Inner Conflict

Apollo grew in height as years passed by, his mother took them to a place where green could be seen.

Wild vegetables were growing in the environment of this place, while animals and various exotic life went on about their daily lives.

Insects, birds, mammals, fish and other different types of animals were there to admire in all their glory.

They were not 'perfect' like the gods, but that's what made them unique and special. They had their own charm which could only be appreciated by a person who could see their worth.

But even the gods themselves weren't 'perfect' to be said. Physically they might have been perfect and all powerful but flaws existed everywhere no matter how small they might have been.

One bird could be seen tweeting in sync with Apollo, catchy and rhythmic the sound was, ears melted like chocolate to the sound, oh yes they did.

But Apollo suddenly stopped when he imminently noticed something. Once he realised who it was, Apollo ruffled the person's hair.

Artemis: "Hey, stop it" she giggled as Apollo had a grin painted on his face.

Apollo: "Hows my favourite sister" he softly spoke towards his twin.

Artemis: "Your only sister actually" she sharply replies with her arms crossed.

Apollo didn't see anyone else as family other than his sister and mother, I mean why should he? It's not like he had spent any time with them.

Plus they were all strangers to him, family didnt only mean only related by blood, but the bounds you have with people is what truly could be called family.

Since his father Zeus didn't care when his mother was being pursued by Hera, Zeus didn't try to stop her from killing both Apollo and Artemis. He could have stopped her, but he didn't. He didn't try stop her.

While his mother forgiven Zeus in her heart, Apollo didn't. His flames did not allow it as Zeus wasnt a decent person by any means.

But enough of that, after Apollo found out he was reborn he learned many things and what he wanted to do.

He didnt read a lot of greek history to know anything about greek history, but he knew bits and bobs here and there.

One being that the original Apollo was a bit of a fool when it came to love life.

Also the fact that Zeus fucked anything which moved. Sure he could become an Olympian god, but that's not what he really wanted.

He could tell they didn't care about humans, they thought themselves as the principle of life, what they said was law. Apollo saw this as foolish. but humans also saw themselves the same, they destoryed and depleted resources more than that it could recover. In the future he knew they would do so as he lived that life.

He had some care about the world and humans, the fact he was once human enforced that ideal. he knew they could be bad and good, but humans had the ability to do great things or entirely destory ecosystems but more so destory. He had hoped that maybe humans could learn to coexist with animals enough as to not selfishly destroy too much.

He knew many people would disagree with him, many gods would and humans if they were in his position. Who knows.

Apollo wasnt dumb enough to think he was able to beat gods who had lived longer then him. They have years of experience under their belt, if it came to such a point where gods would make humans extinct and start it over.

Of course thats if only if humans proved themselves to be able to redeem their actions. He had read a bit of the shuumatsu no valkyrie (record of ragnarok) and would probably suggest the same thing as it did in the manga.

Closing his eyes he laid down and relaxed on the earth on which he currently walked on.

Thinking about his past life and his family made his heart ache while also being happy in some way.

The reason so is that he loved his family very much, but he didn't really share a good relationship where you could talk to them about your problems.

Not that they were bad or anything. It's more like they werent there for him when times get tough, in detail things like mental health etc.

He had always felt emotionally numb, living without a purpose in life. Without actual satisfaction to speak of. Constantly wearing a mask with no one to talk to about his problems and deepest feelings.

He always felt alone, but it was his fault as well. Not actually taking action in his life, always isolating himself, quarantine made him open his eyes in how lonely he truly was.

So he tried to change, but died before he could, lost in the most anime possible. To a truck he wouldn't have it any other way.

So he swore to himself that in the life he has now that he would take control over his life. Some bad habits were still there. He was pretty anti-social so he needed to work on that.

But enough about himself, there were more important things to focus on. One being his powers, one weird thing he noticed was that was a feeling inside of himself which felt like the sun.

It radiated a feeling of comfort and power, he wondered if that's what the original Apollo felt everytime and all the other gods as well. Maybe it was just him or it was different for every god.

There were many differences between him and the original Apollo and he had the feeling that some of his powers would also be different and similar, the fact being he was not the same person as Apollo would have been if he hadn't replaced him.

He knew there would be many challenges ahead of him, as a god, life would not be boring. Creatures, monsters and other gods would block his path to success.

He had many things he had wanted to fulfil in his life, wealth he did not care for, fame did not interest him, but gods needed to be known to have more power. So making his own religion was on his list.

Also learning how to fight, while exploring the depths of his power was also one thing he wanted to do. At the moment he needed to get some food.

Now standing up he readies the bow in which his mother had made as a gift for his birthday.

Apollo steadily gripped the wooden hunting bow firmly in his left hand, as he held it out in front of his torso. Reaching down by his right side, his thumb, index and middle fingertips lightly grasp the feathered arrow which now laid in the palm of his hand

Apollos arm bulged with immense strength which came along with being a god, a thick vein ran across his bicep and forearm showing off the vascularity and the power which came along with his strength.

His physique like many gods was perfect. Chest, arms, biceps, legs not one was neglected and was in perfect balance with each other.

Looking closer and Apollo's use of the bow it was evident that he had no trouble pulling back the bow, it was quite the opposite, it was like the bow had trouble handling the raw strength. Apollo could control his strength, but as the bow was made of ordinary wood, it was a surprise it didn't break under such conditions.

Seeing as Apollo's muscular arm twitched and bulged and finally he released the feathered arrow. With a loud crack and snap while the unsuspecting animal had not expected to be killed in an instant Apollo had made sure to kill as effectively and as quickly as possible as to not cause pain to the animal aswell as to not waste any time.

He gently rubbed the animal's dirty brown coat, it was dead, he had no problem with death even in his past life. He threw the wild boar over his shoulder and walked over to the small hut that Apollos and Artemis mother Leto had built.

He had stored the body in an area where the pig stayed suspended in the air as the makeshift vine rope helped the boar from falling.

The area in which the boar was stored was dark and cold so that the boar could be eaten after long periods of time.

Apollos POV:

Leto: "Oh Apollo how are you" she spoke in a sweet motherly voice as she embraced me.

Apollo: "Im fine, i just hunted for some game for us to eat" smiling lovingly to my mother.

Leto: "Oh Apollo, i remember when you were so small, you and Artemis were inseparable, always holding hands, even now you guys are inseparable." Running a hand through my curly blonde hair.

Artmesis: "Of course we are, what would he be without us" With a cheeky grin she teased.

Apollo could be seen thinking in his head in how lucky i was to have them, they were a family which really cared about him.

Our mother reisided in motherhood which was no surprise she loved us the most.

I really didn't wanna lose them, yes they couldnt die with them being gods and could reform. But the pain was still there, plus there are ways Gods could be killed but he didnt really know how celestial bronze?

He knew that himself and both of them had to get stronger, its dumb that some people think they only need themselves to be strong to protect their loved ones.

If something happens outside of his control and he cant do anything, he atleast wanted his family to be strong enough to fend for themselves if such situation happens to present itself.

With determination rooted with his cause a slight change could be seen in his eyes, it was sudden, but a change had a accured for a short moment as his bright gold eyes had turned into a small suns slowly spinning.

He also wondered if he could turn invisible but thats for a later time.

(I have returned, sorry for taking so long. I lost all inspiration for writing for a while, I'm not asking to be forgiven I just need to find a way try to balance my time writing and school.)

(Also would like advice from more experienced writers who know what they are doing to comment on what to do and if they know alot more about Apollo than me please share and tell, also would appreciate some knowledge or anything which could help with greek mythology. Please share your thoughts with me as i am less experienced.)
