somewhat boyish look and he had his hand underneath the woman's head letting her use his arm as a pillow despite already having a softer one.

The woman was equally beautiful with black hair and an equally charming facial features. They had their bodies under the cover and while the woman was sleeping peacefully, the same could not be said about the man as his face was scrunched and his brows twitched. His eyes were moving rapidly inside his eyelids indicating that he was having a nightmare and considering how intense it was, it could very well be a hidden trauma.

His heart was pumping at a rapid pace and his body was unnaturally sweating. An anomaly was happening to him both at a physical and at a spiritual level which was hidden from the naked eye. 

Suddenly everything came to a stop, be it the nightmares or the twitches and finally even his heart and breath. For the next few seconds his heart was completely still as he had fallen into an eternal slumber. 

While all this was happening the woman who was next to him was sleeping rather peacefully and was completely in the dark about her partner's death. While still half asleep she turned her body and placed her arm around her now deceased boyfriend's chest and hugged him to sleep. 

It was quite normal for her to lack any such reaction despite being a doctor albeit a one that takes care of animals  as she was in a half sleep state and did not even think of such a development. 

Outside their house the weather which was rather quiet and peaceful turned into a storm within a span of seconds. This completely unscientific change left the meteorological department in Portland baffled. As per their readings today was supposed to be a quiet and sunny day and it had been such a day until a sudden storm had arrived without any prior indication from their barometer and other instruments.

The department's head along with his subordinates constantly monitored the reading picked up from their weather satellites, barometer, radiosondes etc to study the reason for the sudden change only to come up empty. 

This scene persisted for 10 minutes and during these 10 minutes the storm was heavy and many houses in the low line areas had their roof blown up from getting hit by strong winds. Wires hanging from poles fell and the most irritating of all to the people of Portland was the obvious electricity cut turning the entire city dark.

During this time inside the meteorological department despite the heavy storm outside the machines still couldn't read the reason and soon started going haywire and the reading came out bizzare with sometime showing that it was sunny and sometime showing that it was snowy evoking many theories from the people of meteorological department and the most famous ones were the classic bermuda triangle phenomenon had somehow arrived at Portland. 

This anomaly continued only for ten minutes and before long the weather returned to the same condition it was previously. The storm disappeared the same way it appeared before and night regained it's tranquility leaving behind the destruction it caused as the only evidence of the anomaly. 

The man who had his heart stopped suddenly regained his breath and his heart started pumping at a normal pace but the body which had it's heart stopped experienced intense rejections making him experience intense convulsion and cough waking him & his girlfriend up in the process. 

The man held his hand above his heart and coughed as if he had swallowed a fish bone. Looking at his state his girlfriend hurriedly patted his back and also the back of his head with a worried look on her face and asked if he wanted water. 

Though his body had regained life the soul which was previously inside this body was not the soul which had returned and the person who had arrived inside this body was experiencing confusion and intense rejection at soul level. 

Just as his mental capacity was about to break, the resistance shattered and the soul which was already present within the body quickly dissolved and merged with the soul which had recently arrived, leaving behind 23 years worth of memories behind as the only proof of his existence. 

The confused mind regained a sense of tranquility as the soul which had now merged with this new body felt itself gaining strength and clarity followed by control over it's new body. Hearing a voice near it and the constant pat on the back and head made the soul control it's new body to open it's eyes and look at the person beside it. 

The first time he looked at her he was a bit shocked and confused. He knew the woman, not personally. She was an actress who played the role of Juliette in the TV series called Grimm and him having watched Grimm was quite shocked to see actress Bitsie Tulloch sitting next to him while wearing a rather skimpy nightgown with her rather peach coloured collarbone and shoulders exposed. 

Every now and then she lowered her body to check up on him letting him catch a glimpse of her cleavage. His nostrils flared from the scent which wafted from her body. As the soul which is occupying the body was a 16 year old and a virgin it was the first time for him to be near any woman much less a beautiful actress.

'Now is not the time to be thinking about this' the man thought as he used his hand to prop himself out of the bed and went towards the bathroom after explaining to the woman beside him that he wants to use the restroom.

The main reason for this was to make himself calm down while also digesting the memories he had inherited from this body.

Going inside the bathroom the man looked at his face reflecting in the mirror and just like he had predicted it was David Guintoli. 'The only trouble in this guessing game is that they are an actual couple even in real life,' thought the man who had now occupied the body of David Guintoli/Nick Burkhart. 

'Looks like I need to wait till my soul and body gets completely merged to figure things out. Meanwhile I might as well use this body to my advantage' thought the man as he flashed a smirk and dragged his body out of the bathroom and made his way towards his now hot girlfriend and hugged her.

"Nick??" said the woman whom within that short exchange figured out was Julliete and he was in the world of Grimm but put such thoughts at the back of his brain and held the back of her head and brought his lips towards hers and gave a rather soft kiss followed by a rougher one while inserting just a bit of his tongue and closed his eyes to enjoy this sensation.
